During Hurricane Sandy, the MTA Metrocard dispensers would only accept cash (presumably because the lines to the credit card companies were knocked out). This is an understandable occurrence.

But what was their excuse for this happening again today?

(Of course, something like this could never, ever happen with the voluntary, private, “mathematically developed,” imaginary, i.e., cashless Bitcoin ^[2].)
