I think humans are bound to develop a world-state. With that in mind, though, I think humanity is wholly on the wrong path for that world-state to be anything but tyrannical at this time. This I believe mostly for religious reason. Humanity is entranced in Godlessness and materiality -- we want to be God and build heaven on earth. God will not bless any world-state man develops at this time, even if the Pope calls for it. I don't think the Pope has ill-will also. But with Gandolf can we declare that it cannot be used for good?
