Despite Al Gore’s pronoucment that “the debate is over”, alarmist David Appell nevertheless faced off against skeptic climatologist Dr. Tim Ball on The Victoria Taft Show on Monday night on Portland, Oregon’s KPAM AM 860..
Appell has a recent piece in Scientific American that contends even now that the Hockey Stick is alive and well..
Here’s the audio of the debate:.

Tim Ball: Exxon/Mobil funded Heartland Institute Hack Junk Scientist.
The conservative Heartland Institute hired him for the expressed purpose of “debunking” studies on Climate Change unfavorable to oil industry. Ball has been retired and has not taken part in any scientific research since 1997.

And….
“Ball has been retired and has not taken part in any scientific research since 1997″
A very similar ad-hom attack David Appell tried to make in the radio debate. It’s as irrelevant here as it was on the radio programme.
You clearly haven’t listened to the Radio interview. Although I guess its not worth it as you are only paid to write here, not to listen to radio programmes.

97% of the co2 in the atmosphere comes from natural sources. What are the carbon alarmists going to do about that?

I remember snorky said something about putting the “greenhouse gases back to where they belong” just recently – and the dumbfuck actually said the gases need to be put back “in the greenhouses”!
Those were his own pre-programmed “words of wisdumb”…
But hey, that’s just dumb, dumber & snorky…

Something amazing has been discovered in an area of South Africa, about 150 miles inland, west of the port of Maputo. It is the remains of a huge metropolis that measures, in conservative estimates, about 1500 square miles. It’s part of an even larger community that is about 10,000 square miles and appears to have been constructed — are you ready — from 160,000 to 200,000 BCE!

Oh dear. All the Portland milktoast liberals must have got their panties in a bunch that someone even suggested the possibility that man is not the ultimate evil and causing climate change.

Excellent Rip. Good reminders about the ‘hockey stick’ scam.
Tim Ball’s OK.

As mention on the radio programme: “We must make the Medieval Warm Period Disappear” I’ve heard about that particular e-mail on a number of occasions. Has any one got a link to it?

You’re deluded! Current global temperatures have surpassed the the greatest outlier high-temperature estimates for the “Medieval Warm Period.” In other words, you’re full of shit.

And your figures are lies. When the fuck will you wake up and understand global warming will not be what causes civilizations demise. Ever heard of priorities?
You bash Cheney and his gutless thieving of taxpayer dollars (rightfully so), but do nothing to blast Gore and his carbon tax exchange theft.
You ar eonly a tool of the false left-right paradigm. In other words, you are a worthless piece of shit.

Appell Tries to Divert attention after his previously retracted AGW/CC explantation for hurricane Katrina, by saying ‘it was mostly a very well aimed storm’. Tim Ball also immediately picks up on this nonsense. Appell has taken the fall but has to still vainly be seen as superior to the presumed dumb public listening by throwing in this wildcard.
“It was mostly a well aimed storm”. IMHO, he’s trying to say, ‘it was just a storm but let’s draw focus away from the core issues by pretending Haarp made Katrina, so be afraid of us, be very afraid. We always are superior to you lower carbon-based “contrarians”.
The other extremist Mann also shows a great need to deflect attention and distract a gormless public in this 2005 MotherJones interview:

Suggest to all that you google “Eddy Maunder”. A study of what really controls the ups and downs of temperature and precipitation over long periods of time. National Geographic had an article on this study some 30-40 years ago. I worked for UCSD for a time and was at Scripps Inst. of Oceanography many times. They had mud cores from the oceans bottom that showed the climate cycles going back several hundred thousand years. As Solomon said “There’s nothing new under the sun”. The climate has ALWAYS fluctuated and without any input from man. Also, studies of bubbles in the ice of both Greenland and Antarctica going back tens of thousands of years show MUCH higher CO2 concentrations than now. Just remember that the “New World Odor” crowd have stated they intend to lower our standard of living so as to facilitate our merger with Third World countries in their Satanic world government. To hell with them all.

Methinks little David got his ass handed to him, but I do admire his courage to debate. I doubt he will make that mistake again however.

Computer based climate models.
These are the models on which the IPCC has based all of its predictions of AGW upon.
As Ball points out, these models have been designed to ignore the Sun as a factor influencing climate. But however you try and justify ignoring the Sun in a climate model you are going to look like a liar or an idiot. The Sun provides the Earth with all the heat it needs to produce a climate that supports life. Therefore in a climate model the Sun must not be ignored, it is intrinsic.
But there is another intrinsic process which determines climate and of course temperature, that has also been completely ignored by these IPCC climate models. This is a process which, if ignored will give a definite pronounced result, one which would be extremely desirable to anyone with an agenda to try and show that a certain type of gas could trap in heat.
CONVECTION. Convection has been completely ignored by the IPCC climate models for many reasons but one of the most important reasons is that it enables the IPCC to alter reality and imply that CO2 traps heat and reflects it back down to Earth. When the reality is that ALL hot air rises, including CO2. But if you ignore convection you can directly infer that there is greenhouse effect because this is exactly how a greenhouse works, by preventing convection.
But then you will be told that the science behind the greenhouse effect is a well established and undisputed 150 year old fact. Well this is also false. The establishment of the greenhouse effect is attributed to John Tyndall, a professor of Natural Philosophy at the Royal Society (previously called the Hidden Collage) during the mid 1800’s. In his book “Contributions to Molecular Physics in the Domain of Radiant Heat” he implies that the atmosphere behaves like a dam to radiant heat when in-fact nothing could be further from the truth. He also goes on to make the ridiculous claim that if a layer of olfiant gas two inches thick existed around the Earth it would radiate back 33% of the infrared heat escaping, causing the temperature of the Earth to become stifling. Again there seems to be propensity to ignore convection even this far back. His book “Contributions to Molecular Physics” is very interesting for another reason. In his various experiments, he was examining individual atmospheric gasses to apparently establish their propensity to absorb radiant heat. He ranked CO2 as a powerful absorber and water vapour even higher. In fact in all his experiments water vapour was ranked the number one in terms of its ability to absorb radiant heat. But when it came to Oxygen and Nitrogen he claimed that he witnessed no observable heat absorption characteristics in either gas during his experiments. Ultimately implying that the effect they would have in the atmosphere would be negligible in terms of effecting atmospheric temperature.
The question then arises, was he trying to be deliberately misleading or was he genuinely unaware that Oxygen and Nitrogen have melting points of 54.36 K and 63.15 K respectively. Which actually makes these two gasses that make up 99% of the atmosphere far more important in the domain of radiant heat than CO2 which remains as ice up to a temperature of 194.65 K or Water which is ice up to 273 K and are only 0.03811% and 1% of total atmospheric gasses respectively.
The slight of hand becomes obvious if you consider that Tyndall’s job here may have been to produce the effect of a reality reversal. By implying that gasses which are poor absorbers of heat are actually powerful absorbers of heat and that these gasses may also posses the ability to form layers which can trap heat as with the imagined example of olfiant gas. The truth however, is that the gas which has the lowest melting point is by definition the greatest absorber of heat. In other words if Oxygen and Nitrogen were not able to absorb heat they would still be ice. So in fact these two gasses Oxygen and Nitrogen have the lowest melting points of all atmospheric gasses and at the same time are, in combination, the most abundant gasses at 990,000 ppm as opposed to CO2 which is a mere 385 ppm.
The truth is that air is a very efficient absorber of heat but because it rapidly expands when warmed this makes it a poor conductor. But he atmosphere does not use conduction to transfer heat, though it does use convection, and very efficiently. As there is nothing preventing convection in the atmosphere as there is in a greenhouse (glass), then there is nothing to trap the heat and so it is rapidly re-emitted back into space. Hence the fact that the Earth has never over heated. So if you have a climate model which deliberately ignores convection as a factor, then I’m sorry but, its not worth the DELL its running on!
John Tydall is interesting for another reason. He had links with Sir Frances Gaulton and Julian Huxley who themselves are directly linked to social darwinism and the early Eugenics movement, which later spawned the Nazi movement. Even more interestingly, the big money that brought us Adolf Hitler and funded his Eugenics programs, (Rothschild/Rockefella/Warburg et al.) is the same big money behind this AGW Pseudo Environmentalism.
Be warned, history is repeating itself.
Don’t believe AGW is a fraud, Know it!
