Liberal groups squawking about bigotry from “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson should really be crying foul over an Obamacare-pushing video that panders to the some of the worst stereotypes about gay life.
Or maybe it’s what Pajama Boy dreams of when he finishes that hot cocoa.
In a news release Sunday, the conservative gay group the Log Cabin Republicans said the video by the gay Obamacare group Out2Enroll was more insulting to gays than anything “Duck Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson said.
“This cynical ad betrays the depths Obamacare advocates will sink to in order to pad their pathetic enrollment numbers,” Log Cabin Republicans Executive Director Gregory T. Angelo said in a statement.
“This ad is also an example of the left promoting harmful stereotypes that gay men are nothing more than sex-crazed lechers.”
That sums it up pretty well. Imagine if some subgroup of the NAACP had made a video of black youths carjacking, welfare-frauding and knockout-gaming their way into an Obamacare navigator’s office, and you’d be pretty close to how this video of nancy boys prancing around in gay apparel would come off as a depiction of the homosexual community.
And the Log Cabin Republicans think it’s disgusting.
“If anyone on the right made such a comparison, liberals would be apoplectic,” Angelo said in the statement. “At a time when left-wing propagandists are decrying Duck Dynasty‘s Phil Robertson for equating homosexuality with promiscuity and deviance, Out2Enroll and others should take a look in the mirror and ask if the truth is that they are the ones responsible for promoting such harmful stereotypes.
“As a self-proclaimed ‘fierce advocate’ of gay equality, President Obama would do well to distance himself from this nonsense and denounce it immediately.”
Fat chance that’ll happen.
First, the president is in Hawaii for the holidays – probably still trying to make up for that Danish prime minister business at Nelson Mandela’s funeral.
Second, Out2Enroll is a collaboration of the gay group Sellers Dorsey Foundation, the non-profit heavyweight Federal Agencies Project and the arch-libs at the Center for American Progress. In other words, it’s a certified member of the Obamacare propaganda ministry.
And these are the people running the show in the Obama Democratic Party.
You can see the video. A word of warning, though, it’s not for the faint of heart. The song is a bastardized version of “Let It Snow,” but it might as well have been “Let It Show.”
If you don’t want to watch now, don’t worry. It might be on A&E in 2014.
