it cant be helped, lets face it gorillas are black and so are black people and its not hard to make the connection with some Darwinist theory about evolution. everyones a racist, everyones told jokes about different ethnicities, so why does it make the news? Because everyone gets a laugh inside, even the black people who claim to be offended, you know al shaprton has to keep a straight face when he goes on his tirades

It did look like a racist comic to me. The carictures used in the 30’s and 40’s served to dehumaninze blacks by portraying them in a such a manner. This comic looked very much like those carictures. I am for free speech, but Wal-mart has a right to pull the comic as well they should.
I am a little confused as to why this story made the front page of Prison Planet.

I think the reason why Prison Planet posted this article was to show the hypocrisy of Mexicans. The video shows that while Mexicans claim Americans are racist (for wanting to enforce America’s borders), Mexicans simultaneously indulge in this type of stereotypical trash, comic books with grotesquely obvious racist depictions of African Americans. This just proves once again, that the La Raza movement, and The Atzlan movement, are just racist excuses to illegaly invade another country and rape its economy.

one very fair skinned african american complained on a local tv station that the memin penguin characters have big lips and are very dark complected and this is not a realistic description of african americans,,,,,well if you go to the congo or haiti,its not far off,,,its just americas blacks have a lot of white blood which is diluting their real genetic features,,,so dont be so hard on memin penguin

If your reasoning as to why this article is on the front page is correct, then by the same reasoning if an anti KKK article could have been posted to show that all white people are racist. It’s just not fair, and it’s not accurate either. ALL ethnic groups have some members who are racist, but you just can’t label the whole group as racist because of it.

Mexico is one of the most racist Latin American countries outside of Spain and Argentina. If you go to Mexico (not recommend) you will see all sorts of racist art and satire in that country. One must keep in mind that most of these so-called hard working immigrants bring these attitudes the US to add to the countries own homegrown racist. I don’t think we need to add to it.

My rationale is that anty Mexican who enters this country illegally, and then claims that America is racist (if we want to deport them) is racist.
Otherwise I do not claim to be perfect, and I believe everyone has a certain percentage of racism and ethnocentric beliefs.
Cherry picking people’s posts for signs of racism or contradictions is a slippery slope that is a waste of time… unless you think you are perfect?
But I am not here to star a fight with you, I am here to express my feelings because I want to. And mexicans need to respect the laws and rules of America and stop telling us that we are racist.
Otherwise, say what you will about me, I am a sinner and I know it, but I also know where I am going when I die.

LISTEN TO THIS USELESS PRATTLE ABOUT A FREAKIN’ COMIC BOOK!!! What part of “divide and rule” escapes you? This bit of fluff was promoted as a “racist news event” to distract you from the real problem here. These Info-tainment shows kindly referred to as News broadcasts are meant to sew discord, and from what I can see here it worked to perfection. Do yourself a favour and see it for what it is.

Could that black woman even read Spanish? How does she know that the comic was racist?

Oh no, we need to pull Walt Disney’s Classic “Peter Pan” off the shelves next time it comes out. It makes fun of Injuns.
Oh, not to mention that every other Tom and Jerry cartoon portrays Tom’s owner as a black fat woman, with black hands and white palms, and is often voiced to sound like that of a South Mammy.
Cartoons were never supposed to be “politically correct.” The whole point of a cartoon is that it MAKES FUN of something, which is why it’s supposed to be FUNNY.
No one gets away.
Guess what. Warner Bros. needs to ban every Speedy Gonzales Merry Melody cartoons, esp. that one with Slo-poke Rodriguez.
And Ducktales? Why, what a portrayal of the Scottish!
Let’s trash Breakfast at Tiffany’s because of the portrayal of Mr. Kobayashi.

Speaking of Tom & Jerry, watch one with the mammy charachter today. The voice has been re-dubbed and she now speaks impecable English. Or perhaps I just have a defective memory and she never talked differently.

This is wrong. Maybe the comic is racist, but if someone feels that way, they ought to be able to express it without stricture or intimidation or fear of consequences. Little things like this chip away at the Constitution, even as Bush, Cheny, and Congress attack it with sledgehammers.

I really didn’t mean to set off a firestorm, I just wanted to express my opinion that the comic was racist, those who printed it had a right to print it, Wal-mart had a right to pull it, and not all Mexicans are racist.
The truth is, I believe it was put on the news as a divide and conquer technique. Everyone in every ethnic group needs to realize that they are often times pitted against each other, when the real struggle is Uber rich vs the middle class and the poor.
