I’ve finally figured out the Obama economic strategy. President Barack Obama and his team have been having so much fun wielding dictatorial power while rescuing “failed” firms, that they have developed a scheme to gain the same power over every business. The plan is to enact policies that are so anticompetitive that every firm needs a bailout.
Once that happens, their new pay czar Kenneth Feinberg can set the wage for everybody and Rahm Emanuel can stack the boards of all of our companies with his political cronies.
I know, it sounds like an exaggeration. But look at it this way. If there were a power ranking of U.S. companies, like the ones compiled by football writers for National Football League teams, Microsoft would surely be first or second to Google. But last week, Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer came to Washington to announce what Microsoft would do if Obama’s multinational tax policy is enacted.

“It makes U.S. jobs more expensive,” Ballmer said, “We’re better off taking lots of people and moving them out of the U.S.” If Microsoft, perhaps our most competitive company, has to abandon the U.S. in order to continue to thrive, who exactly is going to stay?
At issue is Obama’s policy to end the deferral of multinational taxation.
The U.S. now has about the highest combined corporate tax rate, second only to Japan among industrialized countries. That rate is so high that U.S. firms have an enormous disadvantage versus competitors. The average corporate tax rate for the major developed countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in 2008 was about 27 percent, more than 10 percentage points lower than the U.S. rate.

Obama works for whoever funds his election campaigns (mostly the finance sector).
And the multinational corporations aren’t going to care much whether they employ Americans or Indians.
I think the point is his treasonous betrayal of the American people.
It’s hard to comprehend the bold, shameless, slimy, moral bankruptcy that is possessed by a man that stands in front of millions and pretends to fight for the people’s well being while actually working for those that are screwing the people and their children of their standard of living.

Do you really believe this shit microsoft is spewing. First off we have a simple solution to this problem. Adopt a if you do business here, you do the production and creative work here policy that hires citizens exclusively.
I fully support taxing these arrogant corporations and issuing price controls on top of that. Those taxes can be used to deal with the massive damages these treasonous corporations have already done to the nation and economy that made them great to begin with.
I’m not one to call for more laws often, but we need a serious revaluation of how the free market works and how we can control the arrogance of major corporations and prevent them from circumventing our republics political system that was designed to treat everyone equal…not just those who donate millions to the elected officials.
I like windows. it makes everything easier in my opinion, but how long do you think it would take us to adopt to linux and bring it up to speed as a desktop solution for the masses if microsoft tried to recall all of their licenses? And who is to say that the government would not say that such an action would endanger the security of this country and nationalize the company within hours.

Ubuntu. Free, Fast, Linux… stop feeding the Eugenics Monsters of Microsoft, and actually get real speed out of your system. Like windows, cool, grab Virtual Box, install windows inside linus, and there you go.
Like something that works with a lot less headaches, get a mac. I was a PC guy for 27 years, after the new Intel based mac’s came out, I wouldn’t buy a new windows based pc.
I like the idea of sell here, work here… but no one wants to talk about it.
Microsoft pushes most of it’s profits in Eugenics programs, Planned Parenthood, and such as that… I’d rather support the linux community any day, but it’s still not completely end user friendly… Mac is the best of both worlds, usability and stability. Linux might go down once a year, Mac, everytime a huge update comes out… windows, everytime you run a program.

I too am a long standing Mac fan, though I don’t have one presently. I look for the day when GNU Linux builds are as put together as apple’s current “Darwin” based OS. I think it’s inevitable. As a solution to computing, Mac is the cat’s meow, but look for significant human detriment if monopolization amongst these biggies increases.
Jobs & Gates have remained thick as thieves. Apple is in much greater cahoots with the industry complexes that, like Google, we are being forced to ostracize, if freedom is our goal.

Oh yeah, Linux first for the technical…
Mac’s for the rest of the people who are tired of virus / spyware infections.
You get what you pay for. Linux is a pain in the butt sometimes, but it’s nifty when it works and is set up properly.
Mac works great out of the box.
Avoid the Microsoft monster if possible… and PS, you can get Mac OS to run on certain windows based PC’s… look on the internet for it, if you are interested in tinkering.

It is a fact that while people are losing their jobs, government jobs are growing. I went to an unemployment job site and the whole first 4 pages were military jobs. Our way of life is being eroded by military endeavors. The car companies are just the beginning of the takeover of our industry until it is military or starve. Jobs? Ha we will have to go over seas to find work. What business does government have in business? First they try to say we will all get profits as Americans from the GM sale but all I see is us taxpayers footing the bill over and over. Giving them bailouts to just snatch their companies isn’t the brilliant part. Getting away with it is. Every Industry best beware because when if the bailouts don’t work on you they will find other tactics until they steal them all. This administration is full of high class theifs.
