The New York Times and New York Press attempt to attack and ridicule Alex Jones and the other ‘ranting conspiracy theorists’ in Luke Meyer and Andrew Neel’s latest doc, New World Order. The papers are, thus, reluctant to embrace the largely objective film itself, perhaps because the “unrelentingly tedious” doc refuses to attack its subjects.
Opens on Friday in Manhattan at the Cinema Village, 22 East 12th Street, Greenwich Village

Few things are as tiresome as listening to people rant about their conspiracy theories. While there are, no doubt, tantalizing speculations to be made about the “inside job” that demolished the World Trade Center and the nefarious agenda of the global elite, movies about such things do well to involve James Bond and giant explosions.
“New World Order,” an unrelentingly tedious documentary by Luke Meyer and Andrew Neel, follows a group of considerably less glamorous truth-seekers. The most prominent of the filmmakers’ subjects, the radio host Alex Jones, who is based in Austin, Tex., rails against the powers that be — all of them — in a manner that reinforces every cliche of the conspiracy theorist loon: paranoid, megalomaniacal, delusional, sweaty.
The documentary’s most action-packed scene finds Mr. Jones throwing a major hissy fit when his hotel fire alarm goes off, thereby proving, without a shadow of a doubt, that “they” are trying to suppress his revelations.

On the (somewhat) mellower side, Luke Rudowski, a 21-year-old New Yorker, spends all his free time distributing fliers and DVDs purporting to uncover the truth about 9/11. Seth Jackson, a relief worker in Louisiana, does his part by heckling Bill Clinton and other dark overlords. A retired police officer, Jack McLamb, meanwhile, has retreated to the safety of a separatist militia group.
There’s a movie to be made about the psychology of such men, their personal lives and private obsessions. “New World Order” merely gawks at them.

Up-and-coming filmmaking duo Luke Meyer and Andrew Neel’s latest doc, New World Order, admirably humanizes the “9/11 truthers,” a seemingly impossible task they accomplish handily by never condescending to or patronizing their less-than-credible subjects. Led by filmmaker/radio personality Alex Jones, the group’s most vocal mouthpiece, the “truthers” insist that the collapse of the Twin Towers on 9/11 was an inside job orchestrated by The Bilderberg Group, a shadowy international organization comprised of foreign and domestic businessmen and politicians. Meyer and Neel let a few of them tell their stories with a minimum of editorializing, arguably only inflating beyond its natural scope the fears and unshakable anger that fuels them: They exaggerate only where necessary and only what the “truthers” willingly put on display.
The most potent message New World Order conveys is its refusal to flinch in the face of what many would call fanaticism, training a focused, steady eye on their subjects without hastily making a satisfying knee-jerk judgment. Through the tears, constant rallying, paranoiac rants and hypocritical disclaimers of their subjects, Meyer and Neel remind us that these conspiracy theorists are not to be pitied but rather understood as people doing what they earnestly believe is their civic duty. They’re rabid and frankly more than a little nuts. For example, in the impending apocalypse, red and blue dots on mail apparently determine whether you get taken to a FEMA camp or get shot on sight by stormtroopers–but they’re also a determined and militantly organized group that dares you to ignore them.

These NYC based articles could be pre-emptive strikes against the credibility of New Yorkers seeking a new 9/11 investigation this fall via ballot initiative and an attempt to sabotage the effort as signature collection efforts are currently underway.

Propaganda is a complex undertaking where lies targeted to all demographics are needed. In the case of 911 truth, the disinformation side of the coin is most interesting.
If you lived in a small town and you owned all of the established media and they told all the lies you wanted, it might still not be enough. The corporate media in the US is completely bought and paid for, but it is not enough. The truth is getting through and people are talking about it. So staying in the small town, what would you do if the truth was still getting through your wall of private media?
Hire the most disgusting town drunk loser to talk about the truth, every day. Hire the town drunk to repeat the real truth………..so everyone will recoil and associate it with the loser.
I have come to realize that the Alex Jones phenomena is that very same town drunk.
Yes he does speak the truth, but he is a repulsive bible thumping gun nut who sounds like a kook. And yes he speaks the truth………but he is repulsive to most people, so he serves the corporate agenda perfectly. And he knows this.

Personally, I enjoy AJ’s style of presentation. When he’s doing his sarcasm shtick, I know and understand what’s going on since that’s my cultural background as well. I find non-southern style of sarcasm rather bland and flavorless.
The southern-style of sarcasm seems to make non-southerners nervous because they don’t really understand and think you’ve flipped your lid and you might become dangerous at any moment. While a southerner will know you’re being a snarky smartass expressing your anger and disgust in an emphatic way.
In a recent AJS broadcast, he was mulling over whether he should be less satirical. I say don’t be less. Express your southern heritage. It’s what makes you strong. And if others don’t understand, well, screw ‘em if they can’t take a joke.

Its funny that all they can do is call us names and claim that we are all paranoid, and a little nuts. Of coarse they won’t put ANY information out there about the truth. Yet, when us “paranoid, nutty conspiracy theorists” make any stories or make any claims, we back them up with proof in government documents, reported news, personal accounts, congressional testimony, etc. These people are ignorant and stupid. All you have to do is a little homework, and you will realize that we are not as crazy as they would like to think we are. The proof is out there, all you have to do is dig, right below the surface and you will find all sorts of things. I think mainly they are getting scared of us. The people are waking up to the ammount of BS being sold to them on the TV.
Just remember, the news loves to tell you “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!”

Well of course. All they can do is call names. They can’t let this turn into an intelligent conversation because not only would it point to the truth (which is apparently the conspiracy theories) but it would also rip their journalistic guise by which they use to camoflage their own ignorance.
I am a conspiracy theorist for the good reason that the conspiracy theory of powerful individuals working for 1-world government is the obvious truth. I would like Abrams and Lee to offer an explanation of why Bilderberg gets nearly no media coverage or how Building 7 fell into dust, especially without being hit by anything. Instead, “journalists” like Lee and Abrams snivel with their noses in the air and offer perfunctatory, superficial one-line claimers about us being nuts instead of making any kind of well-developed points. So, ironically in trying to discredit the liberty movement, their inability to write an intelligent piece that discredits the liberty movement only gives exposure to the idea that they themselves are uninformed and uneducated.
Their audience deserves more than haughty arrogance. An honest, well-investigated piece on either of these 2 topics is clearly preferable to the self-appointed importance reflected in the tone of their drivel, amateur-level work they pass for journalism for those interested in the truth.

Any publicity is good for this cause. If the truthers are fanatics perhaps there is a reason to investigate for those who did not research the evidence already. When you research the tons of evidence there is no denying the facts. The media can twist and insult but the facts are out there now thanks to people like Alex. People seem to blame the messenger at first but some will want to know more bad publicity or not. Kudos Alex and crew perhaps someday when we make it through this you will get a Pulitzer and the uncredible journalists trying to cover up the facts will get fired or jailed. Perhaps we would be more widely believed if we weren’t making statements (like the one of the dot on mail) without tangable proof.
We know FEMA camps are real due to Fed documents, etc; but ones like the popular one in Indiana is fabricated as I’ve investigated it myself. I also investigated the so called FEMA coffins which are nothing but cheep vaults which are stored and shipped at the very location that make them. Could they be used in a mass death situation? Yes, but what is being said is they ARE FEMA coffins; with no proof whatsoever that FEMA has any relationship with the coffins or the makers.
I believe (from my own research) that most of the claims being made are true, but it only takes one off the cuff claim without proof or one hard nose claim not to materialize to discredit all other claims and making us nothing but “theorist”

NY Times is such a wreck of a rag. Whenever someone calls me out for my rants on what a crap-trash waste of paper it is I just say “Judith Miller” and that usually shuts them down. As far as the New York Press goes. . . .that’s just a pretend newspaper that is actually a prositution sheet. Having these pretend journalist come down on 9-11ers only makes it more clear on where the truth lies.

The articles are spot-on and I think truthers are beginning to get a feel for how the majority of the thinking world considers them. I think truthers know they will be put down by the rest of society if they start their little treasonous “revolt.” I think that’s why they languish on message boards after almost 8 years.

The “thinking world,” as you call them, are actually starting to do some thinking now that they are losing their jobs and the mainstream media outlets (including the NY Times) lose their credibility. No one expected a revolution in 2001; that would have been premature. In the course of history, 8 years is nothing… What if it takes 20 years? No big deal. If something is coming it is inevitable, and all the little Feds on all the little message boards won’t be able to do anything to stop it.

My actual thoughts are that these articles are a victory for we “tin-foil” people. The mere fact that we now have articles in two NY papers show the growing threat to the mainstream media that Alex and his kind have become to their hegemony on information. Also, I did enjoy the one paragraph in which the reporter seemed surprised that we had a good command of the english language, insinuating we are at least educated and intelligent. Also, in the same paragraph (I believe, it may have merely been in the same area of hte article, it was too crappy overall to read again) the reporter noted that reporters like Alex are sorely needed today. So, overall I do like these articles, even though for completely different reasons. Obviously, my comments must strike a chord in the idiot opposition. By the way Steve, my avatar is a photo of me landing a parachute. Just quit the sport (gets boring after a while) and have over 500 skydives. 50 military jumps. I think I managed via an email set of questions I sent to George Strombolopolus on the CBC program “The Hour” to pose the question to Frank McKenna (Vice Chair TD Bank) of what his role was in the Bilderberg meeting in Greece last week, why these meetings are held in such secrecy, etc.
Franks answer was basically “we discussed beforehand that this meeting was to be out of bounds for the interview…but he went on to say it was a meeting to discuss world events in a venue away from prying eyes….ala no conspiracy there and brushed it off.”
One has to wonder as to their real intentions…ie: good deeds are done in the light of day…

Personally i think the bilderbergs are pretty low compared to the real people who must run things. They are the servents of the priests, and i doubt we will ever know who those people really are.
We know the bankers are above the bilderbergs and the priests are above the bankers, so that means the chain of command is quite low for the bilderbergs. I am sure the bilderbergs are important but i doubt they are any where near the top, lol.
The people at the top, i.e the priests will never show who they are, thats why we have the people at the bilderbergs and lower than them people in governments.

The mainstream media are a pack of know it all fuckwits. In Ireland I was listening to Newstalk 106 (Sensationalist Shite radio station). Anyway one morning the hosts were talking about the singer Robbie Williams and it was mentioned that Robbie was buying a house as it was said to be haunted and situated on ley lines. Ger Gilroy (Knob extrordinaire) said of Robbie williams interest in the paranormal “Poor Guy” as if he’s insane for being into this or something….My point is the MSM think that people who think outside the box are nuts, crack pots, loons etc….and that instead of wasting our time on legends, folklore, and fairy tales we should actually spend more time listening to dick heads like them who are seriously ‘Focused and in the zone’ big time’ as they really know what they’re talking about. Mankind will never awake to it’s full potential if they likes of these wankers control the airwaves. It’s very easy to be in the comfort zone where you are afraid to be different and are terrified of someone slagging you over your views. A lot of people I know are like this. They never come up with or say anything controversial as it’s going against the pack and they’ll be ridiculed. I see a lot of MSM journalists fall into this cowardly category.

At-home television broadcasting station are now affordable and feasible; a company in Berkely sells them. My guess is this is one reason that the U.S. is insisting that all TVs go digital. Would be a major disaster if one truther and every city set up his own TV station and broadcast Alex Jones videos 24-7, interspersed with music videos like “9-11’s A Lie,” “The Ron Paul Revolution”, and “Traitor (Dare Call It Treason).” Then the establishment’s hypnosis tool would be turned against them…

I thought the movie was pretty good – showed the Human side of the frustrating fight of the few Patriots against the near endless resources of the Kleptocracy currently in Power.
I thought Seth Jackson really showed the Heart of the Truth Movement – a benevolent urge to give back to the community and fight for those who are exploited and manipulated.
Jack McLamb – while good meaning – is unfortunately the epitome of the Tin Foil Hat Survivalist – whose grasp on reality has clearly been lost somewhere along the way…
The Director did a good job displaying a fair and balanced look at several of the personalities (including AJ) on the film – but the film itself really did not dig nearly as deep as “Why We Fight” or any Truth Activist Documentaries into what has really gone wrong with our systems of governence.
The New York Press – as usual – has had to resort to character assassination instead of meanigful debate or dialog on these controvertial subjects.
I’d recommend this for some light viewing for those here with understanding…

I like this line:

So while he admits that the speculations hold water by calling them “tantalizing”, he doesn’t think that they should be addressed at all by saying they belong in fictional movies. Or he’s saying that by fictionalizing and dramatizing factual situations, the mainstream media can obfuscate and thereby paint as illigitimate otherwise “true” accounts.
I have heard this argument made about the 90’s film “Stargate,” that it was created for the express purpose of discrediting the theory that the pyramids were built by an alien race or at least with alien technology.
Now, any time someone suggests that the pyramids were built by ET’s, any walf-wit disinfo agent can say, “You’re crazy, you saw that in a Hollywood movie.”

The only “paranoid, megalomaniacal, delusional” thing I see there is the author. It’s clear they’re making sweeping generalisations as to discredit the messenger and thus avoid focusing on the message. And using terms like ’sweaty’ – is this the level of journalism we’ve come to expect from American periodicals?
So, it’s claimed that Alex rallies against all forms of power, which is a blatant lie to anyone that has actually sat down and spent more than a few moments either reading his work or listening to his views on radio. Let me explain this to the arrogant author from the New York times, even IF they DO understand exactly what I’m saying..
Alex Jones is for the power of free speech, for the power to express an opinion without fear of persecution. For the power to defend oneself from savages, be they holding, a piece of legislation or a government contract. He’s for the power of a free press. He’s for giving power BACK to the family.
These fools know what they’re doing in writing articles of a such a crass, inaccurate nature against both Alex Jones and people who seek the truth – they’re showing just how desperate they are. If the author of that article really thinks the general public is going to fall for such idiocy then think again – if the author thinks the public won’t question their motives, think again.

What do you expect from a newspaper that are severe Liberals, and owned by the Elite. They are bought and paid for by the powers that be. That is why they are going bust, because people are waking up. They are not buying their paper, because people know they print bull-shit only. Smell the BOYCOTT!
Maybe when they go belly up, we the people, should contribute a little money. Buy them out, and print real news stories in America for a change. I miss real reporters. I miss the true honest reporting. That is what is missing in the newspapers in America. There are so few of them, they are the ones we should start buying, to support them. Show the bad ones the true path to America’s wallets, the truth in print.

what’s so ‘liberal’ about the NYT? Nothing! Calling these fascist mouthpieces ‘liberal’ only confuses the issue. ‘The Nation’ is liberal, the NYT is a Bizzarro World descendant of a once great metroplitan daily.

Personally I think people need to be responsible for themselves. To seek truths – you have to listen to both sides of the story and make your decisions based on what you find – isn’t that the prudent thing to do ? When I first started reading articles about this “conspiracy” .. I kinda rolled my eyes and shook my head. BUT now a few years later after I’ve done my own digging and truth seeking .. I will just say I don’t roll my eyes anymore nor do I shake my head. Deciding not to be anyone’s “sheep” anymore I refuse to follow anyone blindly.. I won’t accept what either side says as absolute truths – until I dig around myself and see what is found.

I used to trust without question when it came to matters such as Politics/ Government .. News .. thinking that these “Important” people had our (the normal people’s ) best interest at heart.. but

Actually, the term “sheeple” is kind of insulting to sheep because as critters go, sheep can be rather lovable and friendly. Yes, they’re a little stupid, but like any other species of mammal, they have their individual personalities and even a bit of a sense of humor.

Why are not more people being punched squarely in the face by the friends of theirs that are living in reality. Stupifying as to how many people DEVOUR the SHIT sandwiches being FED to them. Every effort should be made to publicly harass and ridicule sock-puppet newspapers. Everyone get creative on new ways to to laugh at and make fun of these toolbags at every turn, every single day, non-stop. Destroy their wills and methods and confidence without mercy. I want them feeling like the nerdy freshman in the middle of the varsity football team when there’s no coaches around every time they execute Operation Mockingbird or whatever the new spook-term is now.

The New York Times and publicans like them take the stand of the establishment because thats who they work for. Its not a question of giving the public true and factual news its about serving there masters. Did any major newspaper or major TV network with the exception of Lou Dobbs tell you about the North American Union. When 60 minutes reported on JR. Bushes national guard short career, which resulted in Dan Rather and his staff being fired for revealing to the public that bush was a deserter, CBS claimed the story was inaccurate and poorly researched resulting in the discharge of Rather and his crew. The truth was the story was to accurate and CBS was trying to get the heat off them. The media prostitutes tell the people what the government wants you to think.
