Wow, TexasVet, sanity amongst the nutcases!

If a member of the military takes an oath like this, that’s his business…don’t ask don’t tell after all. But a soldier who thinks he has constitutional rights has been smoking too much Afghani hashish. The soldier who actually does question his orders is what we in the military call a traitor.

American military members surrender their rights when they swear their oath to the United States. They are subject to the uniform code of military justice (UCMJ) not the constitution that governs the people they work for (the citizens).

Police officers also swear oaths; they don’t surrender their rights, but which oath takes precedence, the one they swore to protect and serve, or the one they swore to decide whether they should obey orders or not?

As far as the pretend military folks saying they’ll never obey an unlawful order, that’s why there are military prisons. Superior means superior in the military, and it’s not a soldier’s job to question authority.

Go back and hide somewhere, Papa Bush can’t protect you any longer…the darkies are coming!!

What is the sense of how much of the military is true to this oath? What can civilians do to support and grow this group of oathkeepers? What should a civilian’s role be in relation to protection of ourselves and of the constitution? Are we headed towards a police state? I just bought my first gun but I have no military experience and hope that the military will not turn on us while the world banks try to impoverish this country and take it over.

We have bigger stuff to worry about, the devaluing dollar will continue to slide downhill until we return to a gold standard, isreal will thump iran causing unstable fuel situations, the city slickers have no way to feed themselves which will cause riots that will spill out into the countrysides and rural areas, then martial law will come into play, they have tanks, big guns, planes, helicopters, and some special tricks up there sleeves I’m sure. and lets say we have a confrontation we must wipe the slate clean of bureaucracy, government on a national level, or it will come back stronger and wait till we are complacent and then do whats in out “best” interests to regain control.

I have sent this site to my entire mailing list. I have been praying for such a group to emerge that would defend our freedoms. Thank God our founding fathers was willing to both have their own blood spilled and to spill that of the oppressors in order to gain our freedom. Obama’s army of civilian soldiers, committed to obey Obama’s commands will no doubt act to disarm Americans. I am 71 in a couple of months, a veteran and perhaps too old to join your forces – but I can and will personally resist all orders to surrender my guns and will use them, if need be, to defend my home against unlawful searches and seizures. I will help you anyway I can, but I cannot be at the meeting in Mass. I wish you every success.

ONE- what the hell are you people afraid of ? You think Obama is coming to take you away? What a load of crap.

TWO – Where were these oathkeepers when BUSH and his crew nixed our rights in the first place? You were freshening up your flag decals and tellow ribbons, which will not get you into heaven as the immortal John Prine said.

THREE- you wanna make a difference? Then volunteer with local groups that HELP people who need help. Don’t waste your time and energy stockpiling ammo, and peeking through your curtains looking for the Obama brigade.

Bush was real evil, and you did nothing. Now that we have a chance for change, you are running around like idiots scared of your own shadows. WTF?

I am a longtime Oathkeeper who is more afraid of the terrified lemmings like these guys than a so-called Obama brigade. It these paranoiacs who shoot up post offices, NOT people who are working to improve the lives of their community.

Finally, asking the cops and military to refuse to aid in a state of emergency is stupid.
Are they supposed to stay home when the next Katrina hits?

Get real. You don’t have to be afraid of Democrats or Black Presidents.

You do need to listen a little better when a retard republican says we are killing the 4th ammendment, sending our boys to die for bullshit, ending the individual right to a public trial,
building a fucking prison in Cuba, so we don’t have to be honest and true, and all the other insane crap pulled off by Bush and Cheney. You idiots think that those guys were on your side? You have been completely deceived, and are still wallowing in Glenn Beck Bullshit.

I am so very glad for this. Oath Keepers is not red for Republicans or blue for Democrats…it is WHITE for truth..the color that binds our country together. So, I am making copies of this and putting giving this to officers as I see them. I am calling my family in rural parts of the country to let them know about this. I am posting the oath on free billboard space and at libraries. It is good for citizens to know their rights too…..so get out there with a hand full of flyers and some sidewalk chalk!!!

I would love to see Henry Rollins/REM/Rage Against the Machine/etc. give free tickets to police, firefighters, state workers…anyone with the public trust…pull them on stage and re-affirm their oath in front of thousands of fans, preferably live!
