A U.S. health centre has sparked outrage by offering Christmas gift certificates that can be used to pay for an abortion.
The Planned Parenthood clinic says the gift cards can be used for “services” or the recipient’s choice of “birth control method”.
The chain of clinics offer a variety of health services, including birth control and terminations.
(ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW)
The gift certificates, which can be used at almost 100 clinics in the state of Indiana, are being made available at their walk in centres and from a website.
Betty Cockrum, president and chief executive of Planned Parenthood of Indiana, said the programme was started in response to the state’s ailing economy. She said the gift-certificate programme is the first of its kind by any of Planned Parenthood’s clinics.
Cockrum said the certificates, which start at £15, can be used for a wide range of health services on offer at their centres, but admitted abortion was among them.

Shannon, abortion much? Close your legs. I can smell your rotten baby from here.
December 5th, 2008 at 10:40 pm
If you’re living in a brainwashing police state, and unless you’re prepared to raise your kid like Linda Hamilton in ‘Terminator 2′, an abortion would be a mercy killing. Especially if it’s a less-than-three-month-old fetus that isn’t even aware of its own existance.
December 5th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
I would like to buy george bushs mum a retrospective abortion gift certificate, well worth the 50$.
December 6th, 2008 at 11:06 am
In response to the last couple of posters: Matt, God is aware of the baby, and has ordained his or her existence. Shannon, the issue being discussed is about abortion. PP does offer other health services, but the main focus is about the life of an unborn person. Why are you so angry about saving lives?
Don’t they deserve to live as you do?
December 6th, 2008 at 11:28 am
matt dude seriously haven’t you watched the videos of the abortions? that three month old will fight and try and avoid the prongs ripping it apart, seriously. watch it for yourself, there’s a lot of documentaries. and any way the argument was dropped, life begins at conception, that’s not an ideology, that fetus is alive, in real life. nobody would claim to know if it’s concious or not. alive is enough. but i’m with you about sparing people from the world as it is. shannon, you must know about planned parenthood, how can you support and defend it. the elite want us and you dead. is it really a good thing that you support them conditionally so that some people might have a little more money (kids are expensive and needy) so they might be a little more comfortable in thier remaining years before the elites planned parenthood fema-for-grownups takes thier life?

I’m not sure there’s anything conspiritorial about this article. It’s creepy for sure, but it seems a bit incongrous considering the level of other material on this site. It seems like an emotional ploy to me. You know, got nothing for articles so dredge up some controversial news item to keep the mouths frothing. #10 you might be going somewhere with that but the finish line looks a little hazy. Take it a little further.

Thank you for calling Indiana Women’s Clinic, you rape ‘em we scrape ‘em. No fetus can beat us.
America is going down the tubes faster than it’s money and stock exchanges.
Gift cards for abortions. JESUS H.C. what will happen next?
December 6th, 2008 at 7:07 pm
Just cuz we all have reproductive capabilities doesn’t mean everyone should use them. There are a lot of people who have no business being parents. Most are retards birthing more retards. But these gift cards can also be used for STD and HIV tests. Birth control.

Planned Parenthood is a clinic that provides birth control and disease control for many women. With out it, women would be unable to control their reproductive freedoms. an idea that is unlawful to idiots like Alex. I have to wonder if his Police State documentary applies to women or just men in America. oh by the way Ventura in his pre election speech in Mn told his supporters that he believed in Women rights to reproductive freedoms, I wonder what ALex thinks of his ole bud Jesse now? Will Ventura be a man and admit this to Jones, Don’t be a coward Jesse.
