Police Get “Pre-emptive” Arrest Powers Ahead Of Copenhagen

The Danish parliament today passed legislation which will give police sweeping powers of “pre-emptive” arrest and extend custodial sentences for acts of civil disobedience. The “deeply worrying” law comes ahead of the UN climate talks which start on 7 December and are expected to attract thousands of activists from next week.
Under the new powers, Danish police will be able to detain people for up to 12 hours whom they suspect might break the law in the near future. Protesters could also be jailed for 40 days under the hurriedly drafted legislation dubbed by activists as the “turmoil and riot” law. The law was first announced on 18 October.
The Danish ministry of justice said that the new powers of “pre-emptive” detention would increase from 6 to 12 hours and apply to international activists. If protesters are charged with hindering the police, the penalty will increase from a fine to 40 days in prison. Protesters can also be fined an increased amount of 5,000 krona (671 Euros) for breach of the peace, disorderly behaviour and remaining after the police have broken up a demonstration.

The Danish police also separately issued a statement in August (pdf) applying new rules and regulations for protests at the climate conference, warning that “gatherings that may disturb the public order must not take place”.
Earlier this month, the Guardian published a letter by environmental activists that described the new law as “deeply worrying” and called for the Danish government to uphold their right to legitimate protest.
Tannie Nyboe, a spokewoman from campaigning group Climate Justice Action in Denmark, said the new law was designed to control civil disobedience during the summit. “These laws are a big restraint in people’s freedom of speech and it will increase the police repression for anyone coming to Copenhagen to protest. Denmark normally boasts of how open and democratic a country we are. With this law we can’t boast about this anymore.

The irony of this legislation is that the Danish parliament and the police do NOT anticipate trouble or civil disobedience from people who are aware that man-made global warming is a giant scientific-political fraud. No, what they fear are radical leftists and eco-fanatics who believe that the political efforts to prevent Mother Earth from being poisoned by CO2 won’t be nowhere near sufficient to save life on this planet from an oncoming ecological Armageddon.

Look, I understand that the cards are stacked against the good people and that there is a propaganda system set up to take the side of the government and against protestors when s--- like this happens, and I understand that this propaganda system likes to hold on to any violent action any protestor might make to spin s---, justify police action and turn regular folks against you and your cause. I understand that you want to prevent that. But it’s taking those steps to prevent it, walking in the footsteps of the peace leaders you worship when it is clearly not appropriate or helpful to do so, that is what is “playing into their hands”.

I have also written and published over a thousand articles online all about all this s--- that is going down that are highly critical and there have been instances where i have outlined everything that is coming up and provided information and pleaded with others to become active and join the fight against tyranny.

Don’t you see how ridiculous your OP is? What the hell good do you think will come of letting the cops beat the s--- out of everybody and getting it all on tape? You can do a Google search and look at all of the other countless hundreds of cases of police brutality that were recorded in some way and resulted in little to no punishment for the officer. Those swine are rarely if ever held accountable for their actions, and even if they were that has nothing to do with the greater purpose of the protest in the first place! People have tried to do that for YEARS with the hope that it will be a step forward in bringing down the corruption that is destroying us all and every single time they have failed to see that it simply is not working.
So why in the hell would you suggest something so patently ridiculous to someone else to stop the political corruption going on? I’ll beg that question for you: because you don’t care if it helps solve the problem or not, all you care about is keeping people from using violence, a tactic you despise. Why would a place like PrisonPlanet allow the very corrupt forces they’re trying to defeat to intimidate them into censoring themselves? Why wouldn’t they just tell the pigs to go f--- themselves and debate the issue as they see fit? I’ll beg that question for you: because deep down inside, they agree with it and they just want to continue their futile attempts to manipulate people into sympathizing with them while crushing violence, a tactic they despise.

I believe we the people have the right to make these parasites face a people’s grand jury and face justice then serve their time and lose their fortunes. Their fortunes will be used to help free the people and we will also push to expose the black opps and unleash the surpressed ‘free-energy’ and other inventions that will free mankind from these repressive, imbred, un-evolved “children” of mankind. They must be routed out!

I watched the riots on tv today at the WTO meetings. I forgot what city it was in? But it was your basic regular tactics for the super rich WTO crowd. They send in their own goons to break windows and burn cars, while the police shoot rubber bullets and arrest people who had “nothing” to do with the breaking of windows. The WTO’s secret troublemakers are “always” dressed in pullover hats and scarfs covering their face and dressed in black. Funny how the people being dragged away in handcuffs are never in those clothes. This is just a warm up practice to the upcoming events in Copenhagen. I say don’t participate in anything the NWO crowd dreams up. Just say no to any new tax, period.

Police officer might break the law while he is on duty. In such case, will he be arrested to prevent his future crime? This law only categorize certain people as the target; activists and the ones on the black list of the government agencies. I hope laws should protect citizens than protect the law enforcement people who might just use the law to increase promotion chance. Police officers can make up a crime by implanting the bombs and drugs in the suspects’ home while the suspects were kept in jail for the investigation.
People are born as guilty and the cops can keep anyone in jail for their own imagination of future crime.

A big show of fascism is needed to scare the public into submission. We hope to gain credibility by a large image of authority at our command. We are using the tool of “learned helplessness”.
