NC undercover officers use Taser on pallbearer

Five sheriff’s deputies will be disciplined after they used a Taser while serving an arrest warrant on a man at his father’s funeral, a North Carolina sheriff said Wednesday.
Gladwyn Taft Russ III was serving as a pallbearer at the Saturday service and was loading his father’s casket into a hearse when the undercover deputies approached him.
Relatives said two deputies dressed in coats and ties grabbed Russ and kneed him in his back before using a Taser on him. One deputy’s gun fell out of its holster.
“Everybody was so scared. We thought it was a drug deal gone bad,” said Ronnie Simmons, another pallbearer and Russ’ brother-in-law. “We almost dropped the casket.”
New Hanover County Sheriff Sid Causey told The Star-News of Wilmington that five of the officers involved would be disciplined, although he wouldn’t say what punishment they would face.

A couple of weeks of “paid administrative leave” followed by a pat on the back for a job well done. The Great Unwashed are a little bit more afraid. Congratulations men!
Had they dropped the casket and the body rolled out, they probably would have tasered it as well.

The officers will be disciplined? Please, spare me.
Tasers aren’t supposed to kill but they do. Therefore they are defective products and should be removed from the market before they kill another person.
Finally this is a low blow. Couldn’t they have waited until the funeral was over? Couldn’t they have an ounce of common decency! I think this guy should get off just for that!

Disgusting, kneeing and tasering someone in the back, while they’re carrying their father’s casket. Total disrespect, and if that was my kin there would be badly beaten undercovers with those tasers jammed up their ass sideways. Hint: We drink Wild Turkey at family funerals, DON’T FUCK WITH A WILLIAMS WHEN HE”S ON THE TURKEY.

I thought tazers were supposed to a non lethal alternative to deadly force? So that begs the question: What would these officers had done if they did not have a tazer available? At least with the information provided, I can see no way this man was a threat to FIVE sheriff’s.

The article stated he had agreed to surrender after the funeral.
This is truly disgusting and it would seem the entire family has
a strong case for suit, but little, if anything, will likely come of it.
At least they didn’t shoot him 50 or more times and claim self defense.

Bob was driving home after spending a great day on the lake fishing. His catch, cleaned and filleted, was wrapped in newspaper on the passenger side floor. He was late getting home, so he was speeding just a little bit. As he was crossing a bridge, a cop jumped out, radar gun in hand, and motioned Bob to the side of the bridge.
Bob pulled over like a good citizen.
The cop walked up to Bob’s car and said “You know how fast you were goin’, boy?”
Bob thought for a second and said “Uh, 60?”
“67 MPH, BOY!! 67 MPH in a 55 zone!!!” said the cop.
“If you already knew, why’d you ask me?”, Bob snarled back.
Fuming over Bob’s answer, the officer growled, “That’s speeding, and you’re getting a ticket and a fine!” The cop took a good close look at Bob in his stained fishing attire, and said, “You don’t even look like you have a job!! Why, I’ve never seen anyone so scruffy in my entire life!”
Bob answered, “Hey, I’ve got a job . . . a good job!”
The cop leaned in the window, sniffing the foul air, and said, “What kind of a job would a smelly bum like you have?”
“I’m a rectum stretcher!” Bob replied.
“What the hell does a rectum stretcher do, Boy?” asked the cop.
Bob explained, “When someone needs to be stretched, I’m the one who does it. I start with a couple fingers, then a couple more, and then one hand, then both hands. Then I slowly pull them farther and farther apart until the rectum is a full six feet across.”
The cop, absorbed with this bizarre image, asked, “What the hell do you do with a six foot asshole?”
Bob replied, “I guess you give it a radar gun and stick it on the end of a bridge!”

The police state is dying.
Utterly disgusting acts such as this only help to drive the knife deeper into the heart of the police state system as we know it.

saw this story on bikernews(google) its for bikers but they also have a section for nwo as well as cops gone bad.there is story there regarding a case in delaware.they tasered a guy 3 times and then shot him dead.—-there is a small part of me that would like to become a cop but i never will because it seems to me about 80% have some type of mental disorder.that and also the enforcement of laws that shouldnt be.actually why anyone becomes a cop is beyond me.i have more respect for true outlaw biker gangs than i ever will for the police.i seriously dont understand how none of he cops involved didnt realize on a simple human level that “its not cool”.pigs have no respect for anyone not even someone at a funeral.why would any thinking person try to arrest someone at their dads funeral.how can i ever respect a cop like that??? fuckin worthless pigs.

That is why you should become a cop. I think the best cops are the ones who want to make a better place for their children. (of course honest cops are the ones to be driven out, but why give up?)

I will take a different line.
Number One, BEFORE anyone may become a police officer they need to pass a test on the United States Constitution.
Second, they need to be educated about the difference between right and wrong.
Third, they need to think before they act.
Fourth, see number one.

Is it possible to convince AJ to be quiet and let his GUESTS and Callers speak without CONSTANTLY interrupting them.? I know him and he does a good job but he does not know everything and other PATRIOTS besides himself have VOLUMES of info and PERSPECTIVE on this fight! BTW I don’t need you worshipers of A.J. to come to his defense or talk a bunch of sh?T. He uses foul language like crazy and then chastises his callers and bans them from the show until another day, WTF is that about?
