No Clues ‘For Years’ On Bin Laden Hideout

The US defence secretary has admitted that his country does not know where al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is hiding.

And Robert Gates said they had not had any good intelligence on his whereabouts in years.

“We don’t know for a fact where Osama bin Laden is. If we did, we’d go and get him,” Gates told ABC television.

Asked when was the last time the US had any good intelligence on his whereabouts, he said: “I think it’s been years.”
