Ventura: Patriots must hold government’s ‘feet to the fire’ or else it goes bad
Nelson: Government should have bailed out family farms, not Wall Street

IN EXCLUSIVE VIDEO, legendary music icon Willie Nelson meets up with former Governor Jesse Ventura and Alex Jones to discuss the implications of the 2008 Election, the effects of widespread economic downturn and lingering questions about 9/11.
(Article continues below)
Gov. Ventura hopes to challenge the ‘horse-race’ voting mentality that has made both parties unresponsive to the people.
“If we break the trend of electing Democrats and Republicans, and start electing independents, we will get out of the problem we’re in,” Ventura told News 8 Austin, urging people to vote their ‘heart’ and ‘conscience’ outside The Backyard, where Willie Nelson performed at the venue’s final event.
Jesse Ventura and Alex Jones addressed the need to dissent against the status quo and reminded those watching online that the First Amendment is meant to protect even unpopular speech. The former Minnesota Governor said people cannot be afraid to criticize the government. He insisted that patriots must ‘hold government’s feet to the fire’– otherwise, bad government will result.
Ventura was a political rarity, as an unexpected independent victor in Minnesota’s 1998 Gubernatorial race, a clear threat to the two-party dictatorship that dominates the political landscape.
Willie Nelson lambasted the government’s corrupt bailout of Wall Street while the traditional family farm continues to erode away in the wake of economic downturn, allowing corporate farming to further dominate.
Last week, the ardent Farm Aid activist challenged Hank Paulson and Ben Bernanke to bailout the family farm, instead.
“I have written a letter as president of Farm Aid to whoever controls that money that we would like to have $1 billion dollars from that 700….$1 billion dollars is I think all we’ll need to turn the economy around if we start out taking care of our family farmers,” Nelson told The Alex Jones Show.
Former Gov. Ventura, Author of ‘Don’t Start the Revolution Without Me’ also joined Alex in the car where he explained the problem with the fact that many government agencies simply refuse to discuss the official 9/11 story.
Ventura criticized government agencies for putting out reports and being unwilling to defend them, and simply refusing to answer any questions.
“If they’re not hiding something– let me put it this way– they’re certainly not cooperative.” If government reports are truthful, Ventura challenges, “then why does the government behave in a manner that makes them look guilty of something and then allows conspiracy theorists the foothold to go with that.”
Governments, Ventura says, simply issue their reports and take no questions from anyone. And that just can’t stand.
Unaccounted government will only lead to greater abuses, which in turn will demand greater resistance on the part of its people. Ventura and Nelson, veteran renegades of the 60s and 70s, say they’ve seen the history cycle through more than once already.
They only hope people now awake to government abuses can stay awake long enough to make a difference this time around.
Both Gov. Ventura and Willie Nelson have appeared on the Alex Jones Show to discuss their doubts about the official 9/11 story, particularly the apparently inconsistent manner in which the Twin Towers and WTC 7 collapsed after two planes struck the World Trade Center on 9/11.

OK, so why not ask all independent thinkers/voters to unite and vote for one particular independent candidate? If we as independent voters cannot unite, real change will never happen!

Andy Roony once suggested in 60 minutes that instead of spending such huge amount of money and time for the Presidentail elections, why not have top 50 Professors of IVY League Universities run the office of the Persident as a team of Think Tank and intellectual contributors. Thes team of 50 can elect the President. That way all these nasty politics could be avoided

hey guys, just a quick note, correct me if I am wrong…
I was under the impression farm aid only gave money to large corporate farms.. and in some instances have been known to pay the small farmers, not to farm….

Yes with Willie Nelson and Jesse Ventura we cant lose. We have to all pull together to fight those monsters.
October 28th, 2008 at 7:42 am
Yes Jace, I have felt for a long time that those non-2 party folks need to unite and present a united front. If all these folks, Barr, McKinney, Baldwin, Nadar, Sheehan, etc., could set aside personal differences and ‘take on’ the establishment and perhaps ‘take over’ the establishment, then we could get back to our social/political differences. The way we’re going now our differences won’t matter at all… they’ll simply disappear.
October 28th, 2008 at 7:44 am
#3 exactly!!Until we unite, quit bickering on non issues, we will not see changes
Not changes we like or can live with anyway

What if the USA had as many political parties as Italy – would there be these Democratic and Republic Conventions? Would special interest groups pay their favourite candidates? If there were hundred’s of candidates contest to become the President of the USA, would the USA be a better place.
The Democrats and the Republicans are two sides of the same coin. Only that candidate will win who looks after the interests of Big Business. The chatter about taxes is just a facade. George Bush sent US soldiers to fight expensive wars, without raising taxes. The US can afford to run without taxing anyone – the multi-billion dollar businesses fund foreign wars because it is in their interests.
But if there several hundred candidates a whole range of issues would be raised which no one is allowed to speak about.

I would vote for Ventura for prez, in a heartbeat! I hope he runs in ‘12. That is if there’s anything left of the US.

Alex can you, or your staff look into (more) military being assigned to “homeland security”I was told by a individual I work with that His buddy (AIRBORNE) was due to be deployed to Iraq, instead he is being sent to N.C., I already know about the 1st infantry brigade-This would be in addition to that….WHAT ARE THEY PLANNING? I have no doubt about Martial Law,But what will the pre-text be “the huge event”? I guess Colin Powell knows, maybe he’ll tell us what it is on the 21st 22nd of january at 10am central time (just kidding about the time)

Nah, I live in the Netherlands, we have like a whole load of parties from the left to right spectrum, but some/most people, even here, think of left and right, and all that. It only fragments a country even more politically, and it’s not that hard for the elites to control. Tried and failed system, sadly. Maybe it also has to do with having a monarchy in place as well, at the same time.
Which passes the question to the next: What system is better for us?
I believe we need to invent a new system, that tries to fully focus on freedom and sovereignty. Eudaimonae (sp.) should be revisited, or something completely new.

My guess is that political protest will mark the next phase of this drama. Almost a Million people have lost their jobs in England alone over the last year. At some point, the feeling of national impotence in the face of monetary rule from Frankfurt will erupt into popular fury. The ECB will swallow its pride and opt for a weak euro policy, or face its own destruction.
What we are about to see is a race to the bottom by the world’s major currencies as each tries to devalue against others in a beggar-thy-neighbor policy to shore up exports.

The current recession is more serious than all previous recessions since the early 1980s. This time inflation, unemployment, and a credit crunch are cutting into demand. Demand, in the economic sense, is the combined desire of consumers to spend and the availability of the cash they need to act on that desire. Recessions with declining demand tend to be self-reinforcing as falling demand leads to falling consumption leading businesses to reduce labor costs by laying off employees, leading to falling incomes and further reductions in demand.

Another unusual aspect of this recession is that traditional Keynesian techniques to stimulate demand by expanding credit through interest rates cuts is hobbled by a moribund housing market; housing has for decades been the primary mechanism for transmitting interest cuts to consumers by reducing a household’s primary interest expense, their mortgage.
Maybe we can just create enough money out of thin air to make this problem go away. Trillions in DEBT. Spend now pay later!

“oil prices can drive down the cost of everything that requires oil to grow, be dug up, blown, packed, scrubbed, crushed, shaken, warmed, cooled, pickled, packaged, processed, or moved – that is, everything on God’s Green Earth including your own hair and the hot water you used to wash it this morning.” The only way to reduce that impact short term is to make oil cheaper for everyone since there NEVER was a shortage of oil to begin with…

We cannot expect to build armoured ships or vehicles, small arms, artillery, armour piercing ammunition, missile guidance, night vision equipment, computers, displays, or, believe it or not, nuclear propulsion systems, or aircraft of any kind, civilian or military, without minor metals, such as the ‘rare earths.’ Most of which we are now, 100%, Dependent on nations unfriendly to America, which, notwithstanding their being unfriendly, already practice resource nationalism. Some of them, such as CHINA, have already openly begun to restrict the export of these materials.

BTW Jesse just wanted to say your right on track with the concept of gathering support. It has been done before, and quite frankly it is the American thing to do in times like these. Call it a modern Paul Revere with the goal of returning to the Constitution as the Rule of the land. I think a Govenorship would be a good foothold, but you have already done that and maybe the bar needs to be raised Higher to the level of president.
Also I agree with anyone who says as they served in the military that they took an oath to the Constitution and also to protect against enemies foreign or “from within”

Testifying before the House Budget Committee this week, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke agreed that homeowners in jeopardy of Foreclosure need help. “I agree that stopping preventable Foreclosures is extremely important,” he said. “I hope we continue to LOOK for ways to do that.”
But so far the government and the businesses BAILED OUT haven’t looked very hard. They’ve done little or NOTHING and it’s every man for himself, devil take the hindmost. In his history of the 1929 market crash, John Kenneth Galbraith wrote, “The sense of responsibility in the financial community for the community as a whole is not small. It is nearly nil.”
In other words, virtually nonexistent, somewhere around zero. In other words, my fellow Americans, look out below. Do not ask for whom the bailout tolls. It tolls for thee

You stupid fucking pricks. The day you fucks are no more will be a great day in history better than the fall of Rome. You Americans are shite on the shoe of every decent human being on this planet. You pricks are allowing your scumbag politicians and their owners to destroy our way of life and you sit idly by twiddling your fucking thumbs while they do. The sooner some nation nukes you out of existence the better. Can’t wait for those fucking “terrorists” lol to fuck you stupid pricks up. You’re nothing. You don’t rule me and you don’t rule the world. The world says fuck you America and good riddance to your diseased ass.

The US Mint has suspended the production of US Eagles. I was told by one dealer this morning, checking with him, they’re telling people delivery dates for silver Eagles won’t be till January, February of next year. One dealer I was talking to said that they can’t even get the plates – so what they were doing is they were ordering thousand ounce bars and they were melting the bars down to make one ounce coins because most people are buying either silver rounds – and I was told delivery dates right now are two months out.

When well known Icons come out against tyranny it stirs that gut feeling in us all that some in the government are actually working for America’s demise. More and more people are waking up to the fact every day. The lame stream corporate media’s lies have back lashed on them, and they know they will be taken down too. Their conspiracy theory of how it happened doesn’t add up to any scientific standard. The peasants as we are called have awoken to their lies that have kept mankind under their control for ages. Our country has silently been destroyed from the inside by traitors who leave the doors open for the raiders. The Republicans and the Democrats are the real axis of evil. We must vote in independents to reverse the sabotage of our Republic governed by the Constitution. More and more people are coming out of the matrix of brainwashing propaganda. Woe is you all traitorous garbage. What are you going to do when when we come for you? Your own military will help annihilate you. Dumbass, you are simply a fly on the windshield. Stay out of our business while we take care of this. Take care of it we will for the whole world’s freedom, even yours, is riding on our success.

Well, for goodness sakes, she cannot be wrong ALL the time!
Many rational people believe that 9/11 was set-up, with players within, and could not have occurred without a true stand-down. Now how did those boxcutters know they would be protected from any Air Force retalation’s as they, or those controlled jets, were so precisely directed into the Twin Towers. Who was hedging their bets on short calls? Why are the neo-cons AFRAID of a real investigation into 9/11?!

That was a great thing to do. They are both in age. You never know what may happen in the future. That was a great idea by Alex Jones to have a meeting of minds, Jessie and Willie.
Keep on the good work Alex. Way to go buddy, I am with you with the fight against the New World Order.
