There are 3 important – but seemingly unrelated – trends:
- The banks have been given hundreds of billions of dollars, but refuse to lend to people
- Investors are so afraid of losing money, that they are buying short-term treasuries with negative return
- Many thousands of people in developed countries are making small loans online to poor entrepreneurs in developing countries. The percentage of borrowers who repay the loans is very high
Banks are ripping off our money, and giving us nothing in return. People who have saved money don’t know what to do with it, and are so desperate that they will pay the government to hold it temporarily. The microcredit movement has proven that small loans can be made and tracked online. The guy who invented the idea behind microcredit lending won a Nobel prize for doing so.

The financial elite are ruining our countries, stealing our money and robbing us of our future.
In the same way that we need to “be the media” – since the mainstream press censors the truth and serves as the stenographer for those in power – let’s “be the financial system” as well. We could charge 1% interest: its much lower than the banks, and its much higher than the negative returns on short-term treasury bills.
Why not set up our own system of lending and borrowing? Let’s create a financial system ourselves that really works. One of the people, by the people and for the people.
The big banks are broke anyway. They owe more than they can possibly pay on derivatives and other bad investments. The sooner we create our own financial system, the less painful will the transition be to a post-Wall Street world, and the sooner we can start to “free up liquidity” and to re-build a sustainable economy.

I have never heard of the microcredit movement but it sounds good. Not sure how you would collect though and what laws apply. There are a lot of laws about making loans.

People that talk shit are definitely afraid of what’s to come. They can’t imagine being without their precious fake life with their “stuff”. Stuff that makes them feel whole. That’s my in-laws. They are weaklings that don’t want to know. They say “I don’t have any debt” that, it’s not me attitude, so I’M safe. SELFISH!!!!!! And they don’t believe that the Federal Reserve is NOT our money. This is my first look at this website and with all the name calling and “I’m smarter than you” attitudes, its no wonder this country is going down the tubes. No matter who is at fault, we had all better be contributing to the solution instead of part of the problem and we can start by trying to understand each other and stop shouting out obscentities and name calling. Our government is being run by incompetent people and “we the people” need to raise our voices and tell them how we feel about putting us in debt along with our children and grandchildren. I don’t have the answers, our government sure doesn’t have the answers and we need every critical imaginative person’s thoughts to help not only our country out of this mess, but the whole world. Too much crime and violence in politics, on the streets, in the media, in movies, too much greed that is pervasive and crime seems to pay at least it always has in Chicago, IL. We need to hold those accontable who got us into this mess and I mean every last one of those politicians, heads of financial corporations, hedge fund managers, the auto industry and probably many others who took more than their fair share because they could and our government allowed it to happen. Not enough oversite and not enough concern for “we the people”. And it doesn’t look like this new administration is going to do any better and perhaps worse than the last. The Chicago crime lords have moved into Washington and the check book is open and your money will be spend to spread the wealth except there isn’t any more wealth. Congress is going to put a .40 tax on gasoline come this January, Obama is still trying to figure out how to get more money out of those “wealthy” people who make over $200K/yr and that number keeps declining. The introduction of a socialized medicine will only bring more sick people to the clinics and higher taxes for everyone. We need preventive care using alternative therapies and not relegated to just the western medical model that is controlled by the FDA, AMA and insurance companies. This country is broke and we need to stop the hemorrhage! Call your Congressman and any other representatives that are on committees and voice your opinion. They all seem to be deaf, dumb and blind in Washington. “We the People” need to stick together, come together, share ideas, help each other survive and be a force for what is good and decent. In sweden we acctually have a bank that takes only 2% interest on any given loans. They also does not give out more loans then they have in their own vaults. Its called JAK bank and is a proof that banks can exist without basing their organization upon interests or lending out money that does not exist.

There is a 2 party system but it is not what you think,it is people who do for themselves and people who are waiting for someone to do for them.All of these people with there hand out proves what I say.Our politicians are of the same cloth they want our money for there support of there lifestyle at our expence.They don’t give a rats butt if we all die except for where would they get there money from then.They think they know best because we are a bunch of idiots and I am begining to think we are to let this keep on going like it is.

The American Colonists empowered themselves when they created Colonial Script – and the Colonies prospered so much and so qucikly that the Central Banks of Europe were quite alarmed!

Well, Responders, Take back the US, Mark, and, Real Protection, I agree with you all, except what are we going to DO about it, HMMM, wouldn’t it be interesting to see if we just stop paying our Bills, then who are they going to milk off off themselves? These people are Greedy psycopaths to whom we have been enabling to continue in Stealing from us. Are you going to keep letting them do this? Everyone on us has a stake in this, and it need to be a revolution all around the world for that matter, as we are not the only one who is affected by this free for all hellish Greed. Please, When I come on pp I see that some responder are critical of others comments. Please people, we are in too much trouble economically to be relating to each other in this way. Like one responder stated, these powers that be have a two-party system for a reason, and if they can keep us divided then they can count on us never coming together with one mind and one agender to really do anything about the mess They have put us in. Very genius on their part, don’t you think? We need to put our heads together and come up with ways to break their backs, and stop stealing from us, we have more pressing issues to consider then to being critical of one another. So Please, show a little Love, because everyone is entitled to their own opinion, unlike the powers that be who want to hush us up so we have no rights at all. Band together, not tear each other apart. We are more than they, and we need each other really to stop this madness from continuing to happen to us. Bottom Line, We are all in this together.

If this is what we believe it is, no one will survive it. We really doubt that the elite are ready to cleanse the system of their servants. No, they enjoy the worship most of their servants provide. More than likely the ride will be very slow to the bottom with many stops for effect and false promises for the masses that so worship them. The average American can not survive without the “living by proxy through the rich” enjoyed as a religion by them. The elite have no idea of the agenda awaiting them and are not capable of believing it. So it will be a waiting game as to just how serious this will be ALLOWED to become. A manipulated, contoled, planned, event with the average American dancing all the way and some even participating in the music. If you worship the RICH as gods, why do you become upset when they chastise you for not sacrificing more to them. They are just correcting you so that your children will learn to serve them better through toil that they will appreciate, but of course not pay for.

One of the big problems I have with the “Freedom Movement” that seems to be going on is how there is still this secular religious foundation to it alot of it… that somehow America is a Christian ’state’ where we should be bound by “Christian Doctrine”… Sort of the was the middle east is bound by “Islamic Law”… This is not how America was formed, and even many of the “Freedom Lovers” among us feel that certain “Freedom” should only belong to them (that is, those who abide by their Christian doctrine) and actively participate in removing the freedoms of those whom their preechers tell them God would not accept. I am refering to Prop 8 supporters (or supporters of any of the other anti-gay legislation that recently went through in many other states). Those who supported this anti-gay legislation are the same people who screamed that gay people wanted “Special Rights” but in the end, it is exactly the opposite, THEY want special rights! The right to be married, and all the rights and benefits that bestows upon them… there are MANY MANY MANY, most people just take for granted their rights to inheritance, income tax incentives, the right to adopt children, hell even the basic right to see your loved one in the hospital who is on their death bed can be denied by a distant cousin if they demand it (and it happens all the time because their is so much hatred built up by these religious nut jobs who breed this hate just for kicks!) Yall need to stop the hate of specific groups of people who really should be getting your support when you claim to support freedom and the constitution… it is afterall, for everyone, not just you… isn’t that what the whole damn complain is about anyway? Someone intrusion of goverment into your life telling you what to do, and taking away your fundamental rights? Thos of you freedom lovers out there who are participating in ammending state constitutions to add exclusionary verbage should really think twice about opening up that can of worms as the Gays are just the ones under attack at the moment and its being allowed into our state Constitutions!!! What if next its Fat people? Smokers? oh wait… its religious things are ok… so maybe we Ban divorce? or just make it even and Ban marriage all together? I have a most interesting book titled “The Coming Battle” published by Mad Cow Press out of, I* believe, Grants Pass Oregon. Published in about 1900 it details the money manipulations that have plagued this country since it’s beginnings. Most people don’t realize it but the “Stamp Act” of King George was passed to devalue the Colonial script that Ben Franklin said was the cause of the colonies prospertity. Colonial script was debt and interest free. That “Stamp Act” was a direct cause of the Revolutionary War. I’ve always been fascinated by that period. Washington is a Great Uncle of mine 7 generations back. His sister, Mary, and her husband, Col. Fielding Lewis are my direct ancestors. (Washington never had children of his own)

So, how do we get everyone to do it? i dont have any debt except my property taxes and insurance on my home and car. I never lived with or on credit. This site is a place where people that are concerned with the pathetic direction of our nation has taken come to gather and share information and views that MAY assist us in recapturing our nation or surviving the calamity that we think is coming. Not where, personally I care to see debated your views of your deviant sexual preference. In a theistic society you would probably be stoned to death or the equivalent so mark yourself as fortunate. I’m sure that you and a few hundred of your closest HOMO friends could find an old woman to assault that disagrees with your sexual perversity. But not where I can see it.
Enough.
I live off the land. Grow a large garden, preserve own my veggies and food. Hunt for meat. Have a large smoker. Get water from a well, no fluoride. Have free range chickens. Beyond all that there are still many things I depend on outside what I can provide for myself. Automobile and tractor parts and service that I may not be able to do myself. Window glass ect. ect.. I could go on but you know what I’m saying. Cant do it all yourself, no one can. So that is the basis of barter. If you in your areas establish a script (writing) a hand written note of value for trade essentially a IOU. It could be anything, a dozen eggs, an hours labor for …, you roof my out building, I plow, till, plant your garden. You start to free yourself from the Federal Reserve notes bondage.
The bandits will not stop. We must learn to live outside their purview and influence, A little at a time, try it it works.

I agree with you we need to cooperate and work together. I have one exception. I dont believe it can be solved with a vote. the corruption extends to far into the political arena and is to pervasive. They have no accountability to the people. Refuse to evidence the birth certificate. Sell a Senate seat. Blah, blah, blah. Makes me puke. The elite and the elected have already come to the conclusion that they can do as they wish because they believe that they know best what is good for us “we the people” sheeple than we are able to determine for ourselves, what is best for us. Thus they, the elite plutocracy will determine that they, should NOT be constrained by a vote of the mere sheeple in doing what is best for sheeple, because they believe we are incapable of governing ourselves. This cannot be fixed with a ballot.

I have said on numerous occasions that this financial debacle could have been fixed almost instantly had the government given each LEGAL person in America a guaranteed check in the amount of $500,000.00 per man, woman and child at a mere cost of $1.7 Trillion Dollars.
The fact that they WILL NOT do this should tell you that they do NOT care about you and that this is a conspiracy to flood the market with dollars to bring about a period of MEGA-SUPER INFLATION such as this nation has never dreamed would happen.
Within the next year, you will see this come to pass and you should be minimizing the amount of money going out and maximizing the amount of survival goods you will need to survive this coming disaster.
You will need food, seeds, water, vitamins/minerals and needed medical supplies to last an indefinite length of time if you expect to survive what is coming when this massive inflationary period begins.
I would recommend selling all of the unnecessary items you do not need and using this money to purchase the items you will need as soon as possible.
Time is of the essence, so take it for what it’s worth. God Bless you all.

i think we need a private bartering system managed on-line that will convert transactions to gold ounce credits. things would be bought and sold in dollars, but those dollars would be converted to and from gold ounce credits according to current gold spot price.
dollars nor actual gold would be exchanged though people can earn gold ounce credits by purchasing them with real dollars. gold ounce credits couldn’t directly be withdrawn in dollars but original dollar amount deposited could be refunded.
