The man who many are tipping to become Barack Obama’s running mate is a pro-war, pro-patriot act, Bilderberg member who was an honorary co-chair of the neocon Committee for the Liberation of Iraq, a group that aggressively propagandized for the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Ladies and gentlemen – meet Senator Evan Bayh.
“Top Democratic Party officials are expecting Sen. Barack Obama to select Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh as his running mate as early as midweek,” according to US News and World Report.
So exactly where do the sympathies of the Indiana Senator lie and do they jive with Barack Obama’s proclaimed platitude to be offering “change” in the upcoming presidential election?

According to Wikipedia, “On October 2, 2002, Bayh joined President George W. Bush and Congressional leaders in a Rose Garden ceremony announcing their agreement on the joint resolution authorizing the Iraq War, and was thanked by Bush and Senator John McCain for co-sponsoring the resolution.”
Not only that, but Bayh served as an honorary co-chair of the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq along with John McCain, Obama’s Republican adversary.
As Talking Points Memo notes, “The Committee is a neo-con group that was formed to propagandize the country into war. It boasted such illustrious neocon members as Bill Kristol, former CIA director James Woolsey, and even McCain senior foreign policy adviser and Chalabi-bamboozler Randy Scheunemann.”
In a February 2006 interview with the Washington Post, Bayh “refused, as some of his fellow Senators already had, to renounce his support for the war”.
Bayh also voted for the re-authorization of the USA Patriot Act in 2006.
The Senator is also a keen supporter of the pro-Israel lobby group AIPAC, having previously described his “lifelong affection for the state of Israel” at an AIPAC luncheon.
Bayh has warned that Iran is seeking a nuclear weapon, despite the National Intelligence Estimate having refuted this claim, and the Senator has also introduced sanctions against Iran, repeatedly denouncing the country with heated rhetoric on national television.
Bayh is also a Bilderberg Group kingpin, having not only attended its meeting but also giving a keynote speech at their 1999 confab in Sintra, Portugal.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Bayh is nothing more than another pro-war, pro destruction of the constitution, elitist neocon scumbag. What makes him more dangerous is that he is – just like Obama himself – a wolf in sheep’s clothing, camouflaging himself amidst the mindless rhetoric of “change” while in reality representing nothing more than the status quo.

@Matt: the sad thing is, a violent revolution ISN’T necessary, all it would take is a huge NON-violent movement — like massive walkouts — to force changes. But THAT will never happen either, because everyone’s too afraid of losing their jobs. We have become a population (99.9% of us, anyway) that is completely UN-self-sufficient, and so we have no power. What would the folks who had the Boston Tea Party think of us? They’d be disgusted.

I wrote Evan Bayh in 2002 to warn against using our military in Iraq. He responded after voting for the bill allowing the use of our military in Iraq. Towards the end of his reply, after referencing 9/11, he said, “I voted for the resolution, not because I want war, but because it is our best chance for peace.”

Again, by the time sufficient numbers of people feel compelled to take such “drastic” measures, it will be too late, we will be living in a police state, and dissenters will be dealt with swiftly and mercilessly. I am a resident of Indiana and I wrote Bayh about the second amendment. I told him that I thought that there shouldn’t be more laws banning guns and restricting rights. He wrote me back thanking me for my input but he told me that he would not support any legislation that supports guns.
I sent another message and told him I thought that you were elected by your constituents and that you are supposed to do what we want.
He didn’t reply to that however.
He shouldn’t be in the Senate let alone the VP.

Graeme, Bayh’s not coming out of nowhere, he’s been a senator for a while. He was on the short list for Kerry’s VP in 2004. His father was also a Senator, he ran for President many years ago, but Jimmy Carter got the nomination.

If this is true, that Obama is nothing more than a specter of change, than who can we trust? Who can we extend a hand to in support of real change? How do we find honest leaders? Even if we can, how can we preotect them so that they are able to guide us towards real and hopeful change?

Sounds like an awesome novel. How do we purchase it? Ideas and inspiration can come from anywhere and I would love to read what you have in mind. With the ABSOLUTYFUCKINGNOTHING that the collective American people are doing at the moment maybe you can get dumb-fucks like ole Chris 2 pop wood and get excited about REVOLUTION!
When our nation was being founded certain safeguards were put in place so we could avoid exactly what we are experiencing right now. The only problem is it takes balls and fortitude to enact these protocols and we are short on both at the top levels of government. We are a nation that is governed by cowards, murderers, liars, cheats and thieves. Other that that I think that they are wonderful people. If there were ever a moment for revolution I do believe that it is now. And if you believe that our current leaders will come to our rescue when the roof falls in you need to put your crack pipe down.
We desperately need to step up and take our country back. By ”us” I mean the average Joe and Jill. The consuming taxpayer that calls this place home. The person that would not commit murder, theft, or rape. The human that only wants to live with the stress that just an ordinary day is going to bring our way. You and I. Somewhere we forgot that the government works for us and when a malignant element of government is prevalent we can remove them like a tumor and use the law to do so. If we do not, then what good is law and why have any?
Tolerance, apathy, indifference and fear are the last emotional states you will see in a society that is about to go down in flames.

A foe with the gall needed to do something so blatantly hypocritical and clearly immoral as this nomination, without even bothering to hide it or come up with a plausible explanation of how it could possibly be for real, is a daunting foe indeed. Imagine truly believing in divided political parties, separate in any perceivable way by their actions, policies or rederic. Imagine the suspension of disbelief one must subscribe to in order to challenge and deny the existence of cascading tyranny, unsustainability, injustice as well as growing pockets of enlightenment in our communities thus civilization today. Those that dont see the destructive patterns in behavior, historically and presently, that increasingly strain our existence and hence manipulate our future, will become the minority. It will then be possible to truly effect change as the law of inertia will allow positive movement be maintained and momentum accelerated. We can all facilitate knowledge and wisdom by way of analysis rather than judgment, through openness and caring in a broad spectra. Just as our visions of our shared future evolve, so to can the structures that control our actions and intentions. A time will come when collective desire and capability can coincide with necessity and reveal optimistic, momentous changes; attainable but not without grand struggles.

US government and Mass Media propaganda promote a climate in which the actions and activities of US troops abroad are regarded as beyond reproach, but there is nothing noble or ‘heroic’ about unprovoked military aggression and genocide against vulnerable and innocent foreign populations.

Bush, Jeb, Neil, and Marvin Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condaleezza Rice, Karl Rove, Wolfowitz, Perle, Powell, Armitage, Ashcroft, Abrams, Adelman, Feith, Bolton, Libby, Kissinger, Mueller, Tenet, Goss, Giuliani, Hayden, Chertoff, Baker, and many hundreds of other individuals working for the White House, CIA, FBI, FEMA, the Pentagon, NSA, NORAD, the airline industry, and the US news media together planned and executed the 9/11 attacks. All of the above-named and their accomplices need to be tried for Treason and Mass
Murder, with the death penalty as the just and very necessary reward for their conviction of those crimes.
We need a Nuremberg-style trial for Treason and Mass Murder for all of the members of the US government, the US military, the US intelligence agencies, and their civilian accomplices in the airline industry and the news media who participated in the murderous crimes of 9/11. The death penalty should be applied to all of the principals and their accomplices, even if that means executing several hundred or even several thousand people, because crimes of this magnitude against the American people and the US Republic cannot go unpunished, and the punishment must be extreme to send a message that the American people will not tolerate such Treason — not now or in the future. If allowed
to remain unpunished and at liberty, these individuals represent a grave threat to the safety and security of all Americans. If convicted of the heinous crimes of 9/11, the death penalty is the only way to ensure that they or their allies will not somehow manage to attack America and Americans again. The executions should be performed in public and be internationally televized for the entire world to witness.
I do realize that there are some very worthy reasons to oppose capital punishment in many situations. However, it is also quite apparent to me that any show of clemency that might be given to the US government perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks leaves open the possibility that they and their sympathizers could revive their subversion of American democracy and their violence toward peace-loving Americans. That is why I advocate a policy of capital punishment without any consideration of mercy, plea-bargaining, or probation for the US government perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks and their allies.
No one in or out of the US government should be exempt from
prosecution and capital punishment for the Treasonous attacks of 9/11. The planners and participants in the 9/11 attacks within the US government and their accomplices must not be allowed to protect themselves behind the specious excuse of “National Security.” The true security and survival of our US Republic depends entirely on this.

On Today’s Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer on CNN (Sunday 8/24/2008 around 11:30 am) Teryy McAuliffe was speaking about the Obama-Biden ticket and he stopped short when he said they were the best pair to bring us into the New World – then he stopped and began to speak about mundane political issues. He had a look of concern on his face and it seemed like someone in the back ground was speaking to him because he kept saying “mmm…” and “ok” while there was nothing for him to be replying to at the time “on” tv.
