Senator Calls Two Thirds Of Americans Opposing Health Bill “Right-wing Militia” Racists

Rhode Island Democratic Senator Sheldon Whitehouse today called opponents of the Obamacare bill lunatic extremists during a floor speech, failing to account for the fact that in every leading opinion poll almost two thirds of Americans fall into that category.
“They are desperate to break this president. They have ardent supporters who are nearly hysterical at the very election of President Barack Obama.” Whitehouse commented, adding “The birthers, the fanatics, the people running around in right-wing militias and Aryan support groups, it is unbearable to them that President Barack Obama should exist. That is one powerful reason. It is not the only one.”
Whitehouse cited an editorial by The relatively unknown Manchester Journal Inquirer in which the editor described the Republican party as being “dominated by the lunatic fringe”, adding that it “has poisoned itself with hate.”

Clearly, both the Senator and the bastions of journalistic integrity at the Manchester Journal Inquirer have not bothered to look at the latest opinion polls on the healthcare bill.
Had they done so they would have discovered that despite the progression of the legislation through the Senate, it is still highly unpopular with the American people.
The latest Rasmussen Reports weekly tracking update shows that 41% of voters nationwide favor the bill and 55% are opposed. Those figures are essentially unchanged from a week ago. This the fifth straight week with support for the legislation between 38% and 41%.
Almost two thirds of Americans oppose the bill in a poll from CNN eleven days ago, while 51% oppose in a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll.
An NBC/Wall St Journal poll found that just 32% believe the healthcare overhaul is a good idea, while only 36% pledged support in an AP-GFK poll.
When a journalist from the Washington Times approached Whitehouse, he denied that he was intimating that opponents of the healthcare bill were racist, and also denied that he’d even said the word “aryan”.
According to Senator Whitehouse’s logic, this means that 97% of the Washington Times’ readers are virulent racists.
Senator Whitehouse’s unfounded “racist” slur is yet another example of the establishment left playing the phony race card in an attempt to slant the debate.
Injecting the idea of discrimination in an effort to polarize a group of people is no different to actually engaging in the act of discrimination.

Well, let me just say right off that I am from Rhode Island. And I couldn’t disagree
more with Mr. Whitehouse. We have a real problem in Rhode Island. Our Politicians
get their ass’s kissed all day long. Because, in Rhode Island, its not WHAT you know,
its WHO you know. If you know a “Pol” you are “connected” and that’s what its all
about. Hell, our license plate motto is “Rhode Island: Hey! Whats in it for me??”
Sheldon comes from an old money family, as does his wife, and they both have
former Government officials as ancestors. He comes from a privileged background
and has had very little contact on a meaningful level with the average working
stiff. And that shows in his remarks. He should apologize IMMEDIATELY and I will
call his office to DEMAND that he does. I will post his response. Actually, now that I
think about it, NONE of Rhode Island’s congressional delegation has ever really
held a job in the private sector. They were either born rich – Whitehouse / Kennedy
(another A-hole) or went to work for the Government right out of college – Reed/
Langavin. I’ll cut Langavin some slack though. He signed on to Ron Paul’s bill
to audit the Fed. These guys could NOT BE more out of touch with the “average”
American if they TRIED! They are the New Royalty! And want to be treated as such.
They don’t care what you think and they know what is best for us because, after all,
with the proper breeding, and admittance to the “best” schools” you are a “born” to

Setting up a straw man defense to push a crap piece of legislation is really low.
The congress and the President have not satisfied either side of this issue with this compromise. For the left there will be no “single payer” option and for the right there is still substantial costs in this bill with which there is no way to pay; this in turn will increase taxes long term and increase the continued devaluation of the US’s currency.
We all know that there is a problem with the United States health care system, but the issues of tort reform, the many stumbling blocks for insurance carriers to cross state lines and the oligopoly that is plaguing the system are not being addressed. This issue is too complex and important to be rushed through and the congress needs to take a step back and determine what is in the best interest of the American public.

That’s because nobody has done it yet. It’s already too late, since they own the world’s economies and have just created a world government, and nobody so much as got off the couch about it. I stopped going to rallies and protests 4 years ago after I got into a fight infront of the gated entrance of the Texas capitol here in Austin. I confrunted about a dozen commies preparing to protest the minute man rally that sunday morning. Then I asked them what they thought about the 2nd amendment and they were against it. I then told them that we shoot people like you. Well they did not like that and the largest male commie spit in my face, luckily I was wearing sun glasses. I pushed him back and one other male commie jumped on me and grabbed me by my head and shoulder. He was much taller than I am but I reached up with my right arm and put it around his neck, fliped him over my hip and pinned him in a headlock on the grass just missing the sidewalk. Well he screamed like a girl and all his palls just stood there. I told him to calm down and I let him go when he shut up then I spit in the face of the commie that spit at me. Then a female in the group charged after me and I ran through the gates on to the capitol grounds as I am not accustomed to fighting with girls. After that incident I told myself that I needed to wait to release my rage and wait for a better time. But I tell you they were a bunch of cowards for not helping their comrad when I had him pinned, I am only 5′7″ and just under 160 lbs. I know that there will be war in the this land and then I will fight.

FYI: For anyone that took statistics or critical thinking classes the truth about “polling” is usually know. Polls are made to influence opinion not measure it. The questions are rigged and the results are skewed by payment for answers that reflect what the customer wants to project. This is the reason polls are never used in real science. period.

They will simply cease to exist as a legal entity. They will have no inherent rights, no human rights, no legal standing whatsoever — save whatever modicum of process the government arbitrarily deigns to grant them from time to time, with its ever-shifting tribunals and show trials.
This extraordinary ruling occasioned none of those deep-delving “process stories” that glut the pages of the New York Times, where the minutiae of policy-making or political gaming is examined in highly-spun, microscopic detail doled out by self-interested insiders. Obviously, giving government the power to render whole classes of people “unpersons” was not an interesting subject for our media arbiters. It was news that wasn’t fit to print. Likewise, the ruling provoked no thundering editorials in the Washington Post, no savvy analysis from the high commentariat — and needless to say, no outrage whatsoever from all our fierce defenders of individual liberty on the Right.

And the U.S. law on torture of any kind is crystal clear: it is forbidden, categorically, even in time of “national emergency.” And the instigation of torture is, under U.S. law, a capital crime. No person can be tortured, at any time, for any reason, and there are no immunities whatsoever for torture offered anywhere in the law.
And yet this is what Barack Obama — who, we are told incessantly, is a super-brilliant Constitutional lawyer — has been arguing in case after case since becoming president: Torturers are immune from prosecution; those who ordered torture are immune from prosecution. Again, let’s be absolutely clear: Barack Obama has taken the freely chosen, public, formal stand — in court — that there is nothing wrong with any of these activities. Nothing to answer for, nothing meriting punishment or even civil penalties. What’s more, in championing the lower court ruling, Barack Obama is now on record as believing — insisting — that torture is an ordinary, “foreseeable consequence” of military detention of all those who are arbitrarily declared “suspected enemy combatants.”
And still further: Barack Obama has now declared, openly, of his own free will, that he does not consider these captives to be “persons.” They are, literally, sub-humans. And what makes them sub-humans? The fact that someone in the U.S. government has declared them to be “suspected enemy combatants.” (And note: even the mere suspicion of being an “enemy combatant” can strip you of your personhood.)

I have documentation proving Senator Whitehouse was a member of an unorganized militia! -the very kind of people he is demonizing now! It’s in federal law, USC Title 10 section 311. Just as every male U.S. citizen who is registered for Selective Service is automatically a member of the unorganized militia of the United States upon turning 18 and being registered with S.S., so was this douchebag Whitehouse. The state militias were wrongfully turned into ‘National Guard’ with unconstitutional actions starting with the Dick Act of a century ago. They were NEVER intended by the founders to be anything but a reserve for the military, only called up to war when absolutely neccesary, (and war is declared by Congress, which ain’t happened since 1941) They were never supposed to be sent overseas as military like they are now! But that’s a whole other problem
They make it sound as if ‘It’s the law’ that young men have to register with S.S. when turning 18, actually, no one can be made to contract into any situation against their will in America. They can’t make you get a Social Security # either.
What the law says is that if you ain’t registered for Social Security and Selective Service then you cannot apply for benefits like welfare, unemployment etc. and of course you can’t get Social security $ when you retire unless you’ve been in the system and paying something in for years. Those who want nothing to do with the G** damned system and the strings attached can simply never opt in (by getting a SS# or registering etc.
If one did try to register for Selective Service, and didn’t have a Social security #, they would say go register with Social Sec. and come back, but no law says you have to be with Social Security! Needless to say, if you ain’t with the system then you need to responsibly make provisions for your own retirement (like a lot of people did before FDR started the damn program to begin with!)

It would be fair if fast food franchises would only hire black employees. It would open up millions of new jobs for those that face job discrimination. Education of blacks should only focus on the practical needs of their future employers. Senator Whitehouse has a rather presumptuous name. Just imagine the predictable Presidential campaign slogan: Whitehouse for the White House. Though with this petulant outburst on his part I doubt he will ever have a chance at that now.
