Olbermann refers to Bush 9/11 ‘lies’ as ‘Insult the Dead-gate’

As the departing Bush administration frantically attempts to shore up its place in history, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann stands ready to kick the props out from under it again. A renewed claim that “no one could have anticipated” the attacks of 9/11 attracted his scorn in particular on Thursday’s Countdown.
“This is a White House talking point still, even though your average three-year-old could disprove it using an etch-a-sketch.” Olbermann sneered on Thursday, over the heading, “Insult the Dead-gate.”
Olbermann’s specific target was White House press spokesman Tony Fratto, who responded to a Fox News interviewer’s suggestion on Wednesday that before 9/11, “nobody was thinking that there’d be terrorists flying 767s into buildings” by agreeing, “No one could have anticipated that kind of attack — or very few people.”

“Yeah, well, it ain’t true,” Olbermann remarked, with open contempt dripping from his words, “and out of respect for the people who died that day you damn well better stop saying it.”
Olbermann then ran through a list of pre-9/11 warnings of potential al Qaeda hijackings, noting, “A president’s daily brief as far back as December 1998 said bin Laden was ‘preparing to hijack US aircraft in hopes of trading hostages for jailed radicals.’ … The August 6, 2001 brief, of course, told President Bush — if he read it — that there were ‘patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings.’”
Olbermann did not mention either the use of airplanes as weapons by the Japanese kamikaze suicide pilots during World War II or the abortive al Qaeda plot of the 1990’s known as Project Bojinka, which would have involved both blowing up airliners and crashing a plane into CIA headquarters in Virginia and which may have been the inspiration for 9/11.
“That Mr. Fratto’s employers might not have been expected to know the exact hour of these attacks,” concluded Olbermann, “does not give him or anybody else the right to perpetuate the lie that 9/11 was impossible to conceive. Clearly, many inside this nation’s government anticipated it. It was Mr. Bush and his gang who chose to ignore them.”

When I was a teenager in 80’s, my mother had a set of decorative beersteins in her china hutch. Each one celebrated a major world city…Hong Kong, London, New York, ect… Well, the New York one depicted a jetliner flying into the side of the World Trade Center Towers….And this was in the mid 1980’s!! She recently gave me that stein because I demanded it. Here are some pics of it:

Hey Sense, your cut-and-paste excerpt from the website is fine and may seem accurate based upon your selected arguments, but you cannot prove through logic or historical record that “inspiration” was divine or not. Even if you’re an Athiest, you still cannot definitively prove that you were not divinely inspired to post your excerpt. Christianity aside, the inspiration for a thought, biological or divine, cannot be conclusively determined, therefore your emphatic statement that the documents were not divinely inspired can be just as inaccurate as much as they are accurate. Remember, you’re arguing inspration and not content here, and I suggest you’re confusing exegesis with eisegesis. In fact, I suppose I could be accused of the same thing (arguing here as the Devil’s advocate – forgive the Zen riddle contained in that one). Anyway, fun to volley on the conundrum. Bin Laden always maintained that he had no knowledge – never mind involvement – with 9/11 and blamed a ‘government within the government’ in the White House for the carnage, he actually condemned the attacks and stated that the US perpetrators were just using him as a scape goat to cover up for their own treasonous crimes.

That said, I agree with Criminal Government, and Ken, and Linda London, as well as PJW for posting the clip: Olbermann knows he can’t jump over the moon, but is using the platform he has to do a good work, even if limited in scope. His alternative is to give up that rather high platform, and useful to a good cause, and go into the underground press, where he could sell a more concentrated form of truth, but in much smaller quantities.
Being realistic is making that tradeoff, and I think his contribution has been worthwhile.
There aren’t many Alex Joneses in the world, who can say the whole truth and rise to the level of notoriety he has reached. (That’s why we’re here, right? and not over at Raw Story posting)

‘Anticipate’ Nine-Eleven? Hell, they planned it! They forewarned selected personnel ahead of time not to be there after the owner, Silverstein worked to have the buildings, an asbestos hazard–taken out. Someone planted thermite well in advance at the base of the columns holding up the buildings, and it was a cruise missile which hit the Pentagon. No native living in a cave in Afghanistan would have known how to operate a cruise missile even if a flatbed truck dropped it off at his cave entrance. There is no plane wreckage seen in MSM films of the Pentagon hit and none in films of the cornfield in Pennsylvania where the other plane is said to have gone down other than a stack of sheetmetal likely dropped off by a truck before the ten-foot-deep hole seen in the MSM films was dug. And what about Building Seven? It ‘collapsed’ late in the afternoon, long after the towers had been taken down. It was a quick way to get the Patriot Act on the books, make moves (which we now know have failed miserably) to steal Iraq’s oil and set up a US defense for Israel’s east flank and strike the Taliban (who have struck back devastatingly.) We need to use what is still available to us before they shut it down. C-SPAN’s call-in is still relatively free, if you’re civil and knowledgeable, you can get as much as 2 min. on air, average 45 sec., which is still good, millions listen to C-SPAN and if enough people with knowledge keep pelting them with questions as if they were shoes, it will have an effect.
That and the Internet, and even more important, bring it up whenever you can.

Ive gotta agree with paul above in some way, I believe its a bit more complicated than to just stop spending, as this isnt just some governmental conspiracy but an entire civilization that they have created. They have trained generation after generation to believe in this corrupt system and thats why you have a 150 thousand idiots in Iraq, the many thousand in Afghanistan and the many more thousands who keep volunteering to perpetuate their bullshit. You stop spending, they still get you by starting wars, driving the currency to shit by which raising inflation. So even if you stop spending, you are forced to spend the very little you have left. To conceivably create change would take a trillion dollars to invest in a real movement to threaten theirs.
