Russian admiral: Our Black Sea fleet can destroy NATO’s group in 20 minutes

Former Russian Black Sea Fleet commander, Adm. Eduard Baltin was quoted by Moscow media as saying Friday, Aug. 29: “Despite the apparent strength of the NATO naval group in the Black Sea… a single salvo from the Moskva missile cruiser and two or three missile boats would be enough to annihilate the entire group. Within 20 minutes, the waters would be clear.”
Adm. Baltin added: “We will not strike first, and they do not look like people with suicidal tendencies.”
The Russian Fleet deploys 16 warships in the Black Sea compared with 10 NATO vessels – three American, Polish, German and Spanish frigates, and four Turkish warships, soon to be augmented by another six, including the USS Mount Whitney, which is considered one of the most advanced warships in the world.

In Washington, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino rejected Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin’s assertion that US personnel were in the combat zone during the war in Georgia and “someone in the United States” provoked the conflict to help one of the candidates in the American presidential race.

You all missed the point. The Russian military, or navy does not have the power to do as they described. This was simply a veiled nuclear threat. Russia is making it quite clear that they are aware of the fact that NATO would never use such weapons and they would without hesitation…It is also very revealing with respect to their conventional means, which are terribly limited…Every threat from Russia has a nuclear implication…It’s the only ACE they have to play…They will play that card mark my words.

Im pretty sure Russia could wipe those ships out in the black sea without much trouble even if it didnt have any of its own ships there… aircraft with 2000 mile range cruise missles, land-based cruise missles, land based aircraft etc.

Until now, only the US has ever used nuclear weapons. On civilian targets no less while beforehand ignoring attempts by the Japanese government to capitulate. They had to test the bomb first and make a clear statement to the rest of the world. If you do not as you are told, we will bring fire from the sky.

I am reading the “The Third Temple’s Holy of Hollies: Israel’s Nuclear Weapons” by Warner D. Farr, Lt. Col. US Army (Sept 1999). It is a about 26 pages that claims Israel was trying to get a nuclear weapons program since 1948 and worked with France and later the US (LBJ) by spying, lying, blackmail, stealing, and potentially assassination to gain the technology. If you look at the timing of their covert program, it does make the potential for involvement in assassination plots against JFK and DeGaul who both opposed nuclear proliferation to Israel.
It states that they were able to “cobble together” 2 nukes in time for the 1967 was with Egypt and Syria, while Egypt was estimating it would be 1968 before they could have a working nuke. Supposedly they were 2 weeks too late. No one wanted to call their bluff, and see if they worked.
Now the whole world is paying for letting the state of Israel build up its nuclear weapons production by any means available, many times illegal or criminal means.
Harry Truman was completely blackmailed by the Chicago/LA Zionist mob, and was their puppet allowing Japanese/American southern California real estate and even more valuable German patents to be stolen by mobsters appointed to key positions in his administration. I would have to think that they had some input the decision into dropping nukes on Japan as a true test.
Immediately afterward the new State of Israel was formed and the drive to get nuclear weapons was begun working with France. Even though France and Israel were not usually provided assistance directly, they spied and shared information to develop their early programs.

Good post Ghost_Ryder, that SS-N-22 can cripple our fleet in an instant. Armed with a nuclear warhead, that thing can vaporize a aircraft carrier and we have nothing “proven” to be able to stop it. This is a bad scenario and the brain-dead public needs to stop thinking that the U.S. military is the strongest power on Earth. Russia is sick and tired of the meddling that the U.S. government has been engaged in and I don’t think they’d hesitate to kick our ass. Especially in their territory.

@ Mike: I have no doubt Russia has every intention of using nuclear weapons against the West when the time is right. I just think they want more time to modernise their conventional forces first, but their hand may be forced if Anglo-America puts them “in check” in the Caucasus and cntral Asian regions.
With the West’s economies wobbling, with the emerging food crisis, the energy crisis, and all the martial law provisions, including “Main Core”, everything is being set up for a “hot war” rather than a new cold war.

I am one who happens to believe that there are always international interests who drool at the prospect of a new cold or hot war. They, as well as selective corporations and contractors always make out like a rose from any such conflict, at the expense of the masses. May I reference War is a Racket, by Major General Smedley Butler? Having said that, it is always interesting to read the opinions of those who state them regarding an armed naval exchange in the Black Sea. I have only read a couple of comments from those who have made them that make the correct analysis. The Russian fleet would decimate the NATO fleet in no time at all. The Moskva packs 16 SS-N-12 Sandbox missiles. That is a supersonic anti-ship missile. Depending upon which additional vessels are included in the Russian fleet, apart from the Moskva, in any theoretical exchange, perhaps the Kerch (she is a Black Sea Fleet asset which may not have the offensive firepower of the Moskva, but she does add additional air and anti-cruise missile capacity…never forget that our Tomahawk ASM’s, or TASM, is a subsonic missile), as well as the Smetlivy, the Bora (this is what I believe the Russian Admiral was referring to ) which is “only” a corvette but packs the SS-N-22 Sunburn (another supersonic anti-ship missile), her sister vessel the Samum (more SS-N-22 Sunburns), the Shtil (subsonic anti-ship missiles) and the Mirazh (subsonic anti-ship missiles), and you have the potential for one hell of a mess for any NATO Aegis equipped vessels to sort out and engage. AGEIS is a fine system, but it can be easily overwhelmed. The Standard Missile, in all of its varients, is a fine missile, but it won’t be able to knock down that many anti-ship missiles…not that many supersonic anti-ship missiles. That’s even assuming that there are no air assets lobbing nasty stuff like the Kitchen equipped (supersonic anti-ship missile) Backfire Bomber. I’m sure that the Moskva would be lost in action, as well, but she wouldn’t have to fire first and she would STILL sink that NATO task force before she ever took a hit from a Tomahawk, Harpoon, or Exocet. The thing that is most interesting to me is that the USS Mount Whitney is actually reported as joing the NATO task force. That’s the Command Ship of the 6th Fleet. That’s the Flagship of the US Navy’s 6th Fleet. Interesting. I don’t want another war…and certainly not one with the Russians.

Do you really think the U.S. tells all they have? Area 51 and all the top secret testing and equipment should answer the question 4 u. Besides I know the NWO has their plans for domination and I am aware of the camps and chip implants etc. Regardless of all this soon coming nightmare, which I predict will be kicked into high gear in 2010, June actually. The U.S. Trident submarines will and can launch a multitude of nuclear missles at Russia if it even fires one missle.
