CNN is airing misleading footage of the war between Georgia and Russia, skewing public opinion in favor of the Georgians, according to a Russia Today cameraman interviewed this morning.
The Russia Today satellite TV company aired the interview on its English language news channel but the story is yet to appear on the Internet or in any other news outlet.
The Russian cameraman charged that CNN had used his footage of Georgian forces attacking Russian civilians in Tskhinvali, the provincial capital of South Ossetia, but then claimed it showed Russians attacking Georgians in the Georgian town of Gori.

The Georgian assault on Tskhinvali, described as an act of genocide and a war crime by Russian officials and other eyewitnesses, led to the slaughter of at least 2,000 civilians. The fact that Georgia, backed by the U.S. and Israel, were responsible for the provocation that led to the Russian response, has been buried by the majority of western corporate media.
Western media bias to skew popular opinion in favor of the U.S. and NATO client state Georgia was evident from the very start of the conflict.
As we reported yesterday, a prime example of media bias in shielding Georgia from responsibility for the carnage is the fact that news outlets like the BBC continue to report that thousands of civilians were killed in Georgia, with the obvious inference being that these are victims of the Russian onslaught. But these victims were not killed in Georgia, they were killed in Ossetia – by Georgian forces.
As the Chimes of Freedom Blog elaborates, “While the Ossetians claimed over 1000 dead the BBC neither reported this or any newsreel coming out of Ossetia showing the destruction caused by the Georgian shelling of the breakaway republic. All we are getting is one-sided reports of the destruction being caused by the Russians.”
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev this morning ordered an immediate halt to Russia’s military operations against Georgia.
“The purpose of the operation has been achieved…. The security of our peacekeeping forces and the civilian population has been restored,” Interfax quoted him as saying.
UPDATE: Russia Today has now posted the following on their website and uploaded a video.
CNN accused of using misleading war footage
American broadcaster CNN has been accused of using misleading footage in their coverage of the conflict in South Ossetia. A Russian cameraman says footage of wrecked tanks and ruined buildings, which was purported to be the town of Gori, was in fact the South Ossetian capital Tskhinvali.
Gori was said to be about to fall under the control of the Russian army but the cameraman says the video was actually shot in Tskhinvali, which had been flattened by Georgian shelling.
Aleksandr Zhukov, from the Russiya Al-Yaum channel, said: “When we arrived and news came that Gori was being shelled, I saw my footage. I said: that’s not Gori! That’s Tskhinvali. Having crawled through the length and breadth of Tskhinvali, I don’t need much to tell from which point this or that footage was recorded. I can swear in front of any tribunal. I can point at this location on the map of the town, because I and the cameraman of the Rossiya channel videotaped that.”

I knew that ABC news was lying when the Russian’s story of the events was not shown. BTW… Putin stated that it was Georgia that attacked in a recent interview which was not shown on ABC

One idea already.
Get all or alot of sympathetic AND GOOD underground musicians to make the sacrifice and curtail copyrighting of their names so that they may all name themselves after our army, perhaps named: Good-Bilderburg (good because its abstract and will FORCE anyone with interest to discover what BILDERBURG is to begin with.) Just imagine 50-100 of the coolest bands and hip-hop artists all named the same in solidarity and in consequence EXPOSURE.

i can lead you . i have been recomending something simular for a while now. i had an idea i like to call the “sit” approach. heres how it would go. imagine thousands and thousands if not millions of truly non arm bearers pick a date to head to the capitol. we would overcrowd the entire city. if everyone just sits peacefuly and not budge for an indefinate amount of time until the people who have sopposedly “sworn to serve and protect us” takes these cowards out in handcuffs or atleast demand a new independent investigation what would they do ? but the “sitting” is very important. why ? becouse if all are sitting when the tough guys in there black uniforms, shields, and little batons arrive they will not be able to beat anyone.they will have no right to say we were being violant. and if anyone of the sitters stands he is eighter a cop or someone who deserves to get beat. if they do they will show the rest of americans at home whom are still undicided or do not believe how violent and unethical these guys truly are and it would spark an outrage. im sure not only in the u.s but thats the main goal for now.what we need is to win COMPASSION from the people. when that is accompished game over. and again this is just ONE idea from ONE person. imagine how many good ideas we can have if everyone comes together on this. if anybody is down please let me know becouse i for one am ready to leave everything behind until this whole debacle gets fixed. i will sit there in hunger if i have to. peace to all. and dont let these new militia guys fool you into thinking you need violance to fight violance please. they will just be the future tyrants of the world if they win.same thing new faces.

It is the Gandhi model of passive resistance. Where you do not so much as raise a fist in defiance but still you defy. In sufficient numbers, under the right circumstances it would have some impact. It takes a lot of people willing to take a beating without even yelling in protest. A silent crowd getting beaten without any attempt to defend themselves would be dynamite. Do you think they would show coverage of it?
Not to be discounted though are the people who appear to be demonstrators but who then start smashing things up and assaulting law officers that conveniently justifies the baton charges and the tear gas. (See many anti-globalism marches and other assorted initially peaceful and politically inconvenient demonstratons).

Anyone ever see the Documentary where Russel Simmons of Def Comedy jam tries to form legislation with gov. I do not imply to lead, but as an architect men and women of their stature and occupation must be controlled (scary word-i know) by the central think-tank and their directives. As a movement in the open and not a secret society, all orders will be law-abiding and initially of an exposure and enlistment manner. Oaths must be taken, to be preceded by the constitutional oath, which I doubt would be opposed, but would be ruinous if it was. We are on soviergn land, after all, even if the Feds think it’s thiers.

There’s a series of photos in the Washington Post that at one point describe a certain tank as Georgian and a few photos further the same tank is back in a line of tanks described as Russian.
Guess they’re leaving this war reporting to interns while they focus on the ‘games’ and the really important stuff like Oprah’s stories in the entertainment section.

Another idea of fighting and doing nothing is to encourage as many as you can to stop buying products from those who support the NWO. Some analysts are claiming that Georgia’s offensive into SO was the result of pro-Russia Rebels attacking Georgian forces. If this is true, then even though there would be no excuse for the killing of 2,000 civilians, Georgia’s offensive to dispel separatist activities could have an air of legitimacy.

I will tell you one thing that everyone can do…which some of us have been doing…but certainly not enough!…It is to make signs and to become your media! In Tucson Arizona we have not only created a network of people who make and post signs all over the city… but I have also started my own NEWS Station which is now seeking support from locals ….but I have made a difference! So far we have made and posted over 900 signs! Anyone who lives in Tucson Az can tell you that if they leave the house…period! Or drive anywhere at all…..they have seen our signs!

Believe it or not but it does work! My favorite is a bicycle trailer which I made…Sporting two 8′X4′ Ron Paul signs back to back on a frame with two small bike tires in the back. Now I use the big signs as a backboard which I have attached around six (Very readable) signs to! Every day I ride my bike during Rush Hour traffic on a different street…..and believe it or not….my exposure is HUGE! Thousands of people see them daily! Whether or not it does any good?! Who knows …but I won’t stop!
***If you or a friend know even one person in Tucson z….call them and ask if they have seen our signs? ..Or my bicycle? You would be amazed how many people have seen them…out of a city of ONE MILLION! What can one person do?

I wish I could say that I am surprised and shocked at the less than worthless coverage we are getting from the MSM about the present Georgian/Russian conflict. like many of you out there I’ve come to expect this bulls**t. Rather, I would be surprised if anything even resembling the truth were to come from all these (no word I can think of is disparaging enough). Everyone here can be the media! In a good size city…How many people each day pass a certain busy intersection during only ONE Hour ..specifically rush hour! Many thousands! Not just One thousand….but many thousands! …Every week day! Seriously, All it takes is a couple of dedicated people with a few choice Sign Boards…properly done, and you can inform a lot of people on a daily basis! Keep in mind, done professionally. There are obvious concerns here, regarding the legitimacy of official story. You also have a president willing to act on it on such information. Mistake, or by design?
Motive? Control.
Method? Create enemies and manipulate the western media. Threaten those who refuse to comply with economic sanctions and/or military action. The line between the two seemingly non-existent/
If you think the media and the politician don’t have this capability then look at Iraq, Iran, Afhanistan..look at your own country, the United States.
That country, the United States, is also being destroyed from the south by means of a racist, globalist agenda that has the full backing of congress. You can’t do anything about it because your right to do that is being destroyed from within, by your own representatives.
The balance of power in this country is largely an authority unto itself, having the capability to do the same elsewhere and at any cost. As history has shown where there is tyranny thousands die, thousands are made homeless and thousands cast into poverty. Yet people here are too pre-occupied with labelling other as “anti-American” or “conspiracy nuts” for having the temerity of question.
This is not the America our forefathers would want. It’s not the America we want. The gravity of this situation is self-evident and it’s clear who’s destroying this country, it’s not the people – it’s the minority of people who claim to speak and act on their behalf.

The car sign folds just above the trunk so it saves gas when I am moving…it just bends back. And a bungee cord pulls it back up when I stop! it’s funny as hell and it works! I used a 4′X2′Ron Paul sign as a backboard..then you can just change the printout from your computer by spray glueing it to the sign! It doesn’t take me long! Works Great!

William! There’s truth to what you are saying about a minority that disregards the the opinions of the rest of the nation. Then again, if my whole family were just massacred before my eyes, it would be very hard for me not to harbor some resentment towards those people who stood by in close proximity to the ones who issued the death command. Essentially, Americans are not responding in ways that are commensurate to the atrocities that are being commited in their names.
So you waved placard. So you posted your indignation on the web. I don’t know, man. I think you might react somewhat differently if you had seen YOUR children dismembered by high explosives.

I really don’t think anybody should be surprised by this. The way the media is reporting what’s going on a person would think Russia invaded Georgia. Georgia was doing nothing and right out of the blue they get invaded by Russia. Also, there is no mention of the US or Isrealy soldiers that are with the Georgian forces. But then in Canada Globle TV is just Fox News Canada.

I have a friend in Russia who I get my news from. You can’t get the absolute truth even from Russia news, because the Jews control the big newspapers. The people of Russia learn the truth from the Internet and from smaller newspapers. They learn just like we learn.
