Nidal Hasan: Ft. Hood Shooter Participated in Homeland Security Disaster Preparation

The gunman who killed 12 people today at Ft. Hood appears, based on current media reports, to be Army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan who was listed as a participant in a Homeland Security Policy Institute’s presidential transition task force last year.
The task force was not officially affiliated with the White House. It was a project of the Homeland Security Policy Institute, an independent thinktank housed at George Washington University, aimed at drafting policy recommendations for the incoming Obama administration.
According to the task force’s May 2009 report [pdf], a “Nidal Hasan” from the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine was a task force event participant. Other participants included Senate and House staffers, Department of Homeland Security officials, Defense Department officials, and reporters for Politico, the Washington Post, and the London Times.
McClatchy reports that Maj. Malik Nidal Hasan attended “training in disaster and preventive psychiatry at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine, Bethesda, Md.,” and his Virginia medical board license lists his name as “Nidal Malik Hasan,” reversing the first two names of the identity reported so far and spelling “Nidal” differently than earlier reports did. (The New York Times is now reporting that his name is, in fact, Nidal Malik Hasan). So it seems likely that the “Nidal Hasan” affiliated with Uniformed Services University (USU) listed as a task force participant, the “Nidal Malik Hasan” listed by Virginia’s state medical board as practicing psychiatry at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and by reported by McLatchy as having studied at USU, and the “Malik Nadal Hasan” who practiced psychiatry at Walter Reed identified in various media reports as the shooter are all the same person. Or were the same person.
Hasan’s name is also listed in a July 2008 USU newsletter [pdf] as having graduated the Master of Public Health Program in June of last year.
And here’s what appears to be a medical paper, or submission to a medical database, written by him.
UPDATE (by Ryan): Law enforcement officials became aware of Hasan at least six months ago after “internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats,” according to AP.
ASSME found an online post from a “Nidal Hassan,” pictured below, reconciling suicide bombings with Islamic teachings against other types of suicide. It’s not at all clear yet whether this post came from the shooter Nidal Hassan or a different Nadal Hassan; even federal agents are “still trying to confirm that he was the author” of whatever posts they’re looking at, according to AP.

Anger is right. Vent it somewhere else. It’s easy for the Colonel to get his panties in a knot, but the fact remains that if we start charging off in different directions, here, because we have no collective front, these sociopathic miscreants in Washington are going to walk all over us. Rather than argue amongst ourselves, we should savoring what we DO have in common. So, while can appreciate Jesus, I also appreciate Mohammed, since the TRUE followers of either denomination abhor violence.

I just spoke with Hal Weatherman at Sue Myrick’s office. Here’s the deal: as of right now, the House members have been told they are to stay through Saturday. Nancy Pelosi is wanting the House to vote on HR 3962 THIS SATURDAY – AS IN, 48 HOURS FROM NOW. Two things that Hal told me that were particularly alarming:
- The members of Congress that are promoting this bill have timed it in such a way where they knew that physicians and nurses could not leave their practices/hospitals/clinics to get to DC in time to try to stop them.
This now makes me believe this “FORT HOOD” deal is a false flag to distract Americans from what is really going on!
And, on a small note, I personally think this is a ploy to go to war with Iran.

Its counter intuitive to believe that something like this is a false flag because emotions get the better of us. I think you have a salient point here though. Maybe what’s going to happen tomorrow has a lot more importance than we think at this time. The main thing that confounds me about this shooting is that THERE WERE OTHER SHOOTERS! However this is not being reported widely. Wasn’t it suspected that there may have been other shooters at Virginia Tech? This whole thing stinks.

Interesting take, PhoenixVoiceOfReason. I have an engineering background, pride myself in making at least a modest attempt at cross checking sources so as not to keep reading the same duplicate drivel, and yet while Alex may sometimes get a little over the top in his fervor to present these points to us, EVERY one of the sources he has referred us to, the one’s that I have been able to verify, has been valid. Those Executive Orders he has been citing; try reading them for a change. They’re on the US government’s own websites.
The very fact that those in power KNOW of the discussions going on across the country about this material, and have done nothing to quell any of the population’s misconceptions about it, might signal even a simple dolt to ask why not. I find it interesting that the more information that comes out, the quicker is the need to expedite their “plans”. And these plans are bullshit. The politicians are basically used car salesmen in $3,000 suits. They have almost zero capacity to integrate philosophical meat into any meaningful discussion without also inquiring if it will hurt their chances for re-election.

Stop.
This is an article planted weeks ago. Look at the syntax and spelling, and the third person being used when refering to ‘Muslims’. A military psychiatrist named Hasan did not write this.
So this was written because…it would later be “found” and brought forth to further impune the patsy in the cross-hairs for the Fort Hood shooting.
The government agents wrote and submitted this piece to use it after their patsy was killed.
Hmmm, wonder what the surviving Hasan will say about the piece, or about his alledged strip-club gavants ala Atta, or his contact with a radical Imam in Yemini.
Hasan (if allowed to speak) will say; “BULLSHIT!” accross the board – and be telling the complete truth.
