Two of the biggest names in the City of London had previously undisclosed links to slavery in the British colonies, documents seen by the Financial Times have revealed.
Nathan Mayer Rothschild, the banking family’s 19th-century patriarch, and James William Freshfield, founder of Freshfields, the top City law firm, benefited financially from slavery, records from the National Archives show, even though both have often been portrayed as opponents of slavery.
Far from being a matter of distant history, slavery remains a highly contentious issue in the US, where Rothschild and Freshfields are both active.
Companies alleged to have links to past slave injustices have come under pressure to make restitution.
JPMorgan, the investment bank, set up a $5m scholarship fund for black students studying in Louisiana after apologising in 2005 for the company’s historic links to slavery.

Yes ! So painful is the memory of slavery in America ,that each year tens of thousands of African -Americans drop the American suffix and return to Africa to live.
Since the advent of air travel has made the trip much easier.
Oh yes, with a phenomenal high drop out rate among high school students, and those public schools which is standards are so high.

Once a professor speculated that the Jamaicans and other so called “West Indies” need to leave and return the caribbean islands to the Caribbeans Indians. Further more they were responsible for hunting down and killing the native people at the behalf of the slaver master.

Since they were now free and had Africa to return home too, and should not continue to occupy the islands.

Living in South Georgia, and growing up through the early days of Civil Rights, I can tell you that Blacks are still not given a true opportunity to achieve this education, social, or economic equality. It is not done through some “laziness” factor, but through legislation and police thuggery. This is but a small microcosm of what the rest of the country experiences as well. It is not solely a problem of the South, but of the entire country. When the only real economic opportunity for any segment of society is sports, rap, or drugs, and the school system isn’t designed to educate, but propogandize the student, then there will be no improvement in an entire class. This prejudice doesn’t really come from the “redneck” faction, but the top-tiered economic faction as they are the ones who have the ability to ensure these policies are written and codified. If you are are a People of the state you were born in then you are a sovereign and NO legislated law applies to you. If you are a Citizen of the United States under the 14th amendment “all persons born…in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof….” then the government has jurisdiction over you (all legislated laws apply), i.e. you have privileges not rights. The People established the government, the government rules over its Citizens, don’t you want to be a People rather than a Citizen?
Citzens have no rights to keep and bear arms, free speech, privacy against search and sizure, etc. Everything is applied to you with your permission. You signed a 1040 “under penalty of perjury” and thus signed away your rights or did you put “under duress”, or “without prejudice” above your sig.
Any mention of Law in the constitution of the United States or the individual States refers to the supreme law-the Common law. There is only 1 basic rule under Common Law “you are liable for any injury you cause to another flesh and blood man/woman/child” . With victimless crimes under legislated law there is NO injured party, yet it’s always the People of [State] vs YOU. Where’s the plaintiff (complaining party)? Does the Prosecuter have a signed power of atty. from any People to represent them? Of course a man in a uniform will use his gun to kidnap you but you have the right and just cause to sue him for fraud and under Title 18, 242 he is liable for any trespass against your person that isn’t lawful. Slavery, reparations, sold out! Those are just a few of the many terms that blacks use when they cry foul over and about slavery. I agree that slavery of any kind is and was bad, but many people are ignorant of uninformed of the fact that there were almost as many black plantation owners who had slaves of both skin colors (black&white). One of the biggest farms in tennessee and louisiana back in the 1800’s were owned by blacks! Another thing to remember, if some of you folks don’;t know is the fact that the blacks that came outta africa were sold by their own tribesman! They had the choice of being eaten, or being sold into slavery! So, enough of the poor ole little me thing for a while, and definitely enough of the white man owes me also! No surprise here. These narcissistic families have had their tentacles all over everything for a very long time. Something is very rotten on the British Isle and has been for a very long time.
There seems to be this superior attitude from the British elite…that all human beings are inept and stupid…except for them of course…so they need to rule everyone…which translates to coercion and control. By what standard do they base this misguided belief?? Are they not people just like everyone else…albeit with financial privilege? Since when did piles of possessions translate to wisdom?? Why do people allow these misguided people to make policy? Ahhh, that’s right, they bribe them and so many people are gullible…and pander to their own ego.
Isn’t it interesting how, in the past, the poorest of the Brits gave us ideas for our greatest freedoms, while the control mongers tried to hold them down? They asserted themselves and brought about great change. Assertion is a bigger key, not violence, but assertion.
