Ron Paul: Stimulus Packages Will Turn Recession Into A Depression
Congressman warns that destruction of Dollar will compound depression beyond scale of 1930s crash

Texas Congressman Ron Paul has warned that passing the latest proposed economic stimulus package would be akin to pouring kerosene on an already raging fire.
Paul, who is also a member of the House Financial Services Committee, warned that such measures will cause a recession to turn into a full scale depression possibly worse than that of the 1930s.
During a Television interview with CNN, Paul explained why he believes stimulus funding is such a destructive policy.
“It’s because the government is spending it. If the people were spending it it would be fine, but the government never does anything productive. They have to take money from productive individuals and spend it in non productive ways, so it’s just digging a bigger hole, getting us into bigger debt, and that is the problem.” Paul said.
“This stimulus package is going to cost each and every American $6700 of more debt, so how can that be beneficial? If debt was the answer we would of never had a problem.”
“We are doing exactly what we did in the 1930s, we are taking a recession and working very hard to try and turn it into a depression.” The Congressman added.
“What we’re worried about right now, well certainly I am, is that it’s worse than the 30’s because we’re on the verge of destroying the dollar. So if you think the financial crisis is bad, and the financial system isn’t working, wait ’til you find out when the Dollar doesn’t work.”
The Congressman told viewers that only by liquidating debt, allowing the market to operate freely and allowing prices to come down will the problem be corrected.
Paul also spoke to those who have blamed the free market for the downturn and have suggested that deregulation is a primary cause of the financial crisis.
“We never had a hands off approach, that’s the fallacy, and as long as we believe that we will never correct our problem. If you blame Capitalism and free markets and sound money for this then we can’t win the intellectual fight.” Paul urged.
“If you want to regulate, regulate Government agencies, regulate the Treasury, regulate the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve has no oversight, they’re not even permitted to be audited by law, so that’s the kind of oversight we need. The Federal Reserve has committed trillions of dollars to individuals, corporations and banks, they don’t even have to tell us where it’s gone to.” he added.

The Congressman also appeared on MSNBC this morning to discuss the same issue.
One commentator suggested that Paul’s analysis was misguided because “The house is already on fire” and something must be done to put it out.
“You are correct, the house is on fire,” Paul fired back, “and you think you’re putting water on it, but I think you are pouring kerosene on it.” he added.
“We got into this mess by spending too much, borrowing too much and inflating too much. Government was too big and we had too many regulations. We had rejected the market economy for decades, we have rejected the notion of sound money for decades, and we got into a mess this way. So what is the proposal? Spend more money, borrow more money, print more money, regulate more, it makes no sense whatsoever.” Paul asserted.
The Congressman suggested that a more sound approach to the crisis would be to abolish income tax and business tax to get Americans spending, whilst simultaneously cutting overseas spending to cover revenue losses.
“But the problem is no one wants to cut the American Empire,” Paul explained.
“Even Obama’s administration wants to increase spending overseas and increase military spending. As long as you want to run the world empire at a trillion dollars a year, believe me you cannot solve this problem.” he added.

We can’t just moan and groan, we gotta act. We’re going to have a general strike on Memorial Day weekend. Everyone can take part for at least one hour, even if it’s at the family picnic. Even holding a sign “on strike” will generate talk. Even truckers at the truck stop can do it. Doctors and nurses can certainly find one hour over the three day weekend to do it. Teachers can hold a ‘teach-in’ about what it means in Latin countries to have a Gen. Strike. Like in Argentina, where the gov’t gunned down thousands and killed the strike.
The two major impediments to a genstrike are ‘no time’, and ‘no money’. So this solves both those problems. You fulfill your patriotic duties, and your self-important duties, and you don’t lose any money.

“12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

From the very first book of Old Testament Jewish hate literature, Genesis, chapter 47, verses 1-31, the Jews state that they enslaved the Egyptian People by contracting the money supply:
“1 Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
2 And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh.

18 When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:
19 Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.
20 And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s.
21 And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.
22 Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands.
23 Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.
24 And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.
25 And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants.

27 And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.
28 And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven years.
29 And the time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt:
30 But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said.
31 And he said, Swear unto me. And he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed’s head.”
In the Jewish Old Testament Torah book of Exodus 3:21-22; 11:2; 12:35-36, the Jews borrow the Egyptians’ gold and silver and steal them, then the Jews boast that they ruined the Egyptians economically in this way. The Egyptians likely used loops and rings of gold and silver as money. By stealing the Egyptians’ money, the Jews contracted the Egyptians’ money supply and thereby ruined them economically:
“3:21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty: 3:22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians. [***] 11:2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.
11:3 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people. [***] 12:35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:
12:36 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.”
The Jews are taught to pool their money and concentrate it in the hands of a few obscenely wealthy Jewish bankers, so that these money kings can exercise their power most efficiently and effectively. The Jewish Old Testament book of Proverbs 1:13-14 states:
“13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: 14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:”
From start to finish, the Old Testament tells the Jews that they should steal the wealth of non-Jews, enslave non-Jews, murder non-Jews and own all the property of the Earth. The Talmud justifies these inhuman and genocidal doctrines by claiming that God offered the Goyim the Law when Moses accepted it on behalf of the Hebrews on Sinai, but the Goyim refused the Law and failed to obey even the Noahide Laws, and therefore God gave the Jews all of the wealth of the Goyim as their prize for being God’s chosen People.
In its article “Gentile”, under the subheading “Rabbinical Modification of Laws”, The Jewish Encyclopedia states (note that “B. M.” signifies the tractate “Baba Mezia” in the Talmud and “B. K.” is tractate “Baba Kamma” of the Talmud):
“With regard to the text ‘This is the law when a man dieth in a tent’ (Num. xix. 14), they held that only Israelites are men, quoting the prophet, ‘Ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men’ (Ezek. xxxiv. 31); Gentiles they classed not as men but as barbarians (B. M. 108b). [***] The barbarian Gentiles who could not be prevailed upon to observe law and order were not to be benefited by the Jewish civil laws, framed to regulate a stable and orderly society, and based on reciprocity. The passage in Moses’ farewell address: ‘The Lord came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from Mount Paran’ (Deut. xxxiii. 2), indicates that the Almighty offered the Torah to the Gentile nations also, but, since they refused to accept it, He withdrew His ’shining’ legal protection from them, and transferred their property rights to Israel, who observed His Law. A passage of Habakkuk is quoted as confirming this claim: ‘God came from Teman, and the Holy One from Mount Paran. . . . He stood, and measured the earth; he beheld, and drove asunder [{Hebrew deleted} = 'let loose,' 'outlawed'] the nations’ (Hab. iii. 3-6); the Talmud adds that He had observed how the Gentile nations steadfastly refused to obey the seven moral Nachian precepts, and hence had decided to outlaw them (B. K. 38a).”–”Gentile”, The Jewish Encyclopedia, Funk and Wagnalls Company, New York, (1903), pp. 615-626, at 619-620.
From the very beginnings of the Tribe, the Jews have been money manipulaters who have been working to steal all of the wealth of the non-Jews. They believe they have a religious obligation to steal all of the gold and silver in the World and horde it in Jerusalem. The Jewish Old Testament book of Haggai 2:7-8 states:
“7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Higger wrote in his The Jewish Utopia that the Jews will come to possess all possessions:
“All the treasures and natural resources of the world will eventually come in possession of the righteous. This would be in keeping with the prophecy of Isaiah: ‘And her gain and her hire shall be holiness to the Lord; it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her gain shall be for them that dwell before the Lord, to eat their fill and for stately clothing.[Isaiah 23:18]‘20 Similarly, the treasures of gold, silver, precious stones, pearls, and valuable vessels that have been lost in the seas and oceans in the course of centuries will be raised up and turned over to the righteous.21 Joseph hid three treasuries in Egypt: One was discovered by Korah, one by Antoninus, and one is reserved for the righteous in the ideal world.22 [***] Gold will be of secondary importance in the new social and economic order. Eventually, all the friction, jealousy, quarrels, and misunderstandings that exist under the present system, will not be known in the ideal Messianic era.319 The city of Jerusalem will possess most of the gold and precious stones of the world. That ideal city will be practically full of those metals and stones, so that the people of the world will realize the vanity and absurdity of wasting their lives in accumulating those imaginary valuables.320″–M. The history of this Jewish war to steal the wealth of the World predates the Old Testament and likely began in Babylon, where the Apiru (Hebrews) departed from Ur taking with them their knowledge of money and how to use it to enslave the Goyim and rob them of their wealth. See: David Astle’s The Babylonian Woe. Wherever the Jews appear, their banking systems either immediately precede them, or soon follow them. The Jews destroyed the Monarchies and began the reformation movements to allow them to overcome the Catholic Church’s opposition to usury. In Islam, the Jews exploited the Muslims’ objections to usury to become the bankers of the Muslims.
The Jewish bankers are the heart and the head of the snake which has wrapped its venomous body around our hurting World. If we can eliminate the Jewish bankers, we can kill the snake. We should do to the bankers what they have done to our Monarchies, for they are the aristocracy of the Jews.
We should prohibit all Jews from engaging in banking, finance, commodities and equities markets, etc. We should issue warrants for the arrest of all members of Jewish banking families and permanently close all Jewish banking houses and confiscate all of their assets. We should do likewise to all Jews who have ever been involved in the financial, commodities and equities markets. Those Jews who fail to surrender themselves to the court should be tried in absentia and upon conviction death warrants should issue making those named military targets of opportunity for execution. Rewards of 10% of all confiscated assets should be offered and honored. Let the Jews turn on their own. The homes of the rich Jews should be made museums, and their artwork and other important assets should be turned over to national museums, or to the national purse. Again, we should deal to the Jewish banking aristocracy the same fate they have given to our Monarchies.
When we have purged the Jews from banking and government, we will be able to issue debt free fiat currency and regulate its supply and create incentives to spend it as we wish without Jewish subversion. We will deprive the Jews of one of their major incentives to drive us into wars, and we shall deprive them of the incentive to bankrupt us, because our debt free currencies will bear no obligation to surrender to them our property. If we were to adopt the Jews’ gold standard, or otherwise back our money with hard assets, the Jews would have the incentive to drive us into wars to increase our debts, then to drive us into bankruptcy so that they could foreclose on our gold and other national and private property.
We must lift the Jewish claw from atop our banks and open up loan capital to all our citizens without incurring any national debt. We will also be able to finally eliminate taxes and the attendant bureaucracies.

Intelligence does not always (but is certainly always capable of) stop full-bore stupidity.
Ron Paul seems to unthinkingly assume that everything Private Sector is democratic, civic, and voluntary/volitional; whereas everything in Public Sector is commands, authoritarianism, and direct orders like the military. This is not true, and RP is wrong to assume that.
Public Sector can be every bit as democratic and volitional as the “private sector” (all the big private corps. feed from the public trough these days anyway- in case RP and others haven’t noticed that yet).
What matters (in terms of an institution being civic or volitional as opposed to authoritarian) most often is whether the institution is local or foreign- not (so-called) Private or Public.
Perhaps RP makes himself feel better (he was formerly a hero sprinter or sth. like that) by taking the stance that he does- and its certainly good in terms of debate and deliberation that someone can be relied upon to take that stance. But for RP to say that the public sector “never does anything good” is just plain childish.
Public sector is what keeps us all from being enserfed to distant foreign monopoly holding co’s that are increasingly coming to dominate every industry. Destroying the people’s public sector is the fastest way to have the neo-feudalism of a handful of globo-elite holding companies’ corpocracy. Seen the movie “Idiocracy” yet? Who do you think is going to stand up to that? Rupert Murdoch?

Ron Paul should study economics.
A stimulus package only turns a recession into a depression if it is made up of tax cuts.
if it is investment in jobs and products, people can start working and selling and earning money again
if you own a garage and you go broke and cannot compete with the guys around, you either go under or you take out a loan to invest in getting your garage competive.
You don’t take out a loan to blow it at Wall Mart. That is what Zionists Lawrence Summers wants the US to do. But then the Zionists want the US to collapse so they can introduce the Amero and all North America.
If there is no stimulus package that is clever, the US will collapse anyway just like a garage that has no more revenue and jsut debts goes bust if it can’t get producing quickly.

Although I agree with Ron Paul on most issues, I disagree with him on the issue of how best to solve the current economic crisis, because the Austrian School approach he advocates would, if implemented, impose on us a deflationary “cure” that’s even worse than the inflationary “disease.”
The only way to truly fix this mess is to (a) wipe out all derivatives, and (b) replace our collapsible, debt-based money supply with a non-collapsible, debt-free money supply.

Dr. Ron Paul is right. Non-productive government will take our money and spend it on temporary jobs of questionable value. The political cronies vying for government contracts will be the only winners. There will be no trickle down in this economy.
We need more worthwhile production. The only way the government can help to increase worthwhile production is to downsize government and lower taxes.
Creating temporary jobs will actually make things worse. It will compete with productive enterprises for talent.
Our children will be left with debts and our elderly will be left out in cold when medicare fails in 2019. All in all I see no one doing anything constructive.

For anyone out there who thinks we the people are being well-served by Rep. Paul, Rep. Kucinich, or Rep. Conyers… time to wake up and smell the coffee.
They’re almost as prone to errors, prejudices, and logical fallacies as the others.
Better start thinking for yourselves. They’re no heroes on Capitol Hill- not even 1 or 2- just weathervanes; most of them on sale to the highest bidder; but a few still with their own stubborn ideological stances.

I agree with Ron Paul; HOWEVER he has some serious problems. Why is he not capable of saying “Here is what I would do……..” This is why the media and the public get tired of him. He is a politician trying to be a professor. People want answers and not an economics lecture. If he just answered their questions and laid out a plan he would be much, much more popular. If he keeps this nonsense up it isn’t long before he stops getting invited to appear on these kind of shows, and that will only hurt his chance of getting the message out.
