I can’t tell where this is taking place for sure, but it looks like New York City. The cops there used to pretty decent, before 9/11. They were afraid to step to far out of line with civilians and they had a civilian review board that actually kept tab of complaints. Too many civilian complaints and you’d get a reprimand. They used to keep track of every bullet fired, too – but since that Bell shooting in Queens (plainclothesed “officers” in a strip club – probably assaulting women or propositioning them because that’s what those pigs do – shooting up innocent people!) things have obviously changd. The cops used to leave the dancers alone, too. I used to be a dancer in NYC and the worst problem I ever had with a cops was they wanted to help you cross the street or hail a cab in hopes of getting a date. Really, they were the least frightening police in the US – at one time. Now, I’m terrified of all of them. (Of course, I’ve been stalked, raped and most recently nearly murdered by them and they killed my daughter and turned my whole life upside down. So, I have a reason for staying in these days. I just don’t leave the house without my husband and then I’m still scared.)

An out of control cop in a crowd of peaceful protesters is like an out of control dog running pell mell in a chicken coop…the dog will kill a couple of dozen chickens but won’t eat one of them. At least a coyote has the decency to take one of the chickens with him and eat it. 2. The cops used to beat us for very little in my area when we were young. Unfortunately they seem to have the attitude in the UK that anyone who is not a cop is a criminal. They are used by the government as a tool to beat the people with if we protest, for example when the miners went on strike.
We now have the perverse situation where the victim of the crime is the one that the bizzies charge. They can even raid parlimentary constituancy offices with impunity.
