US Congressman Ron Paul says the United States is in Georgia not for democracy but to protect an oil pipeline bypassing Russia.
“We are not for democracy there – we are there to protect a pipeline. And that is tragic for me,” he said.
The remarks came as the US Senate Committee on Armed Services held a hearing to cast Moscow as an aggressor in the 5-day conflict in the Caucasus region but a rift among the members hampered decision making.

Another US congressman has accused Georgia of triggering the conflict despite the Bush administration’s taking side with Tbilisi.
“The recent fighting in Georgia and its breakaway region was started by Georgia. The Georgians broke the truce, not the Russians! And no talk of provocation can change that fact,” said Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.
Senator Hillary Clinton who attended the session said: “Rather than seeking to isolate them – which I think is not a smart proposal – we should be more strategic. We have to answer for ourselves: Did we embolden the Georgians in any way? Did we send mixed signals to the Russians?”
“For many months my colleagues and Secretary Rice had been telling the Georgians clearly and unequivocally that any military action initiated by them would be a mistake and would lead to a disaster,” Undersecretary of Defense Eric Edelman said during the hearing.
The US is backing the operation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline which pumps crude oil from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean via Georgia and without reliance on Russia.

The dollar (the production and manipulation of) is their only power
They have used it(actual value of 0 since the defeat of the gold standard)to aquire the true wealth of the nation and most of the world
The income tax is an unjust tax on your labor -the only wealth most people control(they use the dollar to put a number on it in there system)
They know the true value of the dollars they produce = 0
Wage slavery is alive and well!
Soon they will open the camps and can lose the facade of the dollar illusion
The only non-violent way to beat the system is to quit playing the dollar game they control
On topic the price of oil indexed to gold has not changed much in recent history -only relative to the devalued dollar(or disillusionment in value there of)
We have seen this shell game play out in many “banana republics” throughout history
The true elite create a fiat currency then trade it for anytghing of wealth -then after they own and control everything of value the currerncy is inflated out of existence
Laughable right? You’re living the dream!

We need more Congressmen like Dr. Paul and Dennis Kucinich to voice dissent. The dark shadowed evil cowers when exposed to light.
We must work towards putting more defenders of liberty like them into office!

Ron Paul could have at least mentioned that Russia is in Georgia for oil pipelines, too.

Ron Paul is brilliant: They are in Georgia for the oil…pipeline! Wow! What a revelation! If he was so brilliant why is he still a Republican? Morality alone would/should have made him distance himself from those criminals…you are known by the company you keep.

You are not known for the company you keep……………well maybe among the retarded everything black or white section of the population. More thoughtful people judge people by their actions alone. Ron Paul knows that while the US is predominantly a 2 party system, he can’t effect change or have any significant impact from the fringes. Also Paul was a Republican before the party morphed into the Brownshirt Nazi Party of America. The man has more integrity than all the other politicians put together.
I feel sorry for people who honestly believe the Democrats will save America. They wont…..neither will the Republicans. Both parties bow to powerful Jewish interests. Both parties are rife with Zionist Jews. Just look into the Pentagon missing trillions and who is ultimately responsible. Who was managing the money and accounting for it. Then dig into that mans beliefs and loyalties. It should be a concern for every American.
PS I am not a US citizen. I have no political affiliation and have never voted, mainly because the choice has always been a douche or a turd. just like in the South Park episode.

I think Ron Paul said it best. He was elected a Republican and it is not right to switch in the middle of his term. If he runs again I bet its a different platform. Also he called the home bubble crap 3 years ago. I would consider Dr.Paul a brillant man and I wish I could cast me vote for him. I think he realizes if he were to run independet he’d take votes from McCain and make the race uneven. IMHO..
Ron Paul 2008 I FRICKIN WISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
September 17th, 2008 at 8:21 am
bumblebee: Yes, a person is known for their actions…if you stay in the nazi party, what does that say for your ‘actions’. And a person is known for the company they keep…it’s been that way for a long time and your nonsense isn’t going to change that.
September 17th, 2008 at 11:48 am
It’s a shame Dr. Paul had to drop out. Now the sheeple think they have to choose between the lesser of two weasles, O Cain and Mc Bama. Now the only real choice is Chuck Baldwin and the Constitution party.

So thats why Cheney went there to get his greedy pipeline in for His company.
