Russian units raid Georgian airfields for use in Israeli strike against Iran – report

raids of two Georgian airfields, which Tbilisi had allowed Israel to use for a potential strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities, followed the Georgian offensive against South Ossetia on Aug. 7.
Under the secret agreement with Georgia, the airfields had been earmarked for use by Israeli fighter-bombers taking off to strike Iran in return for training and arms supplies.
DEBKAfile’s intelligence sources report that flying from S. Georgia over the Caspian Sea to Iran would sharply trim the distance to be spanned by Israeli fighter-bombers, reducing flying time to 3.5 hours.
Northern Iran and the Tehran region, where most of the nuclear facilities are concentrated, would be within range, with no need to request US permission to pass through Iraq air space.

Russian Special Forces also raided other Israeli facilities in southern Georgia and captured Israeli spy drones, says the report.
Israel was said to have used the two airfields to “conduct recon flights over southern Russia as well as into nearby Iran.” The US intelligence sources quoted by UPI reported that the Russian force also carried home other Israeli military equipment captured at the air bases.
Our sources say that if the Russians got hold of an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle complete with sophisticated electronic reconnaissance equipment, they will have secured some of the IDF’s most secret devices for spying on Iran and Syria.

i got question remember that P-3 eletronic warfare plane that colided with a chinese aircraft and was forced to land in china why didnt they bailout and let plane crash in the water? The Israelis really miscalculated what the green lighting of an operation they had been planning for over a year to murder Russian citizens in a region not controlled by Georgia would mean to them. It is one thing to murder helpless palestinions or even for Israel to murder women and children in Lebonon, but Russia will not sit by and let Israel help murder its citizens…

No, Israel couldn’t have ok-ed the Georgian incursion into S Ossertia. There was time for that and nothing pressing to lose if stupid Suckassili only waited. What would have been more important and of immense value to Israel is using Georgia as a secret launching pad for its operations into Iran-that value for Israel would have been priceless. It also explains why Israel saw red when they learned about it and threatened not to give Suckassili any more arms/training aid, at the time I had thought it was just the usual Israeli propaganda but this explains it.
This leaves only Cheney as the culprit. His imprint is all over it now. If Suckassili was bright enough to confirm Cheney’s instructions to attack, either from the White house proper or with Israel he would have been stopped but he was itching for the History books, just like Boy George, and the banner ‘The king who slew the Russian bear.’ If Suckassili kept his cool, Iran would never have known what hit them or from where. It’s very clear that if Israel launched its planes from Iraq or across Lebanon there would Intel. Suckassili messed Israel up real good.

Israel has the right to protect it self. Iran claims that it wants to wipe out Israel; there for Iran should not have nuclear weapons. do not mix up Israel’s right to protect itself with Empires that conquer countries inorder to steal their resources.

Iran has never attacked another country, in the Iraq-Iran war it was Iraq that attacked Iran. Israel has attacked other countries, attack on Iraq, Lebanon, and always bombing Palestinians. The palestinians never massacred the jews it was Hitler, yet the Jews are now the Hitler over the innocent Palestinians whos land the jews took over. What did the Palestinians ever do to the jews to have their land taken over and be constantly bombed? Why don’t the jews go and bomb the Germans!
