National debt topped $10 trill this week

There were no fireworks so a lot of people probably missed it. We even forgot to mention it here on The Swamp when it happened though we saw the reports. Anyway, on the last day of September, the national debt hit $10 trillion plus.
President Bush signed legislation in July that raised the debt ceiling to $10.615 trillion. Meanwhile, the financial bailout legislation passed by the Senate last night would raise the debt ceiling further to $11.315 trillion.
Here’s something else worth knowing. The gross national debt as a percentage of the gross domestic product has, under the Bush Administration, hit a 50-year high. The following two charts illustrate the trend nicely.

No one has any money because we are all debt slaves now. Now they can bully congress into doing anything they want. The worse is when congress members say that now they are mad that is has come down to this? Why weren’t they mad before? They could have been mad in 2001. They should have said, “Bush, if you want to fight the terrorist, you have to fix the economy first!”. Not the other way around.

Quite frankly…who cares…?…
It’s not like you guys are planning on paying any of it off…now do you…?…
Just look at the outrage that China will be helped by the bail-out while they DO hold a huge part of your debt…
I wonder what China will do in the end…forget about the money they gave you, try to get it back, try to repossess your properties or just blow you to pieces…it’s their call…

1] Boycot everything ( if they don’t get our money they have nothing)
2] Do not Pay any Bills (they can’t arrest all of us)
3] On one day [nov.3rd ?] we all stay home from work (let the powers that be run their own dammed system)

The Government gives money away to other countries and we are 10 Trillion in debt! They have never wanted to pay off that debt!!! They misuse our money and want to drain us for more!! What about our Social Security money, they have tampered with that, they all should be arrested and replaced by people that wont be corrupted!!

What would happen if every americon’ were to not make several mortgage payments in a row and pull all their savings out of the banks? That goes as well as other loans also. Do ya’ll think the government will continue ignoring the people? As long as ya slaves keep producing, your masters will keep a screwing! Praise the Lord, wese like it that way!

I feel that many of us have forgotten who is really in controle of the entire situation. I myself dont like what has been happening to our nation but I put My faith in God not man. Pray and let God know how You feel after all God has the final say so about every situation and ask that His Will be done. Dont be distracted by the concerns of this world, remember how You will spend eternity.

Well now I can stop trying to remember $9.6 trillion in debt. $10 trillion is much easier to remember.
On a serious note, Doc Holiday’s idea of everyone pulling money out of their bank accounts is an interesting one. Demand the money in cash. If enough folks did it, it would certainly get someone’s attention. Although I’m not sure the results would be what we want.

if everyone pulled their money and did not borrow, the banks would be gone, period. Why then do they need a trillion dollars this instant? What happened to the trillions they already reaped? To buy up the smaller banks and build the global monopoly – very simple, yet nobody see’s it. Amazing how stupid americans are.

Good news is on the horizon. With the election of the most liberal senator in Congress we can expect positive changes to the way Americans view one another. An organization called Unity House will soon be lobbying for the job of bringing the nation under one roof. Once approved and funded by Congress one million educators will spread out over the nation with the task of promoting tolerance for diverse lifestyles. This will be done by the knocking on every door by groups of socially diversified educators. They will be spreading the word that we are all brothers and sisters that must learn to love one another. Each group will be made up of five educators. They will come from racially mixed and diverse backgrounds with a variety of mindsets with no lifestyle excluded. Another task this group will have is to find out if there is enough room available to accommodate a homeless person. If there is—free transportation with a food and clothing allowance will add another member to the family. Our nation has gone through years of civil unrest but it has finally coming to an end by having Americans tolerating, sharing and living together under one roof.

for the past 18 years, I haven’t been calling it a “national debt” but rather a Congressional debt. all the pork writers and spend thrifts are responsible for the debt. you might say that your rep voted for it and he speaks for you, no, they are perverted in their alliegence. they care less about the constitution, just their own wallet !!!!!!!!!!!

To “C” and all those who say that it is time to do more than discuss solutions and post to message boards. I agree with you 100%, but I still don’t see it happening. Let’s network and organise. Any ideas about the most effective way of doing this would be appreciated. I live in Jacksonville Fl, and I’m ready for this revolution. If we unite violence won’t be necessary.
