Scientists Question FBI Probe On Anthrax: Ivins Could Not Have Been Attacker, Some Say

For nearly seven years, scientist Bruce E. Ivins and a small circle of fellow anthrax specialists at Fort Detrick’s Army medical lab lived in a curious limbo: They served as occasional consultants for the FBI in the investigation of the deadly 2001 anthrax attacks, yet they were all potential suspects.
Over lunch in the bacteriology division, nervous scientists would share stories about their latest unpleasant encounters with the FBI and ponder whether they should hire criminal defense lawyers, according to one of Ivins’s former supervisors. In tactics that the researchers considered heavy-handed and often threatening, they were interviewed and polygraphed as early as 2002, and reinterviewed numerous times. Their labs were searched, and their computers and equipment carted away.
The FBI eventually focused on Ivins, whom federal prosecutors were planning to indict when he committed suicide last week. In interviews yesterday, knowledgeable officials asserted that Ivins had the skills and access to equipment needed to turn anthrax bacteria into an ultra-fine powder that could be used as a lethal weapon. Court documents and tapes also reveal a therapist’s deep concern that Ivins, 62, was homicidal and obsessed with the notion of revenge.

Yet, colleagues and friends of the vaccine specialist remained convinced that Ivins was innocent: They contended that he had neither the motive nor the means to create the fine, lethal powder that was sent by mail to news outlets and congressional offices in the late summer and fall of 2001. Mindful of previous FBI mistakes in fingering others in the case, many are deeply skeptical that the bureau has gotten it right this time.
“I really don’t think he’s the guy. I say to the FBI, ‘Show me your evidence,’ ” said Jeffrey J. Adamovicz, former director of the bacteriology division at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases, or USAMRIID, on the grounds of the sprawling Army fort in Frederick. “A lot of the tactics they used were designed to isolate him from his support. The FBI just continued to push his buttons.”

Someone has to pay for thoose attacks on America. Since Bruce Ivins died due to an OD of Tylenol 3 with codeine, it is possible he was concerned that the truth would get out about his involvement in the anthrax scare. I’d like to do some research and try to dig something up about this Lt. Col. Philip Zach. Anyway, finally someone gets it that the government has some bad eggs in it. I have my suspicions that the President had somehting to do with the attack. Since he was on Cipro one week after 9.11, this does raise questtion. Viet Dinh worked for the AG at the DOJ in the weeks beofre 9/11. The Patriot Act is his brainchild. Viet Dinh is South Vietnamese. he wrote the Patriot Act and Congress had a less dictatorial version of the act. The VP pushed Viet DInh’s version through hreatening congress. Alex Jones is an information stooge, a boisterous bragger and liar, and worst of all, a proxy tool of the finance oligarchs, industrialists, asset-strippers, and Wall-Street robber barons.
This is best illustrated by his utterly disrespectful interview with the author, scholar, and immensely more intelligent Webster Griffin Tarpley.
Mr. Tarpley has been the scourge of the financiers for decades, and Jones has the audacity to challenge him, supposedly in defense of the Mexophobe and reactionary Freedmanite Ron Paul, a man who’s disastrous economic policies border on those used by Pinochet in Chili, the horrendous dictator who was supported by the parasitical elements of Wall Street and The City of London.
Alex Jones is a stooge of Wall Street. A man with immediate connections to both the Petroleum Industrial Complex, the Fourth Estate and Mainstream Media, as well as well documented connections within the FBI. He has been quoted stating he has personal acquaintances within the agency.
I urge all readers to abandon the reactionary hysteria of Alex Jones. A man who’s show is increasingly turning into a Megaphone for the prophets of fear and austerity: the storable food hacks, water filter bimbos,and other perverse hucksters, charlatans, and frauds.

The alleged psychiatric condition of Ivens proves nothing; the US government has a long history of using psychology and pharmacology to mess with people’s minds. Such as in the MK ULTRA cases of Hinckley and Chapman.
Possible scenario: the Feds kept Ivens and his colleagues in a constant state of ‘pins and needles’ stress for the past seven years, while milking each of them for possible incriminating information about themselves and their colleagues. Meanwhile the real perpetrator, Jewish Mossad/CIA operative Lt Col/Dr Phillip Zack, is ignored by the MSM and largely forgotton by the public.
Finally, in the leadup to Administration change in DC, the Feds choose their victim and put him through a psychological wringer, including two INVOLUNTARY psyche hospitalizations, ala the Soviet gulags, and send him to a (Fed-appointed?) psychiatrist who overlooks and ignores the professional, legal, and ethical taboos about revealing information about her client, by screaming about his alleged insanity from the rooftops and to the international press.
Bear in mind that a US Military employees working at a high-security installation, Ivens and his colleagues would have had US military health care insurance, and were probably restricted to using US military or military-approved health care providers. Such a restriction would be particularly enforced during a Federal murder investigation such as this one.
Tylenol with Codeine overdose often causes vomiting within an hour or two of ingestion, which protectively removes most of the drug from the person’s body.
Codeine overdose can make a person go into a stupor and sleep for 24 hours or longer, but they usually wake up without serious complications. The sedative effect of Codeine and other narcotics can be rapidly reversed by administering IV Narcan, which is available at any hospital ER.
Tylenol overdose is not normally immediately fatal, and usually the person recovers from their suicide attempt within a day or two. However, Tylenol overdose is highly toxic to the liver, and people who have overdosed with Tylenol often die an excruciatingly painful death from liver failure that takes several weeks to several months until they finally die.
It seems unlikely that a world-class biochemist such as Ivens would choose to attempt suicide with Tylenol with Codeine, which is notoriously one of the most unreliable and most tortuously painful methods.
Any inclination that Iven’s colleagues might have to speak out about any of this may be stifled by any of several constraints:
a Federal ‘gag order’ placed on all of the suspects and informants, fear of reprisal by the Feds and being ’suicided’ like Ivens, and the fear that anyone you shared information with might be a hostile Federal agent or informant.

Suppose that Alex Jones actually WAS a Federal agent, a Capitalist pig, and a Texas Jew, all rolled into one? Alex Jones still provides one of the best alternative news websites on the Internet, he stumps tirelessly for Truth, and he provides this forum, where anybody, even Federal disinfo agents, can say any damn thing they want.
I’m not a big fan of Ron Paul; anyone who is a Christian and wears a suit raises my hackles. And I do like Webster Tarpley. But Alex Jones has a right to argue with Tarpley about Ron Paul, just as any other Truther has a right to debate such issues. Unlike the US government, within the Truth movement we have REAL debates!

Webster Tarpley is a hopeless New Dealer and worshiper of the establishment elitist Franklin Delano Roosevelt! Tarpley is a cracker-jack historian, political analyst, and an entertaining buffoon, but his economics border on the absurd. Tarpley: Suspend all foreclosures immediately. Result: No one (including me) would have any incentive to pay their mortgage! Tarpley is a socialist dreamer where economics are concerned. These people are dangerous. They have no grasp of economics. And, contrary to Aurelias’s anlaysis - such as it is - Ron Paul is not a Milton Friedman sycophant! Ha! If he knew the first thing about Ron Paul’s economics he would know that Paul is from the Austrian school, the greatest 20th century exponent being Ludwig von Mises. Tarpley incorrectly identified Von Hayek as the leader of the Austrian school. He wasn’t. He also calls Austrian economics “foreign”! Ha! The Founding Fathers could all be classified as “Austrians” because they were so skeptical of government intervention in the economy and believed in only silver and gold being legal money, just as the Austrians do. Tarpley also makes the false claim that FDR pulled the US out of the Great Depression. Wrong! FDR actually caused a depression within a depression. The only thing that got the US out of the Great Depression was World War II. The entire economy was regimented in a manner only dreamed of previously by FDR and his cronies, price controls were slapped on, and all economic activity regulated and geared to one objective: munitions production. With the Allied “victory”, that set the stage for American hegemony based upon a paper money regime that is now coming to its final act. Any former tie to gold viz-a-vis Bretton Woods was a sham and barely lasted 25 years by the time Nixon repudiated Bretton Woods and closed the gold sindow to foreign governments.

If I was this guy’s family I would be fighting to clear his name. (With no court case they can shut the book on it, guilty as charged.)
His brother seems very happy to trash him in the press. Although last night on the news I heard his brother say “Bruce fell in with the wrong group of people.” That made me curious. Sounds like he was being manipulated to me.

I reached the conclusion in 1970 that there is no way that fascism can be rooted out of the US government and US society without dismantling the entire system and rebuilding it from the ground up. The problem is that fascism in the USA runs so deep, and is supported by so many people, that peaceful demonstrations and the democratic electoral political process cannot possibly succeed in fully purging the system. The fascists are so many, so powerful, so entrenched, and so determined that they will never allow themselves to be removed from power peacefully.
To those who believe in using peaceful methods to try to remove fascism from the US government, I say go right ahead and try — I certainly do not oppose you or despise you for wanting to remain peaceful. But I also firmly believe that your methods will fail to accomplish any significant or lasting positive change.
We tried peaceful demonstrations to bring about change during the Viet Nam War, and our efforts weren’t at all successful. The protests were a failure in terms of the level of change that we were striving for — and no, it wasn’t the protesters who brought an end to the Viet Nam War.
In my home city during the VN War, I watched the numbers of participants in anti-VN War rallies and marches rise from 500 people in 1967 to 50,000 in 1970. The biggest anti-War rally in my city at the start of the current Iraq War drew 4,000 participants, and the past two major anti-War rallies in my city likewise drew only 4,000 participants each. A non-increase of participation, from 4,000 to 4,000 after five years, is NOT an inspiring ’show of strength’. If nonviolent, peaceful protest in the USA is going to accomplish anything at all, it’s going to require A LOT more participation than that.
Actually I DO see a realistic possible alternative to using a violent Revolution to overthrow the US government and then rebuild it. That would be for the USA to go through a total economic collapse that would effeectively destroy the ability of the US government, the military, and business to function any longer. Worthless currency, zero trust in government at any level, and extreme public fury against government and business.
What I am suggesting is a scenario in which total economic collapse does the ‘dirty work’ of Revolution for us, so we don’t have to. But if and when that happens, the people still need to be smart enough and gutsy enough to ’sieze the day’ and take control of the government into their own hands.
One scenario that could very well happen is that eventually the police or military will escalate their own use of violence (perhaps with a Kent State type event) against peaceful demonstrators, which may then inspire many of the previously peaceful protesters to morph into violent Revolutionaries.
I learned a lesson about the US government 38 years ago when the Kent State and Jackson State shootings happened. I had hoped that younger dissidents might benefit from this geezer’s experience and advice regarding this issue, but perhaps not. Perhaps each generation really does need to make its own mistakes, and the younger generations that have followed us aging anti-VN War protesters will need to experience their own ‘Kent State’ to provide them with a ‘reality check’ about just how evil the US government and its defenders REALLY are.
