  • Satire: Pundits defend throwing money into America’s giant ‘money hole’

With government bailouts to bad businesses expected to cost trillions, pundits in a recent Onion News Network segment take on the notion that America should stop throwing money into its treasured “National Money Hole.”

“That kind of talk is alarmist and irresponsible,” said ONN pundit David Barrodale. “Driving truckloads of money out into the New Mexico desert and dumping it into a massive pit is one of America’s greatest traditions.”

“No reasonable person is advocating that we are going to stop destroying money,” added Wall Street Journal columnist Leslie Hillerman. “But the American people earned that money. They have the right to decide how it should be destroyed.”

So real news comes from comedy central and joe the plumber…like it’s funny and unimportant…no wonder the country is in such a mess…

    2. Jason Says:

People here at work that have been hoodwinked into contunuing to feed their money to the Fraud Street vaccum cleaner think that I am stupid for not doing the same. LOL! These fools are so brainwashed!

    3. A Patriot Says:

I do not believe this IS satire at this point.

Just like V for Vendetta stopped being fiction for England some time ago…

Still – humor is a good tool for opening the minds of the uninitiated..

    4. Ted Herzl Says:

The easiest method of destroying the parastic bankers is to close all bank accounts you have, keep nothing but cash and real property (gold, land, etc.). Cash your paycheck immediately, there by denying the crooks the opportunity to leverage that amount to over 20 trillion. Talk about a real liquidity trap.

    5. Ted Herzi Says:

Actually, I changed my mind. Trust the banks: keep all your money in them and keep doing the same things you’ve been doing forever now. Nothing will change unless we change it. A change like I was suggesting earlier would be irresponsible; a panic wouldn’t help anybody.

    6. G. Lauren Says:

Satire folks, get a grip, it’s healthier to laugh at what we are powerless to change. Now just imagine that Bernard Madoff and his chums are in the hole with all the money and the only way out is a very willowy, narrow ladder 200 hundred feet high and you are at the top pissing down.
