Two new Bin Laden theories from the non-US media.
We don’t present them as necessarily credible, but it’s still good to know what’s being said elsewhere.
First, from Al-Arabiya, Bin Laden’s daughter reportedly told officials that Bin Laden was actually captured and taken away unharmed, and then shot later.
And then a totally different version of events in The Nation PK:
…his body guard killed him to save him from arrested alive, a Pakistani television quoted sources as saying on Tuesday. It said that the officials, who reached the compound after the operation, said they had not found any signs of resistance at any place in the compound. The official said signs indicate that Osama was shot in the head from a close range.
Meanwhile, the White House keeps taking flak for not keeping its story straight, while the world eagerly awaits gruesome photos.
And for the story of the team that really got Bin Laden, see here.
