Two local police agencies are stepping farther into the digital age, and they need your help.
It’s time to pull out your cell phones, smart phones and BlackBerries or log onto the Internet and become a crime fighter in Henderson County.
Henderson County Sheriff Rick Davis and Hendersonville Police Chief Herbert Blake announced Wednesday morning that cell phone users across the county can now text anonymous crime-fighting tips to local law enforcers. In addition to the texting feature, Internet users can also send anonymous tips online.

“This is a huge leap forward for crime solving,” Davis said.
“It is the chief who made this possible and came up with this joint venture.”
