Raw Story

Impeach for Peace, a Minnesota-based group which plans to demonstrate at the upcoming Republican National Convention at St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center, has sued for space to demonstrate within sight and hearing of convention attendees.
Backed by the ACLU, the group calls the designated spaces to demonstrate “inadequate and unacceptably small,” and too far from the venue to allow for free speech to be effectively executed.
The City Council and police also denied Impeach for Peace their due process, such as a window for public comment and public hearing, by not giving notice of the restrictions to be placed on demonstrators, the suit alleges. In addition, the city has reserved the right to change its guidelines at any time in ways that the ACLU contends violates the Minnesota State Constitution.

Hey Brian, join the other neocon morons who ignore the following facts (if you can read that is): The War Crimes Act of 1996: Bush, Cheney and the Boys could be Indicted under US Law – The War Crimes Act of 1996, a federal statute set forth at 18 U.S.C. § 2441, makes it a federal crime for any U.S. national, whether military or civilian, to violate the Geneva Convention by engaging in murder, torture, or inhuman treatment.
The statute applies not only to those who carry out the acts, but also to those who ORDER IT, know about it, or fail to take steps to stop it. The statute applies to everyone, no matter how high and mighty.
18 U.S.C. § 2441 has no statute of limitations, which means that a war crimes complaint can be filed at any time.
Seems these clowns are already guilty of war crimes; we only lack someone to bring them to justice. Once they are out of office, maybe poetic justice will pay them a visit, or maybe the relative of someone they slaughtered will throw them a sisal party! Seems most the tyrants of history have already met really bad endings.

Brian, Brian, Brian…………..I know there are still people like you out there. That’s exactly who we are trying to educate. There is no more free speech. Where do you live, under a rock ? And what are you talking about “our way of life” ? Don’t you see what’s going on here ? Do you understand that just the fact that people have to sue for free speech that means there is no free speech. The fact that they are being sent blocks away to express their freedom of speech is wrong. Can you see that ?
You are right about one thing…….ALL of America was and should again be a free speech zone.
