Nazi-Style Denunciation Campaign Urges Americans To Report Each Other
WeTip program offers cash rewards for anonymous tips about guns, child abuse and suspicious behavior

A privately-run informant program operating nationwide encourages Americans to anonymously turn each other in to the authorities for cash rewards in a chilling echo of the Nazi “denunciations” of 1930’s Germany, where neighbors would grass their neighbors up to the local Gestapo officer over petty issues.
The WeTip organization takes anonymous tips online or via toll free phone lines and carries the creepy slogan “For A Safer America!” on its website beneath an image of a U.S. flag.
The group forwards tips given by the public to law enforcement authorities across the country, with no jurisdictional borders.
An Orwellian poster being plastered up across American towns and cities as part of a campaign run by the organization reads, “ILLEGAL ACTIVITY IS NOT TOLERATED” and advises citizens to “turn them in” and receive a reward of up to $1000. Things to “turn them in” for include drug dealing and theft, but more vague examples such as “threats and intimidation” as well as “weapons” and “gang activity” are listed, as is “child abuse”.
Is the presence of a “weapon” in and of itself evidence of a crime in a country where citizens have the legal right to own firearms? Will your neighbor be turning you in if he sees you loading your car with a rifle on your way to the shooting range? What about “child abuse”? Will your friendly local spy be informing the authorities when he sees you disciplining your child?
What else constitutes suspicious activity? According to law enforcement and Homeland Security guidelines, suspicious behavior includes owning guns, being politically active, and having bumper stickers on your car.
The WeTip organization also offers a training institute for schools, businesses and government employees, presumably providing skills courses on how to become an expert domestic spy, just like in Communist East Germany.
WeTip also claims in its promotional material that it has been endorsed by both Bush presidents, as well as Bill Clinton and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Deliciously ironic therefore it is that Arnie starred in the 1987 movie The Running Man, a futuristic portrayal of a wacky dictatorship where citizens are reminded by huge TV screens placed on street corners that they can “earn a double bonus for reporting on a family member!”
As America sinks into a military police state, it begins to parallel more and more aspects of Nazi Germany, especially in the context of citizens being turned against each other, which in turn creates a climate of fear and the constraining sense that one is always being watched.
One common misconception about Nazi Germany was that the police state was solely a creation of the authorities and that the citizens were merely victims. On the contrary, Gestapo files show that 80% of all Gestapo investigations were started in response to information provided by denunciations by “ordinary” Germans.
“There were relatively few secret police, and most were just processing the information coming in. I had found a shocking fact. It wasn’t the secret police who were doing this wide-scale surveillance and hiding on every street corner. It was the ordinary German people who were informing on their neighbors,” wrote Robert Gellately of Florida State University.
Gellately discovered that the people who informed on their neighbors were motivated primarily by banal factors – “greed, jealousy, and petty differences,” and not by a genuine concern about crime or insecurity.
Gellately “found cases of partners in business turning in associates to gain full ownership; jealous boyfriends informing on rival suitors; neighbors betraying entire families who chronically left shared bathrooms unclean or who occupied desirable apartments.”
“And then there were those who informed because for the first time in their lives someone in authority would listen to them and value what they said.”
Gellately emphasizes the fact that the Germans who sicked the authorities on their neighbors knew very well what the consequences for the victims would be – families torn apart, torture and internment in concentration camps, and ultimately in many cases death – but they still did it with few qualms because the rewards of financial bounties and mere convenience were deemed more important to them.

As we have covered before, the WeTip program is by no means the only initiative that is training Americans to become amateur domestic spies.
One of the largest cable TV companies in the United States, Bright House, is training its employees to look for suspicious behavior and report it to police under the guise of a neighborhood watch initiative called Operation Bright Eyes.
The legacy of training Americans to spy on each other in the name of “safety” has its origins in Operation TIPS, which was supposedly nixed by Congress, a DOJ, FBI, DHS and FEMA coordinated program that would have recruited one in twenty-four Americans as domestic informants, a higher percentage than was used by the Stasi in Communist East Germany.
Government funding was cut after an outcry but private funding continues and the same program was introduced under a number of sub-divisions including AmeriCorps, SecureCorps and the Highway Watch program.
In July last year we reported on how hundreds of police, firefighters, paramedics and utility workers have been trained and recently dispatched as “Terrorism Liaison Officers” in Colorado, Arizona and California to watch for “suspicious activity” which is later fed into a secret government database.
Also last year, a New York Times feature article heartily celebrated the fact that an increasing number of Americans are becoming informants and turning in their neighbors and family members to the authorities in return for cash rewards. In a piece about a new program run by Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, citing gas prices, foreclosure rates and runaway food price inflation, The Times lauds the fact that citizens are reporting on each other, ensuring “a substantial increase in Crime Stopper-related arrests and recovered property, as callers turn in neighbors, grandchildren or former boyfriends in exchange for a little cash.”
As the Recession Ready America blog points out in relation to the WeTip program and its offer of $1,000 for turning people in, in an environment of recession and unemployment, the temptation to inform on people for minor indiscretions would be too tempting for many to resist, creating a gargantuan backlog of petty offences reported by people with no criminal detective skills whatsoever, leading to harassment of innocent people and ensuring that more real crimes go unsolved.

The local cops responded to my 2:00 AM call (after my security alarms woke me) with the advice that my neighborhood was just not as safe as people believe. Its more disturbing to think about where I found this poster. Not in an inner city neighborhood. Not in a place with high crime. It was located in a middle-class neighborhood. No crime, lots of kids that ride bikes around the block.
Obviously they are targeting middle-class families with this program, instead of putting up the fliers in areas where it will do more good.

Excellent idea, Mr. Kadman. To add to your suggestion, perhaps we teach our kids when they are feeling naughty and want to make prank phone calls, they can do it without fear from parents provided they call these “f----off” organizations.
I think the best way would be to call with “believable scenarios” and then when details are asked for, say a “Mr. Bush of Crawford, TX.”, or Mr. Obama of D.C. is the offending party. It will waste more of their time.

Andy Martin from Chicago reported a news conference there on August 4, 2009 concerning the immediate release of the Kenya birth certificate to be probed by a grand jury. If it was a fraud, we need to find out who is doing this. Same thing for the Hawaiian certificate. Where did this story go Andy Martin?

What people need to realize that the objectives of this isn’t to create a “Climate of Fear”. It’s part of a concerted effort to “Break the Government”. It has been a well lined out plan for years that the only way for the Facists to take-over would be to break the Federal Government. This is the tactic for both the left and the right which is why we see an ever expanding Federal body no matter who is in power.
The Plan goes something like this (Problem, Reaction, Solution):
Problem: We don’t have enough
Reaction: We need a Federal Agency to oversee to make sure that I get my Free Handout
Solution: Elect a politician who says he’ll give me my free stuff
(Rinse and repeat)
This will continue until such a point as the Federal Government is no longer to meet ANY of it’s “obligations”. Health Care, Police, Sanitation etc etc. (Note: The FEDERAL government should not be involved in any of this… but hey!)

I see instances where these things are happening more and more frequently, let me give you an example or two; within the last week I videotaped one of my neighbors getting two of his car towed away for being parked the wrong direction on the street costing him $400 to get the extortionists to return them and the guy next door was almost arrested for talking to one of his neighbors about the illegals taking over the country and his neighbor to his rear (who is Mexican) called the cops and they told him he had no rights talking like that in public in which he informed them they could go to hell where they quickly held him and threatened to take him to jail, My neighbor is 89 years old.

Hi to everyone
I’m a guy from central europe and I will tell you, how the situation evolved after the WW2 when the Comunism started in my country in late 40’s. My family was persecuted by the Comunists from the beginning and you should listen carefully to what i’m going to tell you to understand the gravity of your own situation, how we lost our freedom a what you can learn from it. I’m not english speaking person, so excuse my grammar please.
So the WW2 was over and Comunist party came to power using the same kind of propaganda you have in US right now – “we the party”/”we the obama” are saviors for the poor. But their propaganda was in reality this: “first, give us everything you have and then we will rule for your greater good”.
So there was this thing called collectivization = the giving everything part. If you had any farmland, cows, horses you owned, you were expected to give it to the state owned collective farm and then (unrelated to your contribution) you would get a “fair share” from the production. It’s like if you were expected to give all your clothing to some collective closet and then somebody would give you from it your “fair share” and this somebody would also chose the “right” color for you.
So, my grandfather didn’t want to give his farmland, livestock and horses to the collective farm. Who in his right mind would give something he owned in exchange for some propaganda “you’ll get your fair share” bulls---? He wasn’t the only one, but he was well-known/prominent, so for the party propaganda, he was “setting a bad example”. The local party members were angry. So they were angry, so what, you say.
They were not only angry, they wanted to hurt him. So they made up a case, judge him and sentenced him for 9 months in jail. For what? For a bag of grass he scythed for rabbits to eat. He scythed it on his family farm land (not explicitly his own), so they claimed he was a thief. That’s not normal if somebody is sent to jail for 9 months for a bag of grass. And the grass was from a farmland his family used for a many years.
It’s like if you want a coffee but you dont have a cup right now so you use your colleague’s cup only for the coffee time. Is this a theft? And you should take in consideration, that it is grass, it GROWS BACK. And you guessed it right, it wasn’t all. The party seized all my grandfathers farmland, all livestock and all horses. The man in the house, the breadwinner was in jail, there was no land, no cows for milk, no horses for sell, nothing, only his wife and their SEVEN children starving. I’m not s---ting you, that’s the way it was.
After 9 months my grandfather walked out of jail and guess what, there was no job for him. The party didnt allowed anyone to employ him. Can you imagine this situation? Everything was taken from you, but you have seven children to feed and there is no job = no money for you? So his and his family struggle was going on, his sons scholarships were canceled and younger children were not allowed to study.
But that was not everything and I’m comming to the core of the thing and THE CONNECTION TO THIS ARTICLE. After my grandfather was released from prison the real NEIGHBOURS SPYING begann. Every other night they heard that somebody was behind the windows in the dark, spying on them, listening to everything they said. The party propaganda machine created spyies from ordinary people, like in this article. This was a very bad situation and they had to control everything they said for the next 40 years. It’s not very hard for grown ups, but you never know about your children. In good faith they answer to some stranger about your family thoughts about the regime and in doing this, they could send theirs father or mother to jail or Siberia.
I don’t know if you ever heared about Siberia and Comunism. That was a place where the party sended dissidents and “state adversaries” to concentration and forced labour camps. So if you read here on this site about the UK and their neighbour camera surveillance and the type of surveillance in this article and you think it can never happen, I’m telling you, it already happened. In times like this, it’s very unwise having open enemies and blindly trusting anybody with your thoughs and ideas.
And the Youth Brigades or how it is called obama is now creating in US. It was the same here. The propaganda must form the youth in the first place and the children are very receptive and then you set them against their parents and family. Everything for the state, for the leader.
And some thought for the advocates of this new “for the poor/hate the rich” regime of Obama. You are used in the battle against your own freedom. When the system/party suppresses the freedom loving = not rich hating people, you would be the next target. Idealists of the “for the poor/hate the rich/fair share” regime will be terminated in the second round (sent to Siberia) and the rest will be too scared and will do anything to be invisible = average.
As conclusion I would say, use your brain. You’ve got it, so use it. Be brave to take some action NOW. It’s better to die as a free man, than live 100 years in oppresion as a slave of the state.

Now i understand that in some cases you have to call the police. For instance, when i was driving home from work and nearly got sideswiped by a drunk driver. That dude needed to be pulled over. 911 called me back and asked me to go to where they had him pulled over to do a statement and they said, “man this guy was hammered”. They thanked me for the call and then promptly ran me for wants and warrants, lol. Guess i asked for that one. I am not a fan of cops either, but that guy needed to be taken off the road.

Jim. I completely apologize. Its been a long day at the lab. It might have to do with the weather. They can develop gray matter for some reason when the earths polar bears drown to death because the ice has melted and no longer supports the environment that is needed for them to survive in. Not sure still working on it. Also. Im not sure if its the cheeseburger or the fries but I think Ive had enough cholestrol filled goodness for one day. Satan, canopies (the parachute) can be just shoved into the bag. They want to open. Takes about 3-10 minutes to pack one once you learn how. The lines are folded along and rubber-banded to the deployment bag (d-bag) so they don’t become entangled. I’ve had 4 malfunctions, but I also jumped some pretty sketchy gear as well. Old test canopies from the 90s aren’t recommended for your average skydiver. Overall, the sport is extremely safe.

I JUST called the hotline and asked them, politely, what the “weapons” part meant? The girl told me that I could report “Anything”, “Any illegal behavior”! I asked her how owning a gun was illegal? Trust me when I say that snitching is one of the worst crimes a person can commit against another person. I believe you my friend. I have known of the elitist plans since I was a kid..I’m 50 now. My dad would tell me about it, but I never gave it much thought until my son showed me some things about 9/11 and then the info was at my fingertips and it substantiated the things I had learned from my father. The U.S.A. is not a free country, I kew something was wrong when my 60 year old mother was carded for buying a bottle of champagne 15 years ago , which she enjoys after work, I have lived in Costa Rica, Taiwan, Japan and Indonesia a Muslim country in all those countries, I was NEVER asked for I.D. and could drink a beer on the street or on public transportation.. Including Indonesia….
