Eye-opening video from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office shows how police helicopters are equipped with data overlay technology which reveals everyone’s home addresses, which they use to pinpoint precisely who is shining a laser pointer at them.
Using night vision they’re able to see the culprit is “probably a little kid.”
Fresno, CA – On the evening of March 7th, members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Air Support Unit were operating E.A.G.L.E. 3, our fixed-wing airplane, on a call for service. While flying over the city of Parlier at an altitude of 5,000 feet, our crew was distracted by a bright green laser light that was repeatedly flashing throughout the cockpit.
