Mumbai attacks ‘were a ploy to wreck Obama plan to isolate al-Qaeda’

The carnage may have been an attempt to put Pakistan and India at each other’s throats and kill US hopes for the region.
Relations between India and Pakistan were on a knife edge last night amid fears that Delhi’s response to the Mumbai attacks could undermine the Pakistani army’s campaign against Islamic militants on the frontier with Afghanistan.
Officials and analysts in the region believe that last week’s atrocities were designed to provoke a crisis, or even a war, between the nuclear-armed neighbours, diverting Islamabad’s attention from extremism in tribal areas bordering Afghanistan and thus relieving pressure on al-Qaeda, Taleban and other militants based there.
One analyst even described the attacks as a “pre-emptive strike” against Barack Obama’s strategy to put Pakistan and Afghanistan at the centre of US foreign policy.

The United States and its allies now face a balancing act in supporting India’s efforts to investigate the Mumbai attacks, without jeopardizing Pakistan’s crucial support for the Nato campaign in Afghanistan.
India’s government, facing an election by May, is under enormous pressure to respond to the attacks, which it believes was carried out by the Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba, possibly with the help of al Qaeda.
Lashkar-e-Taiba was also blamed for an attack on the Indian parliament in December 2001, which prompted India and Pakistan to mass troops on each other’s border, almost triggering their fourth war since independence in 1947.

This spectacular operation exposed the incompetence and cowardice of the Indian security services. While the bold lions of the Deccan Mujahideen stormed through the train station, slaughtering the enemy as they rampaged, an entire force of Indian police cowered and hid like frightened rabbits.

Smells like BS to me. After reading this article I can’t help but remember what happened in
Georgia. Obama isn’t even in office yet to have any real agenda working on such matters.
I personally think it sounds more like what went on in Georgia for the sake of creating chaos
and sucker punching other players into the soup. The powers to be are doing everything they
can to provoke WW 3. This is just another attempt to create havoc and justify US presense
further into Pakistan. These people are just plain mad. Maybe they need more oil and poppy
crops before Boosh leaves town.

Yes to 12gadouble00 — It is consistent with the Zbigniew Brzezinski overall plan to divide and conquer to control central and south asia. BHO is fully, I’d bet, cognizant of and in line with every ZB (and by definition, the NWO) wants to do there.

This incident was just another Let It Happen On Purpose incident, like 9/11, Madrid, and UK’s July 7th. All this nonsense about misreading intelligence or dropping the ball is total bull. The guy who photographed the shooters at the train station said that the armed police didn’t engage the gunmen at all. They just like them shoot down the civilians like dogs. This thing isn’t the work of Pakistan. It’s more like Mossad and CIA, especially when you dig deeper into the involvement of the Nariman House in Mumbai.

I wonder why the “terrorists” where trained in survival-techniques? Where they supposed to go camping after the attack?
It was a suicide attack and unless the indian police just let em walk right out of the taj mahal and into the countryside most of the training they got in pakistan would be pointless.
Is most of the terrorists still alive (just realized there is a second article about 5 missing)?
Why where there room-to-room fights in the hotel for more than 2 days? If your mindset is to secure and resque hostages shouldn’t the assualt be swift and decisive?
