Proposed Law Allows AG Holder to Block Gun Sales to Over a Million Americans
New Jersey Democrat senator Frank R. Lautenberg plans to introduce legislation designed to cancel the Second Amend rights of well over a million U.S. citizens this coming week, according to the New York Times. “Mr. Lautenberg plans to introduce legislation on Monday that would give the attorney general the discretion to block gun sales to people on terror watch lists,” the newspaper reports.

Lautenberg is a notorious gun-grabber. He introduced a similar measure in 2007.
Lautenberg’s action comes in the wake of statistics compiled by the Government Accountability Office drawing attention to an “odd divergence” in federal law that allows erroneously designated terrorists to exercise their Second Amendment right to bear arms but prevents them from getting on a plane or getting a visa.
The Inspector General of the Justice Department reported that the Terrorist Screening Center — the FBI-administered organization that consolidates terrorist watch list information in the United States — had over 700,000 names in its database as of April 2007 and that the list was growing by an average of over 20,000 records per month, according to the ACLU. In March of this year the list hit the one million mark, a 32% increase from 2007.
The actual number may far exceed one million entries. The FBI says the number of names on its terrorist watch list is classified. In addition to the National Counterterrorism Center watch list, the FBI keeps a list of persons said to be domestic terrorists, according to ABC News.
Lautenberg said he was frustrated by an FBI refusal to disclose to investigators details and specific cases of gun purchases beyond the aggregate data included in the GAO report, the Times notes.
Earlier this year, a Department of Homeland Security report on “rightwing extremism” designated advocates of the Second Amendment, pro-life and anti-illegal immigration activists, and returning veterans as “terrorists.” It is not known if members of these groups are on the so-called terrorist watch list, although it is a fair assumption to conclude they are.
On May 15, 2007, then Illinois representative Rahm Emanuel, speaking at the annual Stand Up For a Safe America event sponsored by the gun-grabbing Brady Center, said that if your name appears on the bloated and error-ridden terror watch list your Second Amendment right should be denied (Emanuel’s comments are included in the Alex Jones clip below).
Obama chief of staff Emanuel’s promise may soon carry the force of law if Lautenberg’s proposed law makes it through Congress. According to the New York Times, however, the Justice Department is “noncommittal” about whether it would develop guidelines if Congress moved to give the attorney general discretion to block gun sales.
Lautenberg’s proposed bill is one of several now working their way through the labyrinth of Congress. On April 29, with little fanfare or corporate media coverage, H.R. 2159 was introduced and referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary. The bill would “increase public safety by permitting the Attorney General to deny the transfer of a firearm or the issuance of firearms or explosives licenses to a known or suspected dangerous terrorist.” Another bill, H.R. 1022, sponsored by New York Democrat Carolyn McCarthy and 67 co-sponsors, would provide AG Holder with the ability to ban guns at will.
Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, told WorldNetDaily that H.R. 2159 will be used in conjunction with the DHS “Rightwing Extremism” report. “By those standards, I’m one of [DHS Secretary] Janet Napolitano’s terrorists,” Pratt said. “This bill would enable the attorney general to put all of the people who voted against Obama on no-gun lists, because according to the DHS, they’re all potential terrorists.”
Lautenberg’s proposed bill would go one step further and allow Holder to deny the Second Amendment to officially designated enemies of the state.

Rahm Emamuel has taken a stance for a safer america. why cant you understand kool pres Obamas new world plans? No wars, no guns, free health care and cheap mortgages. He is perfectly transparent. As you know i operate a youth learning camp in CA teaching caring and sharing for the children of our guest immigrant workers. Because of all this hate talk, soon to be illegal, we are putting up an electric fence to keep our youth campers safe from gun owners. we are also just finishing construction of several dorminatories so that our students can live on campus and are safe from dangerous gun totating advocates. Parents will be welcome for visits on the weekend with teacher escorts. This is for the safe education of your childrens and our childrens. WE also have a data base of digitzed books so we do not have to have the expense of a library and can add or delete curriculum as needed. Books are not needed anymore. Now this is change you can believe in. so get on board and do not be so negative.

Even the cities, though I live in the country, are great places to hide. It’s not like our cities don’t heve it’s own kind of jungle to hide in. Any soldier who would agree to follow those kind of orders are traitors. These are unlawful orders and they are duty-bound to dis-obey them. I suppose the officers at least, still know this. Even if they don’t, they should. We are still probably a year away from such actions. The more you wake up now, the less of us will have to fight alone. As it is now, lone wolf actions would be the only kinds that would make since as our numbers would be so few. I hope that we will be able to form up as an army by the time we find violent revolution the only alternative.

Fight them on your terms in the time and place of your choosing under conditions you can control. This is how the NVA and VC operated. I saw firsthand how effective that strategy can be when properly executed.

It doesn’t matter on this. There are already over 300 million guns in the US. I think there are more than that actually, but that is enough. Plus, after shit hits the fan, just think of all the unregistered military weapons that people will have. That will make any regulations they decide to install in the near future (20 years) moot. This, combined with the FED legislation going through, just might be enough to push the citizens over the edge. Personally, I think that it is going to be when the FED makes it’s moves obvious to the general public that it is stealing their livelihoods that we shall rise up. Lone wolf actions rule!

That’s if you cooperate and let yourself get into their sight. In reality then US military would have zero chance of winning in the long run. Same is true for the Tidy bowl blue helmet guys, of we keep ouir heads straight, prepare and fight under our terms they have no chance. Plus half the military would desert before firing on US citizens and at least 20% would frag the officers giving those orders.

Blackwater is definitely the big threat. There are already a ton of them operating in the US. Apparantly the army/marines in Northcom already know they would be called upon to shoot us. Unfortunately, I know there are those elements that would have no problem doing so, and they are the ones stationed here. Of course, I would have no problem shooting traitors or Blackwater. Either one is okay with me. This may be the first just war we’ve had since the Revolutionary War. And possibly more just than that one.

I think they should uphold the rule of law and govern by the rules set forth by the United States Constitution, as they swore they would with their oaths of office.
Back in the sixties the government came into the schools and brainwashed us with the idea we needed to control the population because it was rising so fast. They said the roads would become crowded and we would run out of things like water.
They unleashed abortions, birth control pills, and other forms of Family Planning.
To allow the country to be over run with the criminals in businesses illegal labor while the criminals in the government aid and abet the invasion is a travesty against mankind.
They have seen to it our children were killed to control the population at the same time allowing the world to export their population problems here.
What about our sacrifices, many made against our will?

OK, so the terror watch list is secret and has millions? of names. First we take the guns away from them, we say they can’t fly or travel, can’t pass a security check. What next? They won’t be able to have a business, go to school, collect social security, can’t run for any office. Is the no-fly terror watch list really the purge list of people that are immediately arrested if martial law is officially proclaimed? Will the terror watch list grow to many more millions as it morphs into the dissident list? When will have to wear colored armbands or be shot on sight? Does any of this sound like what Hitler did? It IS what Hitler did! Give it a different name like no fly list but it’s the same. Hitler did away with 20 million this same way. All those local alphabet soup offices around the country must be adding names daily to the terror list. These are the people that are labeled terrorists (protestors and dissidents) that are labeled “enemies of the state”. Yea it’s the terror watch list (always use the phony name until the last minute) but make no mistake about it, it’s the list of “enemies of the state list” and we all know what happens to those people when the govt grabs total control and does a purge. I’m not saying this will happen for sure, but it sure looks that way. The worst part is that you could be on the list for no reason other than someone fingered you for personal reasons or whatever.

There is no administrative due process for being placed on the secret list, nor any due process for getting off the list. So a law is to be enacted which is based on an unconstitutional procedure to deny a constitutional right?

Personally, I think this is good news. It drives the point home that the government wants to disarm any possible opposition. Alongside the banking “reform” legislation it paves the way to really upset the population. And for those who think the soldiers will just shoot you as if you have no say in the matter, I do have a say as long as I have a gun. If just 1 out of a 100 houses fight back when they do come for the guns, they cannot win. Just one out of a hundred. Think about it.

Guns aren’t needed — its a pity that the authoritarian forces in Gulag Amerika aren’t disarmed too. If the shit really hits the fan then there are commonly available ingredients for C4 and plastique in the supermarkets or your own laundries. Blow up the power stations and crash the communication systems, without electricity they’re screwed even if they do have guns. Any society that is wholly reliant on electricity and computers is very vulnerable. How many people need to murdered before people realise guns are a social menace. By themselves, guns don’t kill anyone BUT put one in the hands of a psycho (civilian or cop) and it’s a recipe for disaster.

Well, looks like America has a choice, Soviet style gun confiscation and government brutality or a simple solution.
Anyone in govment like Lautenberg proposing such laws are then dispatched. Only a couple would need to go then the rest will be too afraid to counter such resistance.

People have to get together, plan and if possible converge on DC in numbers and demend people get out of office just as the Veterens did in the forties when the Politicians tried to take the GI BILL and their MEDICAL coverage away when they were wonded in the war. If the Iranians can do it then why can’t the people of this nation? GROW A PAIR. I wrote to McCain a nasty letter telling him I have lost all respect for him after he said Obama has done a good job in his first five months as POTUS. I reminded him that Obama has spit and stomped on THE CONSTITUTION, THE FLAG AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE and I added I will never support another Republican or the Party until someone grows a pair and stands up for the CONSTITUTION AND THE REPUBLIC.
