New TASER Weapons Produced For Crowd Control
Stun gun manufacturer rolls out devices that promise to “drop everyone in a given area to the ground”

Everyone’s favourite stun gun manufacturer Taser has unveiled it’s latest loving piece of “non lethal” technology, The Taser Shockwave.
The new weapon is significantly different to the Tasers currently used by police in that it has six different electrified charges and is designed to target crowds rather than individuals.
The cartridges are tethered by 25-foot wires, which can be fired from a distance of up to 100 meters in a 20-degree arc. The “probes” on the end of the cartridges can pierce through clothing and skin, emitting 50,000 volts of electricity in the process.
“Full area coverage is provided to instantaneously incapacitate multiple personnel within that region” Taser explains.
“Multiple Shockwave units can be stacked together (like building blocks) either horizontally or vertically in order to extend area coverage or vertically to allow for multiple salvo engagements.” The product description states.
The weapons can also be vehicle mounted or “daisy chained” according to Taser. Clearly it is anticipated that these things will be used on sizable crowds, meaning an increased likelihood of indiscriminate targeting.

The Shockwave isn’t the only new development on Taser’s books either. The Extended-Range Electronic Projectile (XREP) is touted as the first electric shock weapon that can be fired from a normal gun, in this case a 12-gauge shotgun. It delivers a 20-second shock, compared with the default setting five-second shock of a traditional taser X26.
“To maximize incapacitation, the XREP engine incorporates a microprocessor controlled optimal electrode selection technology. Twenty times per second, the XREP engine checks for the optimal electrode connection to maximize the contact spread and achieve greatest incapacitation.” Taser states.

Both the Taser Shockwave and the XREP are scheduled to go into full production by the end of this year.
Taser has been the subject of much controversy and outrage. One year ago the UN’s Committee Against Torture issued a statement on the TaserX26, which read: “The use of TaserX26 weapons, provoking extreme pain, constituted a form of torture, and that in certain cases it could also cause death, as shown by several reliable studies and by certain cases that had happened after practical use.”
We still await more loving developments from Taser including the much anticipated Taser saucer.

The Shockwave is one of the most ignorant ideas I have ever seen. I have been trained and certified in the operation of the Taser, and safety is of the utmost importance in its use. Firstly the Taser has to be properly aimed, and with this claymore approach it simply isn’t possible to aim it correctly. In our class we saw images of improper aiming of the Taser unit which resulted in probes being deployed into peoples eyes and neck, both of which are unacceptable. Secondly a circuit has to be completed between the two probes. It doesn’t matter if the contact is made by both probes being deployed successfully, or one probe being successful and the circuit being completed by physically placing the end of the Taser unit against the individual in a drive stun. The end result is this is a poorly thought out piece of equipment, and despite who it will be used against in the future, it will be wrong to do so.

I would have to agree with Gary. If the manufacturer is put out of business by destroying the facilities and if you can get the Product Safety Commission to issue a recall for the product, you’ve made a start.

What a nice toy they have, although the military has already researched and are considering production of a miniHAARP that is installed on an LAV or APV. It’s effects (if they even realize there is a LOW setting) is an instant burn which feels like you are standing 1 foot from a red hot incinerator. I saw a special on in on the Discovery Channel on Modern Marvels (I think). At 100 yards, and set on low, the guinea pigs could tolerate it for maybe 2 or 3 seconds before it becams excruciating.

If you ever see a vehicle with a bunch of large radio wave transmitters on it, burn it to the ground, or comandeer it. Otherwise you will be their next microwave dinner. If you look at their website it states:
“With the push of a button at a stand-off distance of up to 100 meter, the Shockwave unit deploys multiple standard TASER cartridges…”
So what the article is trying to state is that a person can stand 100 meters (328.08 feet) away from the device to fire the 25-foot wires towards the enemy.

omg! first thing i thought of the 12 guage round is what if the officer thinks he used a tazer round! when he accidentally used a real 12 gauge round and kills the person. I think this is VERY VERY VERY dangerous. Because in serious situations sometimes you cant ‘think’ properly on whether which color round you are using etc etc. You are going to see the accidental deaths from this mistakes rise up dramatically.
Another thing is, wow! that first tazer weapon is powerful to knock down crowds. I think all americans should buy one of these and bring it to protests for their right to protect themselves against “threats”.

The manufacturers of these non-lethal incapacitation devices that end up killing someone should be sued out of existence by their victims because these products are defective.
Are they willing to stand up to claim of “non-lethal” in a U.S. courtroom? I doubt it.
Whatever happened to billy-clubs? Or for big crowd dispersal they can use water cannons or tear gas which I think are hardly ever lethal. There are probably other ways.

How ironic that everyone complains when the police get a new tool to use to protect themselves while they are trying to protect the public. “it is an outrage” when the police have to use force on someone who tries to kill them. Until you are the victim being beaten and raped, then you mad at the cops because they didn’t use enough force fast enough.
And for your information, Robert, try some research before you spout off about things you don’t know. Taser International will, and have, defended their years of research in US and International courts on the reliability of their Less-Lethal electronic devices. Their doctors and researchers have testified in every and any criminla or civil case involving the use of a Taser. They will send an expert to any court in the world where their tool has been used.
Before criticizing how the police do their job, try walkin in their shoes to see what they actually deal with.

this is a major turning point in stun gun technology, as there is no longer any selection of targets by cops, engendering a mindset that allows for an area of people to be considered dangerous rather than any particular person. given the indescriminate use of nets by cops in past demonstrations, often snaring innocent bystanders and peaceful protestors, this is definitely not a technology that police should be trusted with, and is by its very nature more anti-revolutionary or anti-activist than anti-crime, which is something we should all be worried about.

It doesn`t matter in the slightest that this stuff gets developed. It is merely normal flow of technical development. The only problem to worry about is: who will be doing the shooting, at whom will they be shooting.
a) You, the unruly slave.
b) Them, the work-shy criminals that rob & steal their way through life.
If you allow for profit finance and a broken law system, have empire size countries (or worse) instead of the more manageable kingdom size (check middle ages, France was a kingdom, Rome was an empire for instance), don`t install democracy and fight for peace and justice, then you are probably ending up with a). Then you`ll be worried with these weapons because they might target you, but the truth is you failed somewhere else already.
If you install non-profit finance, seek truth & fight for justice, have a less large therefore more democractic nation, ideally also distribute the soil and perhaps even democratize companies after starter leaves (high end democratic society), then you will probably end up under b). You would be quite happy to see that the criminals could be shot quicker and still make it alive to trial. Your policemen would be nice and charitable individuals, which is actually how I know them from Holland.
So fix what`s really broken: your economy, your nation size, your “democracy” ! Is that difficult: yes ! Can it be done, sure.
The only question that matter is: who will control the technology, that is the game on the planet. Will it be us the working people, or will it be them the criminals. That there will be giant leaps in technology is a predictable given.

the way to defeat the taser is to manufacture clothing with fine wire or carbon fibre mesh between the outer fabric and the lining. when the taser prongs hit the victim the electricity will take the path of least resistance, which is through the wire mesh, effectively shorting out the taser. the victim may feel a slight tingling but nothing like the massive electric shock it normally delivers.

This has to be one of the most EVIL corporations in this country and unfortunately, true evil is NEVER confronted head on in this country. Good men get taken down when they step up to the plate. Tasers constitute abuse of power and torture. Cops in this country, since the Patriot Act have become evermore abusive and violent toward citizens. That act stripped the bill of rights of all of it’s substance and gave the police more enforcement power to circumvent the constitution. They had been trying to get that kind of bullshit legislation passed for decades with little success. Since 9-11 they have used and abused public fear to cicumvent almost the entire bill of rights and get they’re power, this is absolute tyranny and as citizens it is not only our right to stomp out this tyranny, it is our responsibility to abolish it and crush it out of existence. It is clear more than ever that mainstream political figures and corporate entities no longer honor, respect, or work for “WE THE PEOPLE”. They are now doing the bidding of the globalist bankers, military industrial complex, and government contracted corporations. The rest of us are disposeable trash as far as these monsters are concerned. Unfortunately, we live in a country now which is ruled by fear not the rule of constitutional law and most people are not only afraid because of the hystieria created by the media that a fundamentalist terrorist is going to blow them up. But they are also just as afraid of the police and the power of government to crush they’re lives, and this form of terror is real and has everyone under a thumb 24-7, this is definately alot more dangerous to our liberty and freewill than some broke fundamentalist muslem terrorist living in a cave or a shack in the middle east. They don’t want our liberty, the police and government do, it is essential if they are to achieve they’re NEW WORLD ORDER. LIBERTY MUST BE CRUSHED AND ALL DISSENTERS WIPED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH if they are to achieve they’re end goals.

I love the fact that I am a Christian. When the day comes and Jesus rules us with Love I won’t have to see people suffering and other being torture because of their beliefs. Yes, maybe the man was egging on the police but do you see the Devil has pinned the The Children of the Living Father agianst eachother. These videos are tough to watch.
