The truth of the matter is that people are not stupid… Ron Paul and his supporters should have presented an effective case backed by a political strategy to take power. Without an effective amount of power you people are voices in the wilderness…The issue is the battle for the centre ground NOT throwing stones from the bitterness of the political fringes…if you are not actually on the field you are spectators.

Now the Democrats have a mandate.
Both the House and the Senate are “filibuster-proof” , meaning that the Democrats we voted for two years ago, as well as the ones we elected yesterday, as well as President Obama , are obligated to stop the wars against Iraq and Afghanistan, provide the single payer health plan , and give major tax breaks to the middle and lower classes , starting with a big stimulus check in January.
The Democrats are on the clock and we the people are watching and waiting.

The truth is that we are all being brainwashed by the incessant ranting media (TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, web ads). They hard-sell their candidates and ignore others. In other words they make you think what they want. They own your brain. THIS IS THE POWER OF THE DARK SIDE.
Yes, let’s get real. Who owns the media? The advertisers own the media. Who are the advertisers? Corporations and government. Government owns a surprising amount of stock in corporations and they cooperate. This is not good because they do make mistakes (or maybe it’s intentional) that end up killing people and then they have to work together to hide it. The true powers are the upper management of these corporations. At that point you are in the old boys club. And they want someone who will do what they want. We get empty slogans and dreams, and they get what they want. Money talks BS walks!
You know the Romans were more open and honest about it. The candidates went to rich and said “give me power and I will give you want you want.” And it worked and the rich got virtual monopolies. Nothing has changed.
Under a virtual news/advertising/media blackout I think Ron Paul did Better that I expected. It got to the point where they had to pull some political dirty tricks at Republican state conventions. Many of us Ron Paul supporters are poor or barely-making-it people who have a lot to lose. We can only do so much. We threw money bombs. We were hoping for one of the old boys to break out and help us. Alas that did not happen. So now we are back to trying to find the truth among all the propaganda (lies) which we want so much to end.

A victory for civil rights (although it should have happened along time ago) but not a victory for America or democracy because in truth the Democrats represent the interests of the Banking elite and not the people, his rhetoric towards Russia and Iran also concern me greatly.

As for gold… it might go up, not planning on buying any. No one has ever satisfactorily convinced me I can legally exchange gold for food at a grocery store or between two parties. What do I use for change if my gold was worth more than what I bought? And if the dollar crashes (which is possible), then how will gold be of any real use? What bank would have or be willing to spend enough cash to buy my gold? I’m better off buying tangible assets and paying off bills to avoid slavery.

we all talk about what we need to do to stop the monsters. Its called restoring the constitution. Currently we don’t follow it all at, we work around it and twist it. Our Government is defined by it and yet our Government yields power to the UN and other international bodies. We should have zero foreign influence in our nation. We should have real money backed by gold and silver as it states in the constitution, we should not have a central bank because its not in the Constitution and all of the founding fathers told us not to have one as well. The constitution is setup so the Government does exactly as its outlined, nothing more. We were to have a small federal system and stronger local and state governments. More power at the local level and not this one size fits all government at the national level that’s more powerful than the people.
It is that simple. Why would the Founding Fathers leave us with a small document to control our entire government and yet we go off and create a tax code that filled an entire football field.

Let’s all just hope that what Obama said in his speech comes true. Especially the part where he talks about when issues arise, party lines will be crossed, and partisanship will not be a factor in decision making.
If that is true, then perhaps we will see some positive changes happen in this country. Although the fact that we no longer have any checks and balances when it comes to the congress & the President, that could potentially be a very scary thing.

The main reason i was never a democrat much, was because i realized that unless you support homosexual rights and marriage, 100% pro choice, UNLIMITED immigration, and in total belief of Al Gores version of Global Warming… they will declare you an Enemy!

To everyone arguing over why Obama got more votes because he is Black or whatever…. wake the fuck up, Obama is no different than any other president. You didnt CHOOSE him, you were manipulated by mainstream media to believe he was the only viable choice! In a sea of shit, even toilet paper looks like a godsend.
Obama will be doing a lot of harm like every other president, does his race effect that in any way? no.. .the only thing it does is give him the sympathy vote and the minority vote in most cases. Its mere marketing, the reason Obama is the president is not because he is black, it is because he was pimped by MTV, Hollywood, Oprah, the Media and the “hip hop generation” to everyone. If they would have done that for McCain instead, he would be the president… (which I would equally oppose if not more).
The whole argument for why people voted for him is simple, they were manipulated and told to vote for him… so they did as good sheeple do and voted for him.. sure there may have been people “moved” by his speeches, but Ron Pauls speeches were 100x better and moved people to take extreme measures, and that didnt really do much did it? so you think Obama’s great speeches are what did it? No… it was the great lighting, the make up, the special effects and the endorsements. The constant bombardment of the idea that he is the only good candidate and people like Ron Paul have no chance.
that is why we have Obama now going to take away our money and our rights to give to the rich.

It’s the typical rambling of someone who speaks before he thinks, not to mention of someone who doesn’t have the time or patience to concentrate on what he is typing. By the way, Ron Paul DID have an effective system for taking back the system, but the controlled media and its shills made sure Paul was the victim of a well-coordinated media blackout.
