Ron Paul: Neoconservatives backing Obamas foreign policy ronpaulrevolution

    Art credit: Sexy Propaganda

In a little noticed editorial yesterday, Texas Republican Congressman Ron Paul fired a shot across the bow of every progressive activist in the U.S., a great many of whom are supporters of President Barack Obama.

Oh, you didn’t hear about this? I couldn’t be any less surprised.

Published to the Campaign for Liberty Web site, the editorial takes up a favored issue for liberty-leaning Republicans: the Budget. Congressman Paul’s message on money is quite unlike any of his Republican colleagues and quite the opposite of the Obama administration’s. Naturally, he predicts unprecedented spending will trigger dire consequences.

But that’s nothing exactly new from Paul, per se. What caught my eye was paragraph three, which reads:

Some may notice that the neo-conservatives who masterminded the policy of global interventions are not complaining about the level of military and foreign spending. This is because rather than drawing down our costly interventions, Obama is largely staying the course on these issues. In fact, this week a group of leading neoconservatives met to discuss how best to support the President on foreign policy! I am disappointed and concerned that, in spite of a change in leadership, we will remain the policeman of the world, placing ourselves at grave danger in many ways.

Ron Paul: Neoconservatives backing Obamas foreign policy obama 340x169

Paul, who has always struck me as one of the few genuine, honest politicians out there, has a gigantic following. In a sense, he represents many, many more people than just members of his district. He’s like the Republican Dennis Kucinich, calling for a return to principles and his party’s original grand ideas.

And he’s got a lot of friends on the Left: people who otherwise fundamentally disagree with Libertarian philosophies of governing, but nonetheless recognize the obvious truths littered throughout his every speech. For crying out loud, HBO’s most favored liberal, none other than Bill Maher, absolutely loves the guy. And from what I’ve gathered in my time as an associate editor for Raw Story, so do many of you guys.

Now, it’s your turn to sound off. I want to hear it from you on two points …

1.) Does Obama really represent change? And… 2.) Is Ron Paul right?

      no obama provides change.
      instead of neocons influencing
      his foreign policy it´s people
      like Brzezinksy… the reptilian.

    2. ZNOFOB Says:

      No change.

Of course Dr. Paul is right…right as rain.

    3. Gary B Says:

Change? yes – Change for the worse, not the better.
Ron Paul right? Yes, I think so.

    4. The Truth Seeker Says:

      No & Yes

    5. Jay Says:

That’s good news! Nice that Obama has bipartisan support.

    6. wehavebeendeceived.com Says:

Dennis Kucinich is a Democrat… a rare find on that side of the political line. Its ironic… I find alot of people are finally seeing the light and recognizing Ron Paul as a genuine patriot…a dollar short and a day late… we had our opportunity to put this man in the white house, and now America will get exactly what it chanted for….change. Ron Paul certainly has convictions… but so does Obama. You must realize… the motivations of Obama are rooted in the same religious theosophy as the elites… if you want to know why the elites and the compliant politicians are doing what they are doing…I challenge you…read Hannah Newman’s “The Rainbow Swastika” (Google it). It will change your life!! These men and women observe a religion they do not profess… I’ll give you an example… The Lucis Trust Publishing Company (prior to 1920 it was called the Lucifer Trust) was run and operated by Alice Bailey and her husband. The Lucis Trust prints and publishes all of the U.N.’s publications and documents. Alice Bailey was a devout occultist and published 24 publications of her own using a technique called “automated writing” or channeling. A demon known as Djwahl Kuhl wrote these books through her and even developed a prayer called “The Great Invocation” which I might add, is recited daily at the U.N. headquarters. The theme… “Light and Love” all throughout the invocation… look at Obama’s inauguration speech and Elizabeth Alexander’s poem directly following his speech. The theme… “Light and Love”. Look it up… They are praying to the spirit realm…to Sanat Kumara as known to many eastern religions (or as we know him Lucifer) for guidance on their earthly deeds to bring about “The Luciferian Initiation”. Sorry for getting on a soapbox here…I could go on and on… if you would like more info… please email me at wehavebeendeceived@gmail.com. The people must know! The truth shall set you free…

Come on, dude!!!! I’m a Ron Paul supporter like you, but when you bring stuff like this up, you turn people off to our cause. You might be right about this stuff, I don’t know…I’m not that far down the rabbit hole…nor do I really want to be at this point…but others who read the stuff you pontificate about then equate your ideas with Ron Paul…even though he has nothing to do with these ideas. Lay off, please. It’s like trying to recruit new members of a religion by telling them they are all going to Hell anyway. There are some religions (and cults) who have been slightly successful at this (Jehovah’s Witnesses for example), but they are still have not thrived and are the butt of the joke of all other Christian denominations…ya know, all the ones about the knock on the door on a Saturday morning and getting handed a Watchtower….well, stop knocking on doors with this stuff, man! Your getting the door slammed in Ron Paul’s face!

    7. lightbeamer Says:

Obama is More of the same with little change. Only thing Changing on him is he still has the people’s support, but that will last only a short while. He’s dealing with something very dangerous in this country, and that’s Gun control. Now, their not banning Guns so, they stopped producing Primers for civilian use so its harder to find ammunition. They must figured, if they can’t legally take our Guns, they will make it impossible for us to make our own ammunition. Check it out.
Ron Paul was absolutely right! More people should take time to listen to what he is saying. I feel they will when they see themselves things falling apart under Obama and the rest of the economy.

    8. nader paul kucinich gravel Says:

Just ask yourself how & why Neocons could still be calling the shots for Obama?!

It won’t take long to find the answer ~

    10. Chris in the Caribbean Says:

In my opinion, and I am not an American, Ron Paul is easily on a par with Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, John F Kennedy and George Washington.

      el nino Reply:

      ABRAHAM LINCOLN?
wtf this is an insult actually.
      1st because it´s not true.
ron paul is a “gold bug”, that is
      he´s for a 100% backed currency,
      while lincoln invented state controlled
currency. that´s why he was murdered
for. still lincoln started the war with
the south because he wanted a stronger
central gov. paul doesn´t want that at all.
and so do I. so did ALL founding fathers.

    11. PALPATINE Says:

Obama is nothing more than a tool of the banking elite. Ron Paul is right and should be our commander in chief. I DONT SEE ANY f---ING CHANGES. Obama says one thing and does the other. of course all of you reading this know that, but the majority of America/theworld doesnt.

    12. Dr.D Says:

No to #1—Hell Yes to #2— Btw,Ron Paul and Peter Schiff are frequent guests on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s weekly internet only tv show every Wed.@ 2pm et on foxnews.com
The show is called ‘Freedom Watch’ in the ‘Strategy Room’.

    13. theemiddleone Says:

Obama is NOT change at all and this point is so hashed over and obvious that it does not need to be discussed by people in the ‘know’. Especially here.

Dr. Paul is correct of course and the same goes for his message…people in the ‘know’ do not need to continually rehash him, his past or his message.

The thing we need to do is spread solutions!…Sites like Prisonplanet.com and NH21.com are great places to start.

We can talk about how its raining out right now…how small or large the drops are…how wet we are getting..etc. How about the solution of HOW NOT TO GET WET?

This site and others offer information to wake up and to stay on top of things but a place to meet up with others like yourself and manifest the cure is what we need to augment these sites.

      Good Luck.

    14. Terry Conspira C Says:

Ron Paul is right on the money.
Ron Paul is right on foreign policy.
Ron Paul is right on the War on drugs.
Ron Paul is right on everything except, the social safety net issues.

Ron Paul should sweep the 2012 Presidency.

    15. FreeBooteR Says:

Change for the worse. Ron Paul is correct on many things. Regarding social safety net issues; Most of the social safety net issues would dissolve if people weren’t made into indentured servants of the banks through usury. We still need a safety net, for those who cannot take care of themselves through mental and or physical handicaps. People could actually pay for their homes and those items necessary for human survival and progress, and still have enough to save for retirement and set aside enough to bequeath to their progeny.

    16. THIRD PARTY Says:

HE IS THE ONE GUY OUT THEIR THAT CALLS EVERYONE ON THEIR BULLs---.I DO LIKE THAT ABOUT HIM.THE BIAS MAIN STREAM MEDIA DOES NOT MIND HIM MUCH,WHEN IN TURN THEY CAN LEARN A LOT ABOUT HIM AND HIS POINTS.HE OFTEN GETS CUT OFF WHEN HE IS POUNDING THE INTERVIEWER ON POLICIES OR ON THE LAW.I WOULD ALMOST VOTE FOR HIM,HE NEEDS A BIGGER PLATFORM A TRUE ( THIRD PARTY).

    17. King Hercules Says:

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag0CB5mFL6Y
Dr. Ron Paul says in Congress what many fail to hear from MainStreamMedia talking heads…The Constitution is being trashed and many of us are Mad as Hell.

    18. Patrick Henry Says:

Yes he represents change. He is dangerously accelerating every agenda that the neo-con, bank syndicate has been pushing aggresively the last 25 years. He has a smile on his face when he puts the knife in your back which is much different than the last eight years. Oh you meant POSITIVE change, well no then. Dr. Paul is one of the last courageous, daring, patriotic leaders in America and all of us would be well served to make Dr. Paul’s name and ideas household knowledge.

    19. Ctiger2 Says:

Obama offers change for the worse. He’s actually outBushing Bush when it comes to spending.

Ron Paul is THE chosen one.

    20. Dave S. Says:

Obama represents more of the same empire, we saw under Bush.

Remember, left wing, right wing, the same bird. We were sold another lie.

Elitist expansionism, misappropriation of large sums of money, para-military and covert operations on our own soil. Stay tuned for more.

Ron Paul offers a Constitutional approach. to resolving America’s real problems.

While maintaining our rights as U.S. citizens under the Constitution of the United States.

    21. Chris R Says:

The time is coming when we and our voices will be needed to stand up to the coming anachy or should I say the present enslavement through ignorance of the truth say: The Federal reserve. I recently made my own commentary on the Federal reserve with The obama deception and end game on one sheet of paper with an American Flag at the top. People are really hungry for the truth. I”ve had 4 peope who could not thank me enough when they saw the obama deception and Zeitgeist: the Federal reserve. I don’t know any of you guys or gals but hang in there . WE ARE GOING TO WIN!

    22. Phil W Says:

      Good questions.

      1) No, Obama doesn’t represent change. The choices were big-government/police state or big government/nanny-state. The common thread there is big government. Both parties need the unlimited credit that is the Federal Reserve to fund their programs. Until that changes the rest is cosmetic politics.

      2) Yes, Ron Paul is right. He is one of the few honest guys out there saying “hey, this doesn’t look that different from a year ago”.

Kudos to you sir, for asking the right questions.

    23. el nino Says:

      Hey on behalf financial politics,
Ron Paul is a gold bug, isn´t he?
Of course that means he´s for
      NO currency- policy
      (gold backed money is good,
      because the market can regulate
himself. we had no free market for hunderts
      of years!)

      el nino Reply:

      market can regulate ITSELF.
      learn english you kraut!
      lol sorry. grammatical mistake.

    24. Patriot Says:

I have been following Ron Paul for quite some time now. Unfortunately he is so right that I think this country is truly on the brink of a 2nd Revolution. Do I believe that it can be handled peacefully? Yes! Do I think it will be handled that way? NO! Although people are beginning to wake up, the American people are so consumed with their daily appetite of nothing that they wont learn to stand for something. Especially those things that they (Americans) say they hold so dear. I find myself with those who are afraid to speak the truth and call those who do……..crazy. Even when talking sense to someone they still think you are crazy!! That is true ignorance. However, I began to understand that the ignorance came from a lack of knowledge and their labeling (crazy) came from “Fear of the Unknown!”

OBAMA IS A PUPPET & RON PAUL SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRESIDENT!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!
KEEP SPREADING THE TRUTH & THE MESSAGE!!!!

Obama is not change of any kind except the body warming the oval office…but you can BELIEVE in it if you want.
Dr. Paul is right. He should be president right now, and let me tell you that in the hearts and minds of many, many a patriot…he already is!
