Ron Paul Warns Swine Flu Scare Will Be Used As Precedent For More Big Government
Repeat of 1976 fearmongering campaign in full swing

“Step back and think for a minute before rushing and panicking” is the message coming from Texas Congressman Ron Paul who has warned that the swine flu scare will once again be used as a precedent for big government intrusion.
“It makes me think back to 1976, the first year I served in the Congress,” Paul has said in a video update. “We had a vote on the swine flu. Back then there was panic, they said it was going to sweep the nation and they rapidly came up with some flu shots and the government was going to inoculate everybody and save the world from this disaster.”
“It turned out that our instincts were correct.” the Congressman, also a medical physician, commented. “Not only did we think that the government should be involved in making medical decisions… but the flu came, the flu went and one person died, except for those individuals that died from getting the flu vaccine.”
Earlier this week we reported on the events of 1976, highlighting the fact that this last significant outbreak of swine flu in the U.S. originated at the army base at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
President Gerald Ford and then Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld (a man who has long standing intimate ties with the big pharma companies that have and will reap millions in profits from these scares) instituted a mass nationwide vaccination program. More than 40 million people were vaccinated. However, the program was stopped short after over 500 cases of Guillain-Barre syndrome, a severe paralyzing nerve disease, were reported. Officially 30 people died as a direct result of the vaccinations, though the real figure is generally thought to have been much higher.
At the time Congressman Ron Paul was one of only two representatives to vote down the vaccination program. His comments were recorded in the book Swine Flu Expose, by Eleanora I. McBean, Ph.D., N.D.
Paul described the move as “a shocking misuse of funds …and an evil political maneuver”, “blatant advertising efforts to panic the people into taking Swine Flu shots will fail.” Paul said.

“Here we are once again, swine flu coming up and everybody is panicking.” Ron Paul says in his latest update.
“This is not to downplay the seriousness of it. Some people have died, some people might die, yet we’ve had no deaths in this country, there’s seven or eight cases up in New York, but none have even been hospitalised and yet it’s practically like we’ve been attacked by nuclear weapons.”
The Congressman put the current panic in perspective by pointing out that last year alone there were 13,000 cases of tuberculosis with the number of annual deaths last recorded in the hundreds.
Paul then opined on how the scare will once again be pounced upon to bolster and further empower big government. He referred to Janet Napolitano’s announcement Sunday that the Department of Homeland Security had started “passive surveillance protocols to screen people coming into the country.”
“How did the Department of Homeland Security get into the medical business? It’s just totally out of control,” Paul said, describing the situation as an open door invitation to allow the federal government to deal with medical problems.
The big question is ‘Does a bigger government always solve these problems?’ No, they usually make things much worse.

In somes instances the federal government does have a right to defend the population from pathogens. As a former marine trained in NBC warfare, i will say that the virus bug seems not to be as virulent as the mexico city version and probably has mutated to a safer form. Also, people in the US have better health and diet so it will probably not be fatal. I say get ready for the worst, and watch. However, the media is not being resposible in reporting this.
However, from containment pont, te airports are a great place to screen passangers because we can contain it allot easier. Also, people that are sick flying back home can be put into a hospital treated and survive the bug through proper medical inverventions.

According to the LA Times, Mexicans are going back to Mexico because all the employment opportunities have gone – fewer home-owners means fewer decorators, gardeners and construction workers.

In 1970, Dr. Linus Pauling recommended that most people could prevent colds by taking between 250 milligrams to 1,000 milligrams (1/4 to 1 gram) of Vitamin C daily. You have hit the nail square on the head my friend! The research is abundantly clear – Vitamin C saves lives. If your doctor tells you the daily recommended amount is fine, then get a new doctor or educate them. If your pharmacist plays poo-poo on the notion that vitamin c does more, then go to a new pharmacy. Whatever you do get yourself away from anyone and everyone who thinks they know better about ascorbic acid than the thousands of dedicated doctors who know differently.
Another good doctor to google is Dr. Klenner whose colleagues wrote a “treatment guide” utilizing his life’s work after he died. I have cured my own colds with vitamin c, my 2year old son also. My wife is now taking a gram a day and my father-in-law is taking 2 grams day.
The only thing to watch out for when buying vitamin C is the ingredient list. Don’t buy any brand unless the ingredient list completely checks out. For example I went to buy some 500mg chewables made by EsterC and they had ASPARTAME in them!! The eugenicists are slick devils and so even though you’re trying to get healthy the mainstream corporations will still try to slow-kill you.

Exactly, Vitamin C is a panacea substance. At the first sign of flu take 2000mg first dose, followed by 1000mg every hour or two. If you experience diarrhea, that’s normal for such high doses. Interestingly enough, when you’re sick you can tolerate much higher levels of Vitamin C (probably because it’s be used more readily.) Do this until your symptoms have gone away. Also I’ve discovered that Cold-eeze zinc lozenges, available at any supermarket or drug store, works amazingly well too. I would put it right up there with Vitamin C in it’s ability to shorten the duration and symptoms of flu. Taken together with the vitamin C has worked for me every time I develop a cold(sometimes knocking it out over-night.) So listen to the “quack” Linus Pauling, a genius if ever there was one. He lived to the ripe old age of 93, no doubt outliving his orthodox peers. Regular vitamin C (ascorbic acid) works just fine, but stick with the name brand cold-eeze zinc lozenges produced by the Quigley company. Researches have found only specific formulations of zinc lozenges work, while others are useless.

Well as a military member, I can tell you the first time I ever saw a comercial on the propaganda military controlled AFN. Was back in mid 06 while I was in Korea. I just remember thinking to myself “what the hell is bird flu, influenza?” Now it is all over the place. I just wanted to comment so we can get some sort of a time line as to when this soliciting fear started.
Its amazing how superimposing an idea on people for a long enough time will make everyone an expert on the agenda that you’ve tought them. Before 9/11, noone had ever heard of the Taliban or Al Qaeda. Now based on the superimposed idea’s of the groups, EVERYONE knows what they’ve been told they know. 3 years ago, not many people had any idea about bird flu, or Influenza, and now EVERYONE knows they should be afraid of it. Its amazing how gullable people are. Those 1976 commercials are classic. I love telling people about the 1976 situation and letting them know just what their precious goverment truly is capable of.

Anyone else find it interresting that this is hitting Mexico in a way unlike anything seen anywhere else on the globe? Most cases outside Mexico don’t even require treatment…
Someone gets a fever and a sore throat and all of a sudden it’s cop flu… and not just your run of the mill fever/flu? Not buying it…

You conspiracy nutcases are the laughing stock of ordinary, well-adjusted people. You’re all crying wolf for the Nth time since 9/11, and are either too stubborn or slow-witted to acknowledge how many embarrassing contributions you’ve made to the stereotype of a drug-abusing, non-thinking, conspiracy-obsessed subculture.
What ever happened to the Bush military coup that was certain to occur before the 2008 elections? Aww, never happened!
Oh wait guys! I know why! The Bilderbergs and the Federal Reserve and the Free Masons are just taking orders from the Illuminati reptile-men to allow the elections to pass normally in order to create a false image of democratic legitimacy! Here’s what’s really going to happen: instead of Bush launching a military coup before the elections, the elite will instruct him to allow Obama to win, and then declare martial law AFTER the elections (Nov. 4th) but BEFORE Obama is formally inaugurated (Jan. 20th).
Martial law was never declared. You looked like fools… yet again.
When are you non-thinking children going to open your eyes and wake up? The world is not a comic book. Successful, intelligent world leaders are not out to get you. Nobody is trying to poison or attack or enslave or control you. Calm down. Turn off the Xbox, put down your weed pipes, and be like me: attain a higher education.
I am 21 years old, currently writing a lengthy Masters thesis in International Relations, and on track to receive a nice scholarship for a PhD in Government. I am already light-years ahead of people like you who have chosen to believe in an imaginary fantasy rather than do something meaningful and productive.
The only reason I look at this sight is because it is genuinely amusing to me how paranoid all of you are. There is something truly pathological about the amount of raw, unfounded fear on this website – mixed with delusional misperceptions, gross oversimplifications, and often humorous predictions.
Here’s my prediction: this swine flue is going to go fizzle away like every single one of your past allegations and predictions have.

So, assume that vaccinations become mandatory. What will you do? You say you will fight. How? Will you shoot people?
How is mandatory to be enforced? A fine doesn’t protect others. What if you refuse? Will they shoot you? Take your children?
Is this the time when the FEMA trains get loaded up with all those who refuse the vaccines? Will this be used to protect the ’sensible, patriot, normal’ people who do their duty and take the vaccine?
Will everyone who took the vaccine be mobilized against their neighbors and ‘loved’ ones who refuse?
Is this how some will be loaded onto train cars, sent into the night to camps, while their own neighbors not lift a finger to help?
