A new collection of high heels for babies has gone on sale, created for infants aged up to six months.
In fuchsia pvc, leopard and zebra print, the replica adult heels are described by the makers as ‘sassy heels’ for babies.
The designers say they had ‘fun, hilarity and glamour’ in mind when they created the shoes, and are marketing the shoes as a first high heel for baby girls.
Priced at £19.99 they are clearly designed to look exactly like a pair of shoes worn by adult women.

But mothers who have seen the shoes are horrified by the effect they could have on their babies.
Katharine Fey, 32, mother of an eight-month-old baby, was disgusted at the thought that mothers could buy them for their children.
“These shoes are completely inappropriate and unnecessary for babies,” she said. “Infants have very soft bones at that age and their feet are still growing. They shouldn’t be wearing shoes anyway, let alone something this overtly sexual.”
