There won’t be razor wire, but anyone arrested during the Democratic National Convention will be held in locked chain-link cells in an old warehouse.
The Denver County Sheriff’s Office unveiled the facility Wednesday, saying it was designed to mimic the functions of a real jail.
The good news: There will be air conditioning.

The bad news: 20 people to an 18-by-18-foot holding cell.
“When people come into our custody, we have an obligation to protect the people that do come in from each other, to protect the community from escape, so that’s why the security is important,” Undersheriff Bill Lovingier said. “This has to run just like a bricks- and-mortar jail might.”
The Temporary Arrestee Processing Center will open Sunday and remain operational until Aug. 31.
Initially, officials had planned to top the cells with razor wire. But that was changed to chain-link in response to community concerns, Lovingier said during a media tour of the facility northeast of downtown in the Clayton neighborhood.

If there were ever a time for resistance, being arrested and taken to one of these animal pens for exercising free speech is it. Seems to me that the force 20 people can exert on a 18′ x 18′ chainlink wall would be sufficient to gain their freedom. How sad it is that police have abandoned all adherence to the Constitution in exchange for their own sense of personal power. They are not real men or real Amerians and they disgrace the heroic sacrifices made by our founders.

I didn’t hear anything mentioned about bathroom facilties? What they are doing is putting these people/Citizen in a kennel and are stating they can hold them indefinitely for voicing their concerns regarding a rogue regime that won’t take accountability.

Very true about bathroom facilities. Also, what do they do about sick people? Diabetics? This looks to be not well thought out at all but then most reactionary thinking isn’t thinking at all.
MLK served a purpose, that is why he was allowed to do what he did, the cause racial factionalism in the White, Southern culture and to cause civil unrest.
Once Dr. King started to gain real power and to stand up to real power, we all know the results to that.
