Olbermann Spins Viper Militia Story to Demonize Patriots and Open Carry

On August 19, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann took the airwaves warning us of the danger posed to the nation by the Arizona man who brought an AR-15 to an Obamacare event. Olbermann attempted to link the man to the so-called militia movement by way of Ernest Hancock, the editor of the Freedom’s Phoenix website, a constitutional news portal established to provide information as an alternative “to the filters of a slavering collective mainstream media awaiting the approval of their government masters.”
Olbermann attempted to connect Hancock to the Arizona Viper Militia.
On July 1, 1996, the BATF arrested a dozen members of the so-called Viper Militia and accused the group of a nefarious plot. President Clinton congratulated the BATF and saluted “the enforcement officers who made the arrests in Arizona yesterday to avert a terrible terrorist attack. Their dedication and hard work over the last six months may have saved many lives.” AG Janet Reno chimed in with effusive praise and declared the agency had saved the nation from “a potentially dangerous situation.” Raymond Kelly of the Treasury Department said the government had put an end to an “armed and dangerous” militia group determined to stir up “civil unrest.”
The government said the Viper Militia had plotted to blow up federal buildings, including the Phoenix Police Department and the Arizona National Guard headquarters. In addition, they supposedly planned to attack a local television station. The BATF claimed to have confiscated 77 machine guns, hundreds of other firearms, tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition, booby traps, tons of ammonium nitrate — the fertilizer absurdly said to have been used in the Oklahoma City bombing — and explosives such as nitromethane and lead azide.
In December of 1996, Alan W. Bock, writing for Reason Magazine, did a reality check on the government story and subsequent corporate media propaganda. Since the arrests earlier in the year, “some details have come to light that suggest the Vipers were not quite as dangerous as the BATF would have us believe,” Bock wrote. In fact, there wasn’t a plot to blow up government buildings or attack television stations.
Furthermore, the “vast arsenal” kept shrinking. Seventy-seven machine guns dwindled to four, and the unstable lead azide was transformed into lead styphnate, then lead picrate, a less dangerous compound. The amount of ammonium nitrate was reduced to 500 pounds, plus 14 or 15 gallons of nitromethane, all of which is legal to possess. But we’ll have to take the BATF’s word for all of this, because agents rushed the seized explosives (alleged explosives?) to the desert and blew them up. Most of the guns turned out to be legal World War I and World War II surplus rifles–not surprising, since a couple of the men arrested were collectors and one had a federal firearms license.
In fact, the group in question didn’t consider itself a militia. It referred to itself as the Viper Team or Team Viper, not the Viper Militia. “This particular militia threat seems to have been conjured up mainly by the BATF,” notes Bock. It was a fabrication cooked up by a couple infiltrators inserted in the militia that was not a militia after a group of Boy Scouts encountered armed people in camouflage who were setting off explosions in the Tonto National Forest, about 60 miles northeast of Phoenix.

During court hearings in the trumped up case, BATF supervisor Steven Ott admitted under oath that one of these infiltrators had urged the other members to rob banks. According to Louis Sahagun of the Los Angeles Times, they all refused, Vin Suprynowicz wrote for the September, 1996, issue of Liberty Magazine.
The government is infamous for this particular sort of entrapment, as numerous news stories over the last couple years reveal. As Infowars reported earlier this week, radio talk show host and blogger Hal Turner was trained by the FBI to set-up and bust people in the patriot movement. COINTELPRO is alive and well in America.
Olbermann’s outlandish claim rests on the fact that five members of the Vipers eventually entered into a plea agreement on weapons charges. The supposed leader of the group, Gary Bauer, also pleaded guilty on weapons charges. “He just thought it would be in his best interests,” Bauer’s attorney told The Washington Post on December 20, 1996.
Six of the accused were released from jail “after promising to stay away from explosives and firearms and to not break any laws,” the Los Angeles Times reported on July 12, 1996. “Family members and friends promised they would act as responsible third parties to ensure that the released defendants remained at home wearing electronic monitoring devices and reported to the court daily.”
Olbermann didn’t bother to tell his audience the outcome of the Viper case. On March 20, 1997, the Los Angeles Times reported that members who were not members of the Viper Militia received “the most lenient prison terms possible under plea agreements with the government…. The sentences ranged from a year and a day in prison with a $1,500 fine to three concurrent 37-month terms and a $2,500 fine.”
The Times also reported that the convicted accused the government of exaggerating their “paramilitary activities” to look tough on domestic terrorism. Moreover, an agent with the BATF testified during the trial that no plot was imminent.
Olbermann and his guest Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center — a perennial “expert” on the corporate media propaganda circuit — only repeated the government’s absurd accusations and did not mention the fact that nobody in the case was convicted of terrorism or was there in fact a terrorist plot. It was a government fabrication.
But then the point is not accurate news reporting but rather the dissemination of lies and propaganda aimed at law-abiding Americans and at the very heart of the Constitution and the Second Amendment. Olbermann’s propaganda moment was intended to link “Chris” from Phoenix to Ernest Hancock and the mirage that is the Viper Militia.
It was also an effort to expand on the government narrative put forth in the Department of Homeland Security’s “rightwing extremism” report designed to demonize the growing patriot movement as homegrown terrorists and violent racists.

Yeah, bringing a gun to a rally that could easily get out of control is questionable judgment but that is his and our right to do. The sacrifices we make for our freedoms are not just on the battlefield. We take the risk of some s--- head taking his rifle away and shooting the crowd if our freedoms were easy and risk free, well, then they wouldn’t be that big of a deal.
If there is ever a question, always side on your constitutional rights. THAT is why the secret service took the risk of having an armed man close to the president, because his right to carry supersedes the small possibility he might do something dumb with that right. (and they probably had him in their sights form a near by roof top)

I have seen many videos of police droping there guns even shooting there fellow officers.. These idiots are carrying guns with a chamberd cartridge and cocked and safty off. the small caliber ultra-light and concealable “church gun” (nice with an ankle or wallet holster)
the backup gun (38, 380 revolver for ultimate reliability)
and the .40 or the .45 ACP multi-purpose meat grinder.
From there you combat shotgun (Remington is nice), a hunting/sniper double duty rifle, and a tricked out assault weapon.
Every American should have these and should wear them like f---ing suits of armor back in the days of King Arthur’s round table. This is the gentleman’s attire.

But I like the .45 because from my experience it does a better job firing through walls should someone be hiding around the corner behind one. I find the 9mm does not do this as well. And I actually like the .40 more than a 9mm.

What matters the most is that everything that is happening IS really happening people! The question is what are we going to do about it when the time actually comes to act? We need to stop fighting amongst ourselves because it isn’t going to be about RACE, it’s going to be US against THEM (the Elite, NWO). Begin uniting, begin making plans in your neighborhoods. Where are you going to meet? How many people do you have as support? Who’s going to be watching your back as you’re moving forward? The one thing that is certain is THEY are going to cut the communication between us all! If you know anyone who is computer savvy and knows programming they are going to be vital at fighting back, as well as anyone with training in battle (soldiers, former soldiers, police officers). There might be something else going on with armed people showing up at presidential rallies. What if the armed statement-makers were really props placed their by (covert operatives from) the CIA in order to build a case for passing legislation to disallow private gun ownership? Bear in mind the same people from PNAC that came up with the 9-11 false flag operation are still walking around, they’re thinking and talking, and I’ll bet there are many top level government officials still listening to them. Planting fake miliitia here and there and having the phony MSM rave about it makes their case for disarming the public. It would be the “natural” thing for the likes of those slimeballs to stage whatever they think will work. They staged 9-11, which was pretty tough, all things considered. Planting phony militia at big political events would be child’s play for those thugs.
I am pleased many of you are serious about fighting for our rights. I am also prepared, to the best of my ability, to fight. Although I’m not sure how to go about it, and, contrary to a recent post, there is no basic training method capable of putting us all in the right mood for revolution or whatever it is we are supposed to do to get ready. Nobody knows what to do, and why should we? Are revolutions in America routine or something we should all know about? We have no experience folks…we’re ignorant as hell about what to do.
The thing I decided to do was, besides stocking up on some food and ammo, I plan to do what I think is the right thing. That is all I can do, and it’s enough. I take this conservative approach to what is most likely going to be a very tough time coming fairly soon because none of us really know what the hell we’re doing. Yet we keep reminding each other we need to stick together, and we do. You see…we cannot make specific, detailed plans or worry about the difference between 9mm or 45 cal., because detailed plans for the unknown are pointless. What helps, though, is reading each others thoughts on blogs and knowing there are others out there who want to stop the evil we see going on, and that is what I mean about “trying to do what is right.” We all have the same good spirit inside that wants the right things to happen, so we should all simply try to do the right thing. That common, shared goal should unite us all…it’s all we really need.
Plan with your family and those next to you…do what you can and use your mind for thinking about the doable things. If you want to organize in specific terms, keep track of the shills and “debunkers”…record their names, their videos or whatever evidence you can find, to be used later to hold the unpatriotic bastards accountable. Do the things you can, the things you know are the right things. It’s common sense…it’s the best thing we got going when there are nothing but lies out there, placed there deliberately to screw around with our thinking–like the armed malitia at the Obama rally. Our enemy is very sneaky, but not really smart–actually very foolish, because in the end truth wins–”Truth Prevails” is one of life’s guarantees. So please try not to buy into their phony games and do whatever you can to expose the phoniness whenever possible.
You might also consider ignoring the phony posters on this sight that love to stir things up…it’s all deliberate…it’s all about screwing around with people’s minds…it’s mind-f---ing. And if you take the bait there is no safe sex practice available…you will end up mainpulated and screwed just by entering the phony debate. Doing the right thing in this case is thinking like the enemy, i.e., “we must stay two steps ahead of the sheep so we can do things to them without their knowing it, then when some of them find out, their anger will make them act against us violently, then we will have the right to crush them and take away their guns, and the sheep that haven’t caught on yet will praise us for doing the right thing.” False flag operations are the enemy’s favorite strategy. Somehow we need to turn it back on them…? Any suggestions? For now, all I can think of is constant reminders that lies and liars are still in control, still keeping us all off balance, still holding many people in stupified positions of support for their criminal government, and still thriving in the only media we have for getting the truth out–the internet–I’m referring to the debunkers, the shills, the phony posters on various sites that love to stir things up.
You see…they–the elite, the ziionists, the illuminati, the Bushes, Obamas, Clintons and Chenies, etc.–are not many. They have been fighting their sneaky war against us common people for a long time, and it has been a psychological war–we’ve all been had–we’ve been BETRAYED for a very, very long time. A small group of sick-minded assholes can do that to the majority, just like they have done in every land on Earth from the dawn of modern civilization. It’s simple: when you cannot use physical force you must use your mind to outwit those you wish to harm, and after it becomes possible to control the minds of many people, it becomes possible to control the masses and steal from them in ways they won’t even realize, all without any physical force. That is what we’re up against, and it’s not brilliance or great strategies or anything like that. It’s plain old evil, and it’s really pathetic, because that behavior represents the worst of humanity–THE ABSOLUTE WORST.
I contend each of us has the natural gift of common sense, and it knows what the “right thing to do” is. The “enemy” wants to stifle that natural thing about humanity, they want to make sure that sleeping giant is never woke up, because that would put an immediate end to their evil. It’s more about a feeling than “the right idea or plan,” and you will know when you have it. And once your mind is put back in order (restored) it will be impossible for the enemy to manipulate you again–their false flags will become instant evidence against them instead of hot topics for the media. After your mind and priorities are in order it might even be possible to think of some realistic short term plans you might put in the works. Word of advice: “think like the enemy”…you can bet “they” never discussed their agendas on the internet before enacting them, so don’t advertise any of your great ideas–the blogs are crawling with slimy parasites put there by “them.” Just like the phony militia at the political rally…just like the nineteen arabs behind 9-11…just like Lee Harvey Oswald…and the list goes on…
It’s been less than a year since I caught on to the truth about our government. I was suspicious, convinced there was corruption, but the smoking gun was always missing. 9-11 is our smoking gun. The entire incident was staged, which includes the ongoing coverup. But the smoking gun points at every branch of government, every major media market and all traditional resources the majority has relied on for useful, accurate information and also as our link to keep an eye on things so bad things are prevented from happening. The systems we all relied on betrayed us, and it hurts. I get damned mad, too. At times I want to go to war to make them pay, thinking, “I’ll get as many as I can before they get me.” And that’s how it’s gone for several months since waking up to the truth. The thing that helped settle me down truly was the realization that all I can really do is stay committed to trying to do the right thing. The right thing now is to be ready for a fight if it comes to that. To continue my education of the real facts. And I plan to keep track of the criminals by digging what I can and compiling evidence. Beyond that I have no plans. Most important is my commitmnet to do the right thing…now that I have that my fears are less and I am no longer confused, which means “they” are no longer in control, and it is going to stay that way the rest of my days. In this sense, I’ve already won–they no longer control me.
Granted, life is a bit boring at times without CNN, but I’ll be damned if I’ll watch any of the major news programs again, other than for weather or reports on hurricanes and other generic or non-politicized events. And I’ll not have any product from Monsanto in my home, ever, because I trust the blogs more than I do Monsanto, and because Donald Rumsfeldt is the CEO. And I’ll leave a comment here and there on the internet…maybe some of my ideas will mean something to readers…? I’ll continue to read the comments by others, for reassurance that there are many like me with more and more joining the movement every day. Mostly I have resolved to never trust politicians like I have in the past, because they now represent the absolute worst of humanity. When this is over I don’t know what type of system will exist in America, but if I’m still here and still able to fight, I will continue to fight any system of order that has any resemblence of what we have now.
My remarks just there demonstrate my commitment to try to do the right thing, which is to oppose the wrong thing also, and this includes fighting with guns, knives or whatever if it comes to that. The other point of demonstration is my mind is made up…I am no longer wondering “what I should do?” That’s a good feeling folks…not sitting on the fence struggling with this confusing thought that contradicts the other confusing thought, and so on. It’s not easy to reach this point but I highly recommend going for it if you have not yet made up your mind. None of us will have an easy time of it, and none of us know more that that because we don’t have crystal balls and wouldn’t know how to use them if we had them. I’m not basking in warmth, I’m not smug, arrogant or anything like that…I just feel good about my commitment. And I don’t have plans, I don’t have great ideas…all I have is my commitment. Whatever is about to happen will happen with or without me, and since I’m here I need to be ready for whatever may happen, and I can only do that to my ability. It’s not much but is all I really have to go on, and it’s enough…it’s enough for my next stage of Life on Earth to get off to a good start. “A start,” when you have enough to start with, that’s probably all you need. I have that, and I hope maybe some of you are able to find that if you have not already done so.
