With a cooler-than-usual winter and a mild temperatures leading up to the beginning of summer, global warming alarmists are finding they are losing steam in the debate. But “NBC Nightly News” won’t give up the fight.
On the June 15 broadcast, anchor Brian Williams noted the peculiar weather patterns along the East Coast.
“The weather along the eastern seaboard has been more like Scotland in October lately,” Williams said. “Then came the first of the Internet stories, some of them written by learned people in the weather field, wondering if summer as we know it was just not going to happen this year in some areas because of the high up air currents over this country that we can’t see.”
According to NBC chief environmental affairs correspondent Anne Thompson, the phenomena are caused by the a jet stream dropping deeper into the United States than is usual for this time of year.

“Though summer doesn’t officially start for another week, the run up has been most unseasonable,” Thompson said. “A soggy, chilly tableau for Chicago’s weekend art fair. A tornado threat delaying America’s pastime in Denver. Hail transforming the streets of Bend, Oregon. Driving the cold weather, since Memorial Day – the jet stream that has stayed farther south than usual.”
But Thompson reliance told viewers not to let the current weather dispel any beliefs they have in global warming, because warmer weather is on the way.
“This less-than-beach-like weather may have you wondering about global warming,” Thompson said. “This cold spell is a snapshot, just a couple of weeks. Global warming is something that happens over decades and centuries. So hang in there, summer and its warmth is on the horizon.”
That news of warm weather and theory of global warming was reassuring for Williams. “Glad to hear that. I was beginning to worry,” he said.

So summer is coming and we will probably get warm weather. . .which means global warming. Unseasonably cool weather also means global warming, cold in winter or a mild winter is also indicative of global warming. Lots of snow in the winter or very little snow could only mean one thing. . .global warming.

It’s colder right now because the sun is at MINIMUM. It’s highly likely (but unknown for sure) that the sun will heat up again in the next few years and then these same idiots will scream global warming propaganda at the top of their lungs. Absolutely correct, J. I heard that sunspots are making a slow reappearance. I think calls for new ice age are overrated. Climate change has always occured over the the past million years and always will. Humans have nothing to do with it. We could be wiped out sooner rather then later and it will take the Illuminati with it.

The advisers of Obama are pushing “concrete scientific information that states unequivocally that climate change is happening now”(Democrat & Chronicle, Rochester, NY-AP writer Seth Borenstein). The article further quotes John Holdren, science adviser for the White House: “…the findings make the case for taking action to slow global warming-both by reducing emissions and adapting to the changes that ‘are no longer avoidable’ “. Jane Lubchenco, an administration official from NOAA, stated that “the new report …would inform policy but not dictate a particular solution”. It’s not only the mainstream television media being used to push this so-called “science”, but every media outlet that doesn’t question the motivations of government officals, nor dispute the packaged news stories the government issues.

The only idiots I see are the ones that think humans have no effect on our environment. It is totally unrealistic to think that we as humans can dump untold amounts of highly toxic chemicals into the environment with out having an effect on it. Pull your head up out of the sand folks humans are having a devastating effect on the worlds environment and only blind fools would disagree. Just because global warming may not be exactly what we think it is doesn’t mean that we should just keep acting like the earth is our own personal dumping ground for the useless shit we create. Please at least acknowledge that we can have a significant impact on our environment. Besides most of the scientists who started speaking out against global warming are in fact payed by or have done work for petroleum companies, do some research.

The Global Warming Liars are ridiculously dumb. “Enhanced greenhouse” is totally UNTRUE. Greenhouse gases do not really “trap Earth’s heat” but could be fairly described as delaying the energy transfer from Earth to space. (”Trapping heat” implies that the energy is stuck in the system forever, which is a false notion.) Greenhouse gases do not emit energy in the same bandwidth in which they absorb energy and thus emissions from carbon dioxide are not absorbed by carbon dioxide. While energy(heat) may be delayed on its inevitable journey back to space, it will eventually be emitted regardless of the number of intervening atmosphere layers and contents. Heat is energy. Heat is measured by BTU(British thermal units). Temperature is NOT…I repeat…IS NOT the measurement of heat. Global warming liars use temperature to justify their claims. Warming indicates HEAT. Temperature is a TOTAL INACCURACY when measuring and explaining global warming(heating and cooling). GRRRRR…I can talk on and on about this. I’m not saying lowering emissions is a bad thing. BUT, the constant lies on the effects of carbon dioxide(383 ppmv compared to 780,840 ppmv Nitrogen, 209,460 ppmv Oxygen, 9,340 Argon) and other minute gases in the atmosphere are NOT effecting global warming. Putting a tax on something that has NO affect on global warming is a FARCE.
