Pentagon Fears Transitional Terror Attack

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said Wednesday that the United States is vulnerable to attack or other incidents during the presidential transition period and that the military is ready to respond.
“When you go back and look at the number of incidents that have occurred three or four months before an inauguration to about 12 months out, back to the ’50s, it’s pretty staggering the number of major incidents which have occurred in this time frame,” Adm. Michael Mullen said, noting that the danger is compounded by current world conditions.
The Sept. 11 attacks, for example, occurred eight months after President Bush took office, at a time when many key appointments had not been made.
Recent preparations for the transition in the Pentagon were aimed at preventing any attacks, and if an attack or incident does take place, the military is ready to respond, Adm. Mullen told Sara A. Carter, national security reporter for The Washington Times.

Shifts from old to new administrations are “always a challenging time in our country, always have been,” Adm. Mullen said.
“Transitions are always difficult,” he said. “We’ve put a lot of effort into it, and we’re ready.”
The chairman said he is concerned about the transition because of the global threats and opportunities facing the United States at the present time, namely in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“I consider this a time of vulnerability, and I’ve worked this for months to have a transition team prepare for a new administration, mindful that this new administration, they don’t take charge until the 20th of January,” Adm. Mullen said.
The four-star admiral, who is the designated chief military adviser, stated that the military serves “one commander in chief always” while at the same time he will be going to “great lengths” to respond to the Obama transition team.

sure, alex makes money off his site, but how much money does it take to run? and if he was soo rich, why would he bother still having his show? you make yourself so transparent, thank you… But in reguards to the topic, … Why is Bush taking soo much time and effort to tell barrack and the world that he wants to “make the transition a smoothe one” ? seems kinda weird to me… what do you guys think?

SheepFollowAlex, I read your entire post, and though I’ve followed prison planet for quite some time, I have to agree with a lot of the things you’re saying. Just as the government uses fear to push its agenda, ironically, Alex also uses fear in order to profit. I was a member of his site and at the time the forum he has had over 8,000 members, you have to be a paying member to access this forum so it means Alex is making at least $30,000 to $40,000 per month just off of memberships.
I don’t mean to sound like I’m hating acting jealous of Jones, he is a successful businessman and a charismatic person. At times he can be really entertaining, and at other times he can be abnoxious, which he himself admits. But coming to prisoplanet and educating myself by reading all the information here has empowered my life. It was from Alex Jones that I learned about the importance of investing in precious metals to bypass government inflation, and I have benefited handsomely from that advice. Understanding the NWO is critical to being successful in life, and the truth movement has helped and inspired me.
My best advice to everyone is to get your info from multiple sources. I’ve checked out a lot of what Alex talks about and at least 97% is quite accurate. Instead of just watching his films, I would suggest reading books from a lot of different authors, and be willing to listen to those who disagree with Jones in order to get a balanced view of things.
My advice to Alex is to not toot his own horn so much and don’t interrupt people so much during interviews. Even when he knows someone is wrong, Alex doesn’t have to wipe the floor with them vocally, I would be much more impressed if Alex was able to calmly and eloquently explain why the other side is wrong.

I’m not gonna lie when i was doing nothing but researching and listening to the alex jones show every day, i began to feel more and more helpless. I Don’t think alex jones is CIA or some kind of double agent spook trying to get the people to follow his agenda.lol. I think he’s a good guy, with a good idea. tell people the truth about everything, try to uncover the secrets our government has tried to cover up, but he is a bit harsh and pretty strong headed. but his show and all of this does suck you into the point were your no better then the sheeple, instead of questioning nothing you start to fear everything…well I have hope for tomorrow, I have hope that God is good and everything will work at in the way it is supposed to.

Who needs terrorists when Paulsons running the economy. The guys a crook and its also possible money is not his real objective which worries me more. Obamas tax plan is going to accelerate our already decaying economy. It can already be seen and he’s not even president yet. People are getting laid off all over as the business owners try to balance their books in preparation of the tax increase.
