  • Police drag protesters away from Palin motorcade

    Tuesday, Oct 21, 2008

Protesters tried to block the motorcade of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in Grand Junction, Colorado, on Monday, but police dragged them out of the way.

The incident — just feet from the car carrying Palin — was captured on video by CNN affiliate KKCO-TV.

Eight to 10 protesters broke away from a larger group of demonstrators and darted into the street in front of Palin’s car just after the first police motorcycles in her motorcade had passed, said Acting Chief Troy Smith of the Grand Junction Police Department.

Wearing bandanas and with their faces covered, the protesters blocked the path and held up a large banner. Officers stopped their motorcycles, grabbed the protesters and dragged several out of the path of the oncoming motorcade.

At least two demonstrators were tackled and forced to the ground before being pulled away. One officer fell backwards into the path of an approaching vehicle but he was able to get out of the way in time.

Wow! I used to live in Grand Junction up until the end of July this year. I missed all the excitement! Grand Junction is a beautiful place surrounded by beauty. I highly recommend a visit.

    2. rs Says:

I’m all for protesting but these guys got out of hand, if a vehicle hit them they would be a big lawsuit & the police would be charged for not keeping them safe. That is just plain dumb running in front of a motorcade…..they got what they had coming……..

    3. JoKeR3889 Says:

Dumb ass protesters ! If your an idiot enough to stand in the middle of the street while speeding cars go by then you deserve to be thrown to the ground i agree with rs if the police had’nt done anything the would be sued .By all means protest ,dont stand in the middle of the street though.Duh!

    4. KevinAbt Says:

rs and Joke: Police have no legal obligation to enforce the law or protect anyone. The courts have ruled on this repeatedly and definitively. Their only punishment would be administrative (if the police chief didn’t like how they had acted) if there even was any.

    5. s.bonn Says:

I don’t know about you but i don’t need the police keeping me safe.I got a Remington 870 pump shotgun to pull my own security.

    6. Paul Battis Says:

Why are some of you talking about law suits. These protestors showed major nut-sack. A little more spirit like those folks had and we might have saved this country. You fucking pussys go on about law suits? Go wank off you fucking cowards. Fuck you. Protesters. . .nice work, way to risk you own ass to make a point. That is what it’s all about right you fucking lame ass dick-shits.

    7. Johnny Seven Says:

Fucking cops! They will have to learn the hard way…

    8. flintlock Says:

well stated number 6, MAJOR BALLZ, are you limp wristed cowards are going to be whining about tactics when swat or UN forces come knocking on the door, STANDING OVATION to those who actually risk getting arrested, killed, wounded, in the name of freedom, fuck these are desperate times folks, wake the fuck up and remember we are all dead men and women walking, so act accordingly, when my day comes to stand up for what i believe in I wont be so nice, molotovs away!

    9. dRapNOid Says:

And Palin says, “Golly geee, I now have experience in the trenches of urban warfare.”

    10. ItsMike Says:

Oh yea, making her ten minutes late for her hair appointment is really going to show those neocons in Washington that we mena business. Great job you dumb-asses!

    11. JoKeR3889 Says:

Ohhhh , right sorry .I guess what I meant to say was fuck the police, and I hope those protesters get ran over .We should all get up from our chairs here to leep in front of speeding cars ,cause that way the N.W.O will get the point were trying to make.Prove me wrong (KevinAbt ,Paul Battis ,flintlock ) grab a camera ,get off your ass and show me how big your balls are .Be a man ,Get yourself killed ,we’ll all remember this as the day (KevinAbt ,Paul Battis ,flintlock ) took a stand as road kill and fought the new world order .Or we could just stick to proven methods at fighting these people I don’t know like ,exposure, documentaries, word of mouth, books, internet, web sites, flyers, phone calls, stocking up on food and water, buying guns and ammo, buying gold. But i guess that would be completely ridiculous so i’ll just go and jump in front of a car.

    12. bawuismad Says:

Cops have absolutely no obligation to protect people from danger. I am sure that these people would have loved to have died for their liberty and didn’t think twice about it. Had these people been struck by the motorcade it would have shown the United States government for what it is; cold, brutal and full of cowards. If Palin was a true leader she would be meeting with anyone not matter what political affiliation. All these people wanted was respect from their “civil servants”, not to be accused of creating mischief for mischief’s sake.

    13. "C" Says:

..get real here..as Palin is a STAR on SNL= HOLLYWOOD..
      ..our culture is DONE!
..SNL= the New Politics of Madison Ave.
..how easy we the people forget; when Clinton was on MTV; and talking about his “Underwear?”
..look and see! McCain picked Palin for more “Sexual confusion!”
..oh! do not stop the new Marylin Monroe!
( americans had better get their heads out of the BEDROOM..in bed we fall asleep! WAKE-UP!)

    14. Robert Says:

Therefore why can’t police routinely drag protesters wherever they want, like to jail?

Maybe they should have stayed in the “free speech zone.” Oh wait, that used to be THE WHOLE COUNTRY.

    15. swan Says:

I too hated the vulgar way Governor Palin allowed herself to be treated in a sketch in which she willingly appeared on SNL. Just like when Al Gore allowed himself to be used on SNL, which was also totally inappropriate. It is like there is now two groups running the USA, the mafia and Hollywood, and both totally Zionist controlled.

    16. alex hidel Says:

I agree, the cops saved them from a NWO hit & run. They know it would be filed under a human sacrifice for Gia & Molech the OWL.

I hate to be a cop on election/Inauguration day when McBush steals 10 states and Fix News announces the winner first
