Tom Morello, guitarist with rock protest band Rage Against the Machine, spoke out against false flag terrorism on the same day an impromptu performance by the band was shut down by police outside the RNC.
Morello spoke briefly to members of We Are Change Tuesday just before appearing at an event being held by independent candidate Ralph Nader in St. Paul, Minnesota.
“When the media speaks of terrorism it tends to be in the context of lone bandits from middle eastern countries when most of the terrorism that occurs in the world is government sponsored.” Morello told Change reporters.
“Whether it’s the Bush administration or the Putin administration, terror is not something that is unfamiliar to governments.”
“It is nothing new,” Morello continued, “From Gulf of Tonkin to the Maine, in the Spanish American war, it is something that is embedded, unfortunately, in the DNA of American politics.”

Hey Alex Jones please post your interview with Rage Against the Machine since you obviously had to have been there for the protests and the Convention!

American Politics Lie, Deceit, and Defame……….I mean the hypocrisy is astounding. I think Jon Stewart doesn’t even need to point that out. It’s the hypocrisy, stupid.

Morello is spot on about the Spanish-American War, which was engineered in exactly the same way that the current Iraq War was.
The Spanish-American War was preceded by more than a decade of anti-Spanish propaganda in the US Mainstream Media, which earned the leading US media outlets the title ‘Yellow Journalists’.
The bombing of the US battleship Maine in Havana Harbor was an inside job committed by agents of the US Office of Naval Intelligence. During the Spanish-American War the USA siezed Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines from Spain.
The US Fleeet decisively defeated the Spanish Fleet in the Battle of Manila Bay. Shock and Awe.
The Spanish garrison in Manila made a token resistance against the US troops, but basically they just surrendered en masse. Just like the Iraqi Army did in 2003.
The USA reneged on its promise of liberation and independence for the Philippino people, and instead the USA simply took over the colonial occupation of the Philippines from the Spanish, the same way that the USA took over Iraq after ousting Saddam Hussein.
The Philippine-American War between the occupying US troops and Philippino insurgents lasted for fourteen years, during which 126,000 US troops were stationed in the Philippines. In the Philippine-American War more than 4,000 US troops died, and between 200,000 and one million Philippinos died, depending on whether you consult sources that are friendly to the USA or to the Philippinos. Just like in Iraq, the US government didn’t keep track of how many Philippinos were killed by US troops.
The US troops committed many atrocities against the Phillipinos, including the massacres of whole towns. The USA herded Philippino civilians from rebel areas into concentration camps.
As in Iraq, none of the US troops who committed atrocities against the Philippinos were given any serious punishment for their acts.
The economic exploitation of the Philippines by the USA provided various resources including rubber, sugar, and tropical hardwoods at cheap prices to the US market. Like Iraqi oil.
US Imperialism, fascism, Mass Media propaganda, and ‘false flag’ attacks to justify aggressive war are nothing new for the US government. The USA has been Imperialist and fascist since shortly after the American Revolution. Look at how the US government treated the Native Americans of the Five Civilized Tribes in the Southeastern States during the 1830s.

Tom Morello is a multi-millionaire. If wants to practice what he preaches he should donate a couple mills to the infowars money bomb or fund a couple movies or let be handed out 1 million copies of Loose change, terrorstorm or fabled enemies.
September 4th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
Morello, shut up srewing around and donate your money to get 1 million copies on the street!!
1 MILLION GODDAMIT!!!
September 4th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
There’s more than one way to contribute. Speaking the truth in his music certainly helps the cause. And he may very well contribute money and time in ventures helpful in waking up the sheep. I don’t know much about Mr. Morello. I do know that it doesn’t matter whether you woke up because of something you saw or something you heard, it’s just important that you wake up. Hopefully we’ll see more people like him start speaking out. We have to wake up the people quickly, before it’s too late.

I’ve always been a fan of RATM’s music, and although agree with them on some of the issues, I see them as still stuck inside the left/right paradigm and it seems they think Republicans are the only ones that support war. If anyone can tell me otherwise though I’d be interested to know, it may just be that I do not have enough information.
September 4th, 2008 at 9:29 pm
Republicans and Demo(n)crats follow the same path using different pace.
September 4th, 2008 at 9:29 pm
Theyve consistantly said that its not just the republicans supporting the war, and have criticised the democrats for their role.
They even played at the DNC protest,s just like they did (or tried to) at the RNC protest.

Everyone seems to forget ISRAEL and JEWS as being the inventors of false flag terrorism and the ones who carry it out.
September 4th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
The thing that struck me about this video of Morello and RATM is how very cozy they seemed to be with the police. RATM’s message sounds pretty good overall, but is RATM just exploiting the Revolutionary theme as their personal gravy train, or are they committed enough to change to say things that might be really
unpopular? In other words, is there a ‘gatekeeper’ aspect to their ‘we love the cops’ and peacenik posturing?
In 1968 the Beatles sang:
“You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We’re doing what we can
But when you want money
for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
But when you talk about destruction
Don’t you know that you can count me out
But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow”
That’s when I realized that the Beatles were rich, effete Englishmen who had no clue how righteously pissed off a lot of us Americans were against the US government.
After John Lennon left the Beatles and moved to New York, he started hanging out with hard-core American radicals, and Lennon got pretty radical and political in the messages of his songs from his ‘Plastic Ono Band’ and ‘Working Class Hero’ period.
But Lennon remained rather mainstream and conventional in terms of his actual political and economic behavior. That’s quite understandable considering the fact that Lennon was constantly fighting deportation by US government fascists and that he was eventually murdered by a CIA MK-Ultra zombie.

I suppose the Rage lot are agent provocateurs deeply embedded in the neo con smokescreen but don’t realize it. Come on guys, this is a good thing. Anyone high profile is always going to get flack for lending a hand as some kind of publicity stunt.

The Puerto Rican cop is probably a fan. Not all cops are bad. Just a bit misguided
September 5th, 2008 at 12:13 am
Actually false flag shit has probably been going on since humans started killing each other. War is minging and anything goes whatever they say about Geneva convention

I love Rage and being a musician, I hate just about everything that reaches the mainstream. I do agree with other posts that allude to the fact that RATM have a somewhat gatekeeper mentality but then again, so do a lot of other mainstream artists. The last really radical thing I’m aware of that reached the mainstream was back in the 60’s with Dylan’s Masters of War. However I was a toddler at the time it came out so I’m not sure what an impact it really made beyond the afficianados.
We’re so far gone though that to most people RATM is radical when they’re really not. They’re just half awake.
September 5th, 2008 at 5:48 am
“Everyone seems to forget ISRAEL and JEWS as being the inventors of false flag terrorism and the ones who carry it out.”
Utter nonsense. Of course these kinds of acts are done by other people and other nations.
September 5th, 2008 at 6:10 am
While I’m not a fan of RATM musically, I do appreciate them lyrically. We need more artists out there that aren’t afraid to speak the truth. Sadly,a lot of the time, the fanbase of RATM reaches a frat-boy audience, enjoyed only for their hard edge. I’ve posted Morello’s interview on MySpace comments, oping to reach some of these people who are fans, and may respect what Tom has to say.

Infowarriors, help me. I am going to mainstream websites where the sheeple graze, and in the comments section, I post a headline such as “U.S. government admits they are spraying American towns with toxic chemicals. They are the reason your loved ones have cancer. Go to Prisonplanet.com to get the whole story and see the proof” Infowarriors, help me make posts like this all over the web, on mainstream sites where people have no clue what is going on. We must direct people to the truth before its too late. “Some of those who hold office, are the same that burn crosses” “Fuk you I wont do what ya tell me!… …”

Love RATM, keep spreading the word and keep the faith. Fuck Obama bin laden and John McDouchebag. Fuckin assholes. You see this creep Mcain? What a dick with his stubby little arms and his little man syndrome. He can’t even bring himself to make a convincing smile with his phony ass. And Obama…look at this uncle tom mother fucker. He’s so white, he makes Michael Jackson look like 50 cent. And what about Palin and her non mothering ass. Gee i wonder where she was at while her 16 year old daughter was being stataorily raped by her 18 year old boyfriend. What a cunt. Obviously Mcain isn’t the smartest mother fucker in the world to bring her on as a V.P. candidate. A worthless mother who cant take care of her own family yet expects to be able to help take care of our country…fuck off slut!

Rage rules!
September 6th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Yeah, I agree Morello is pretty in touch with US politics. But he’s all into communism like mad. And because of that alone I’m not all that hot on him speaking out on these issues in detail.
Communism is no better than the half fascist government we are under today. -In fact it’s worse-
September 7th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
So… cos RATM are ‘all into communism’ means we shouldn;t listen to what they have to say, or that we don’t share political common ground with them? That closed mindset is just ‘divide and rule’, doing the government’s dirty work for them. Either we break the left-right paradigm as Alex continually urges on his broadcasts or we just keep on getting fcuked over by the NWO.
September 7th, 2008 at 11:50 pm
It’s nice that Rage Against the Machine decides to semi-step out of their many-years long obscurity to KINDA speak out against false flag terror. What took them so long? And what will they do/say after everyone has gone home from the protests? This is the problem I have with “celebrity activism”…it’s never a long-term thing. What has Charlie Sheen been doing besides making stupid and pointless television commercials?
September 8th, 2008 at 2:04 pm
As Sun Tzu said, “All war is based on deception.”
September 8th, 2008 at 6:47 pm
Talman says “So… cos RATM are ‘all into communism’ means we shouldn;t listen to what they have to say, or that we don’t share political common ground with them?”.
Actually, That is a very ignorant view of communism. The United States government is more communist than China based on the US government take over of mortgage giant Fannie Mae. Wake up America, this happened TODAY!
THIS IS PURE SOCIALISM FOR THE RICH. The rich bankers screw up and the US government bails them out at the taxpayers expense.
