I think like some others commenting here, I’m a bit tired of this rhetoric as well when we have so many other practical problems that are true threats to the quality of everyday life. I don’t need to hear this fear mongering right now. I expect nation states to be the propagators of nuclear weapons for quite some time.

It would come as a surprise to me if this sort or rhetoric is not being used in almost all of the planet’s other nations, but even more surprising would be if they chanted it to their people word for word. Somehow I’m under the suspicion the words “rogue states” are replaced with “United States”. The fact that they know we already possess the world’s deadliest devices and run around the world like a maniacal lunatic waving our fists at anyone who gets in our way probably causes more anxiety to them than even our own government is attempting to place on us. Count your blessings.

I seem to remember Alex having Glen Spencer on as a guest… if my memory serves.. they emblazoned the suitcase with “wmd” warning stickers and did precisely that.

In other words, any secret service can hand a nuke or bio weapon to one of their operatives, stingee, or patsy, or some other helpful idiot, and that person can simply walk across the WIDE OPEN BORDER into the united states. [ of course, they could just hand it over directly to same in NYC if they wanted to..and just claim, the weapon was "smuggled into the U.S. by really, super awesome Al Qaeda terrorists"]

A border watch group claims it successfully sneaked into the United States carrying a fake weapon of mass destruction.

American Border Patrol spokesman Glenn Spencer told a Tucson newspaper the test was intended to show how easy it would be for terrorists to sneak deadly weapons across the border.
