Last week when I tuned in to the baseball game in Chicago they said it was 70 degrees at game time. That’s 1:00pm. It is July. I lived there for 30 yrs. and cannot remember anything close to that ever happening. Global warming is a myth. Climate change is happening. It cannot be changed no matter how many taxes you push on the people.

Yes, but there are billions to made on the hoax. Greed and corruption abounds.

      Matzo Man Reply:

Yeah, they don’t care about you! The bottom line is:

      billions to be made

Is anyone monitoring the Gulf Stream by the way to see if its being overrun with fresh water? Is this cold affecting more than this area (North East US and Western Europe)?

    3. steven Says:

Uh oh guess the planet is not warming today! I better go hide in my cave until a heatwave comes! then ill jeer at everyone! followed by a winter hibernation

    4. wow Says:

it gets funnier by the fucking minute. next they will tell us that their is chicken flu and that there is a new ice age and they need more tax to heat the planet up.

      Shhh! Don’t give them ideas!

    5. Klem Says:

The climate changes, so what else is new? But are humans causing it? Not a chance.

I did run across something that might have a very small effect on global warming that is man caused. It is that all of the blacktop and concrete in our cities is causing additional heat in those cities. The solution of course is not cap and trade but planting more trees and grass as well as rooftop gardens. Sounds alot more logical than the whole global warming-the sky is falling cult.

      Glen Reply:

Or simply limiting the colours roofs are allowed to be painted or otherwise finished.
Simply keep the albedo high enough and the roads are more than offset.

If they also stopped positioning all the temperature monitoring boxes in the middle of car parks this would correct the figures as well. Lodge a complaint if you see any of these boxes and keep them honest with the data they base the computer models on.

It’s 102 F here and I hate it. Gimme some more plastic clouds please!

      reksys,
If you live in a big city check out my posting above.

Thank goodness the G8 signed new global warming bill. Our tax money and hundreds of new environmental laws and regulations will prevent the warming from exceeding 2C. You see the reason for the cooling your are seeing is also caused by global warming as it also causes the global cooling.

      Glen Reply:

Excellent they can pass fire legislation also and all fires will just go out once they reach a certain size, or same for any other problems no more earthquakes above mag. 3 or tornadoes above F1.

The temperatures here in northern California have been all over the map from record-breaking highs to record-breaking lows for the last decade or so. Coincidentally, that is when aerial spraying kicked into high gear. Only a coincidence, of course. Bring on the global CO2 tax! Useless eaters, it is your patriotic duty to stop breathing!

I’ve lived in Ohio most of my 42 years. As a child I remember how much snow we used to get in the winter and how hot and humid the summers were. Every year our winters seem to get stranger, such as “freak” events (ice storms). Summer is like fall, cool mornings and nights warm (seldom hot) days. True Spring and Fall Seasons have all but disappeared. Not to change the subject, but well water used to be sweet tasting, now it’s so full of iron you have to hold your nose to get it down. The most caustic cleaner (The Works) is the only cleanser that can remove the rust from your appliances, and twice a month I have to use Oops hair color remover (I don’t color my hair) to get the red out of my blond hair. Try and talk to family, friends, neighbors, etc. about technology and philosophies in play, no one cares… they have too many other worries (money). When the money is gone, maybe there will be more concern, then more importantly, action.

The next thing to happen will be the government will say “oh its only getting colder because of our secret sky spraying program we have been doing ,we didn’t want to tell the public just in case it didn’t work but it has were winning its getting cooler again!” or some such bullshit

I love it. I’m saving on air conditioning.

How do *TODAY’S* temperatures relate to the debate?

It’s ridiculous to draw conclusions from *one day’s weather*. Morons.

You mean like Al Gore does? Al Gore, who can’t even fix his mansion with the one million dollars he got from his Nobel Prize:

To really do this right we need millenniums of data.

    13. Matzo Man Says:

Thanks be to God! Saves me a ton on air conditioning.

Well . . . the actual GLOBAL CLIMATE data for June 2009 demonstrates the following:
      - – - – - – -

      • This past June was the WARMEST on record for ocean temperatures
      • This past June was the 6th warmest on record for land temperatures
      • This past June was the 2nd warmest on record for combined ocean and land temperatures
      . . .

      Global Highlights:

      • Based on preliminary data, the globally averaged combined land and sea surface temperature was the second warmest on record for June and the January-June year-to-date tied with 2004 as the fifth warmest on record.

      • Large portions of each inhabited continent were substantially warmer than average during June 2009. The warmest anomalies were most notable in parts of Africa and most of Eurasia. The most notable cooler-than-average temperatures were present from the southwestern U.S. to the Northern Plains, the Canadian Prairie Provinces, central Asia, and across the boundary of northeastern China and southeastern Russia.

      • The most notable above-average precipitation during June 2009 was present across parts of central and northeastern Europe, eastern Asia, northern Brazil, and most of the northern half of the contiguous United States. The driest anomalies occurred across India, southeastern Asia, northern South America, southeastern and south central contiguous U.S., and parts of the western Pacific Islands.

      • El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) transitioned from ENSO-neutral to El Niño conditions across the equatorial Pacific Ocean during June 2009. If El Niño conditions continue to mature as projected by NOAA, global temperatures are likely to continue to threaten previous record highs.
