Over the coming days a curiously revealing event will be taking place in Copenhagen. Top of the agenda at a meeting of the Polar Bear Specialist Group (set up under the International Union for the Conservation of Nature/Species Survival Commission) will be the need to produce a suitably scary report on how polar bears are being threatened with extinction by man-made global warming.
This is one of a steady drizzle of events planned to stoke up alarm in the run-up to the UN’s major conference on climate change in Copenhagen next December. But one of the world’s leading experts on polar bears has been told to stay away from this week’s meeting, specifically because his views on global warming do not accord with those of the rest of the group.
Dr Mitchell Taylor has been researching the status and management of polar bears in Canada and around the Arctic Circle for 30 years, as both an academic and a government employee. More than once since 2006 he has made headlines by insisting that polar bear numbers, far from decreasing, are much higher than they were 30 years ago. Of the 19 different bear populations, almost all are increasing or at optimum levels, only two have for local reasons modestly declined.

Bravo for Taylor who is a real actual scientist is sticking to his guns instead of bowing to pressure to write a politically correct report.
There are still a few like him but unfortunately most are too addicted to sucking at the federal teat and will say whatever it takes to get them more grants.

What is threatening Polar bears is not Global Warming, but chemicals that are mutating their sex organs. I wonder who does that? Can you say big companies that actually can pollute on large scale with chemicals capable of mutating organisms?

Oh definitely! And not only them! DOW, DuPonte, Baxter, and many more. Plus pharmaceutical companies. There was actually a good documentary on Polar bears and they said that is their threat, the chemicals. The female polar bears were growing almost a male part because of the chemicals they injest from their food.

but yet in section 711 page 530 in the 1092 page version it lists the greenhouse gasses.
carbon monoxide is not on the list so therefore cars dont pollute and this bill is unneseccary

This is an ingenious way to harness the natural concern a lot of people have for animals, misleading them by threatening the existence of the animals themselves with dubious evidence to support their claim at best, outright lying at worst.
As Mitchell Taylor, a real scientist, has found out “his views ‘are extremely unhelpful’” because they are already planning on outright lying.

This may sound odd, but the reason why certain populations of Polar Bears are declining, is because they are in conditions that are “flourishing”. Polar Bear births are at an all time high and due to “overpopulation” of bears, the food sources they are accustom to are being depleted. NOT because of global warming, but because more bears are eating, thus less food. So..any starvation that is going on is NOT because global warming is causing a lack of food….the lack of food is coming because there are SO MANY bears. And…I defy anyone to show statistics of bear deaths by “drowning” due to ice melting, leaving them stranded on a piece of ice in the middle of nowhere. Bears LIVE in the water…not just on land. They are perfectly capable of swimming for hundreds of miles. Any studies to the contrary are either fabricated or skewed toward the interests and agendas of those who want us to believe their “official” stories of climate change destruction.

Let’s assume that Alex is right when he suggests chem-trails are made to increase global warming in order to make a carbon tax more acceptable. As the tax is implemented the chem-trails would be slowly reduced and the earth would continue with it’s natural current cooling period. The elite can say “look the carbon tax is working!”

Mitchell Taylor retired. The working group is for people who are active in research at the moment in the five nations that have polar bears.
Additionally, Dr. Taylor’s term on the Polar Bear Study Group (PBSG) was up. Researchers are appointed by their nations for limited terms — when the terms are up, someone else is appointed.
So, under the normal research rules and the rules of this group which Dr. Taylor helped write, Dr. Taylor should not have been at the PBSG this year.
The article you posted is wrong, dead wrong on the facts. Shame on you for getting the story exactly wrong, and for impugning the work of great researchers.
