Say they did instate a carbon tax, if the average commoner doesn't have the money to keep their car & home, then they aren't contributing to global warming (I believe in global cooling ~ just for the record). After all, if you live in the woods in a tent, isn't that best for the environment? Oh, wait, they would instate a campfire extinguishing tax to help pay for all the wildfires in Cali. How 'bout this... as soon as you get a job, you have to fill out a form with a list of 50 categories. You would then choose 10 that would get a certain percentage of your pay, but devided according to your specifications. Every year, you would get a new one to fill out & be allowed to keep five the same, but have to change five in order to keep things constantly flowing in all categories. For example, if I don't believe in global warming & I don't want any of my money going towards that cause, then I wouldn't check that category. Instead, I could choose to give 6% (of the 17% being deducted from my paycheck) to preserving the wetlands. The plan would be similar to the setting up & distribution of a 401K plan. ..... Its usually every 30 years. we're coming out of this 30 year trend now where we'll start getting colder winters again and more snowfall during the winters, and more rains. It Takes a "Trend". Just like the rivers. they too change every 30 years. How they flow and such. Maybe obama needs to do some REAL homework before he throws out another order for a carbon Tax. Talk to some older folks ask them if they remember times like this were having in the weather. they can tell you of the droughts of the 30's. "The dust Bowl Years. Besides. All these Parking lots and Blacktop roads hold in Heat in the earth. Ever think of that? Worlds covered by im sure at least 45% with blacktop and concretes for parking lots and buildings. Think about that one you go to a Mall. How much area alone there is covered?
